Not only do the badges not work for this game (at least for me), but the BOTD in this week is impossible for F2P, as it requires you to unlock Bolt scrolls (which are in the paid version only, AFAIK).

The shock and awe badge can't be done unless you paid to unlock the premium version. I thought this was against kongregate's rules? What are the badge designers doing?

Killing 1000 dragons for 60 points is crazy.
Killing 2 dragons for 5 points is 2.5 points per dragon.
Killing 8 more dragons (10 total) for 15 points is 1.875 points per dragon.
Killing 90 more dragons (100 total) for 30 points is 0.33 points per dragon.
Killing 900 more dragons for 60 points is 0.067 points per dragon.

Good day ladies and gentlemen from the game development department. I think it's a very successful game, but with time it unfortunately becomes a bit monotonous and boring. You could expand this game further and make it even more interesting. May I make a few suggestions for improvement? New monsters. New weapons. Or weapons that you can take over from the monsters you kill. Or special weapons that are only available for a certain time. Or a bonus level that is only unlocked when you complete a certain task. Hidden paths that are only unlocked when you have solved a certain task.
A shop where you can buy items is always fun.

Is astounding. The farther I go in the game, the harder it is to get a equipment above +4 in the roulette. It gets boring after some time.

I've killed two dragons, but I didn't get the other easy badge. If you look at the list of high scores, there's no stats for this week. I don't think any of the badges for this game are working currently.

Looks like Kongregate achievements for this game are not awarded at all. I have obtained in-game achievements Burglar (pilfer a weapon) and Dragon Slayer I (kill 2 dragons), but no Kongregate achievements. Probably BOTD can't be obtained as well.

In addition to the "Shock and Awe" badge only being available for free on the 6th career level (due to the free premium trial from the 5th boss)... it looks like it's not even being registered correctly. Despite getting the achievement in-game, the badge is not awarded. Looking at the "Bolt kills" high score category, it appears that it's only registering for those that kill 4 enemies with one scroll.

To the Kongregate person who is now in charge of badges.... EASY = 10 minutes max of playtime. They are meant to encourage you to initially play the game and get a feel of it. MEDIUM = 30-60 minutes of play time (meant to reach some milestone in the game (either to finish it or to get you to a point where you have invested too much time to put it down without finishing it). HARD = some endurance or skill threshold that can be considered an actual achievement. IMPOSSIBLE was rarely offered. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to these thresholds. Kongregate users.. please upvote so the Kong admins see this on Sunday. -Pip

For BOTD, you have to beat the 5th dragon, as a reward you will have premium in the next dungeon. Keep repeating it until you find a scroll and kill 2 with it.
TIP: You can retreat from the dungeon before winning it if you couldnt won the badge.

From what I can see Bolt Scroll can only be used if you have a premium account, and this week the BOTD is that achievement.

Making a badge depend on premium content (thunder scrolls), and then making into a Badge of the Day is a no-no.
The fact they drop at round 4 but cannot be used (from the games help) should have been noticed.

@LavrDracko You can Bull Rush monsters with more than 1HP with a feat bonus. Either get a max attack role, or do a very high attack role against a monster. This makes getting the achievement harder as you need RNG to even be able to set up the attack then have to hope the other two attacks work while in highly specific situations. It's not impossible though, I did manage to achieve it.

Quick question - aout the works achievemnet...If I CAN'T Bull Rush monsters with more then 1HP and Cleave DON'T proc on monsters with less than 2HP? do, how the ...... it is possible to do it? Am I not getting somethng? I'm not even mentioning that getting the situation alltogether is nigh to impossible considering usage of other skills, but those two CONTRADICTS each other,,,

Either: Buy premium.
Or, if you want to play for free, win vs red dragons, and you will get a free premium pass for your next dungeon. Then, you can use scrolls of bolt you will find during this dungeon run and with a bit of luck (and the correct positioning), you can get the badge.

oooooh, I found out why! I found someