It's a fun game with a lot of potential. I think the design is really difficult because it's supposed to SEEM hard and desperate. Winning should feel like limping across the finish line. The Battle of Britain wasn't about Britain bravely massacring the Luftwaffe as soon as they crossed the Channel, it was about holding the country together while the RAF did whatever they could.
Here's my suggestions:
-Make the combat math more transparent(how much better are Spitfires?)
-Instead of ramping up the difficulty through random events and losing an inordinate amount of planes, just have a lot more German planes attack as the game goes on
-Someone else suggested more recruiters. Again, I'd balance this out with more German attacks
Random Idea: Ace Pilots
You'd have to track an individual pilot, but perhaps if a pilot survived X battles he turns into an Ace. You could either keep him on as a more effective pilot, or ground him to bolster recruiting efforts.
4/5

I like the random events but like someone said it seems the negatives one always come once your people hit a certain "magic number".
Another element you may want to put it is the V1 and V2 rockets V1's were easy to take out with fighters but the V2's were unstoppable.
I also dislike the cap on the recruiters, when the game get harder it becomes impossible to recruit enough people and then it becomes almost impossible to win.
I like the random event that go on, it adds a level of difficulty and keeps it interesting however they seem only a few events,
perhaps mix them or randomize the amount of effect they produce. Could also add in ground based air defense or even the Royal Navy as they had anti-air capabilities.
Over all good game.

I love the idea behind this game. I love the history of this war. Thus I am critical of its details.
The British RAF was and probably still is the best Air Force in the world. Their kill/death ratio was off the charts so as the others mentioned its seem a bit
far fetched that I would send twice the fighters as planes and have them all get shot down or at least the majority.
Most sources suggest that the RAF had about a 2/1 ratio against the Germans.
Also I had no idea that the south east contained radar stations until a hint popped up one battle to late,
to this I suggest having more detailed information about the areas and about the planes as well for those who do not know the difference for the German planes.
Also during this time the English and Americans were the best in the spy business next to the Russians.
Spy's are important but it seems that in this game their chance to die was way too high.

Just finished it and I love it, it's not perfect, but addressing some of the issues in the comments could get it close... I would love to see this same style applied to U-boats and Convoys in the Battle of the Atlantic also... 5/5 game for me

i think the recruitment cap should be lifted from 20 to 30. At max capacity each day you get 8-12 new recruits but even if you outnumber the enemy 2-1 and are using all spitfires you can easily lose this many and more in a single day.
I understand the number cap is there to stop the game from becoming too easy but to get around this you could remove the cap and just have diminishing returns for each extra recruiter you hire. That way you have to invest large numbers of people into that resource to get a decent number of new recruits each day.

Great game, only major complaint I have is that the minus (-) button appears next to every resource even when there are 0 units allocated there.
And some comments for those that don't know:
The battle sequences are predetermined before it actually shows it. Planes blowing up after the battle is seemingly over is just a minor glitch, but the end result is what is supposed to happen, that plane was supposed to go down.
Second, you don't have to click over and over to add and subtract, holding down the mouse button on them works too.

I'm getting terrible lag on this game, status bar keeps saying "transferring data from gameplay.mochimedia.com", so I think their servers might not be working correctly.

Somethings terribly wrong with the combat if one bomber can take out two of my spitfire fighters. Last I checked fighters owned bombers, hence the term "fighter"

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice well crafted game. Seems like it's missing an R&D option, but maybe that could be in a sequel.

The fight mechanism is strange. In my second try, I lost way fewer planes, then in the first. Why? Because I usually sent no more than 75% of the maximum enemy. If you send more, that's just more casualities on your side. I don't get it...

need to get something that tells you when you run out of metal, and intelligence problems make the start of the game too difficult.

it say i got 5 hurricanes and 2 spitfires ready to fly but when i try to deploy them i only can deploy 4 and i got 20 f.....g pilots

this game really needs to let you manually save unless you send out all 4 of your pilots and they all die...game over

Nice little game, enjoyed it thanks. It seems a little buggy, a couple times I got told a city was destroyed in the Blitz, but it wasn't and then playing the next round the city is ok with 100% health, other than that a nice game.

I will also add that the spitfire was easier to shoot down than the hurricane. So maybe in the game the spitfire should do more damage but the hurricane could survive longer?

nice idea but poorly engineered in some parts, expecially the combat screen. I keep noticing english planes that love exploding on their own, even if nazi don't hit them, or even better, when the battle is already won and all nazi planes are already dead, they keep on suiciding... Also, is very frustrating to manually add in city screen +1 -1 to every resource, there must be a button MAX to be able to allocate full resource in 1 click.

Terrible "event" generation and confusing battle rules.
Planes keep being shot down even when all enemy are destroyed!!!
It's frustrating that I could lose over 10 planes while attacking just 5 enemies with over 60 planes .
What upset me most is that whenever the number of pilots / spies or planes hits a certain level, negative events will keep cominig up to greatly reduce my intelligence / defense power.
It seems to me that the more successful you play it, the more it punlishes you.
Although it has excellent setting , music and graphics, all the fun is just taken away by the "unfairness" so awkwardly imposed. If this game is meant to be unfair, why not just state that in the description so that players may expect it and thus have less disappointment (like Mud and Blood 2).

weird game. Having more planes in an area just means heavier losses than less planes facing the exact same number and type of enemies. So if I send 4 spits vs 6 german (3fighter/3bombers) We each lose all but 1 fighter. Same enemy against 10 spit 8 h. means I lose all but 4 planes. Just silly. 2/5 for this and other weird effects that makes the game seem pretty random.

It would be nice if the city HP% is directly related to the production rate of metal, planes and/or recruit. IMO, a fair amount is 150%*HP%*current. In fact, u can split up the modifers so the first 2 area affect metal, next 2 areas affect recruit etc. As it were, the current best tactic is take a beating for a few turns first and then fight back... that's hardly realistic.
I'm not really sure how the fighting calculation goes, but it seems a bit fishy. I appear to lose more planes if i send more.... of course, more plane gives u a win as opposed to "kill lots but lose battle"
And a note on random events... I don't feel it's fair to get a negative event if u successfully defended all attacks in a specific turn.

Good game, it's nice to manage the Battle for England. The Spitfire is quite underpowered though, I usually needed at least 30-50% more planes to have similar casualities. And if memory serves me well, the Spitfire was made of pure awesome...

Pretty annoying when the location of where they attack is greyed out. You have to guess, and if you get it wrong the germans own your city. So you gotta plan your dudes right.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I liked the game, really, but it needs some kind of closure. Every turn is just the same as the one before. A button to auto split the resources towards the attacked cities would also be nice.

Nice game.
But the difficulty level should be review : it is to difficult at the beginning.
But once you're on your way, it become to easy. So you have to arrange that.
And having better interface. To navigate between the differents menus is a little boring. At least, you should had some elements on the main menu as metal scraps.
It's also difficult to understand how work the metal scraps. I understand it (and why I didn't produce a lot of planes) in the middle of my game. You should add some message which says that we don't have enough metal to produce a plane.
But, for the rest, nice!
4/5

To start off, ignore any incoming attacks and get 10 recruiters. Let a turn go by. Look at your areas, and round down (No rounding up) each percentage to a multiple of 5. For each 5% missing, get a builder and put them there. If you have more builders then needed in a day, take some out and make them do something else for a while. You can always re-assign them. Put the rest in recruiters. Keep doing this until 20 recruiters. Now focus on getting to 8 workers and 10 harvesters. Once done produce spitfires all the time. If you get damaged too quickly, put some firemen. You now want to get your spies up to 45 (10% of them are likely to die each day, which comes out at 4.5 spies dead. Replace them each day). Once you have this sorted, either increase firemen for defence (Only put 8-17 firemen in each area or your asking for them to die), builders (Buy in sets of 4, and get 5 harvesters for each one) or pilots. Once you have enough pilots and planes, then start attacking.
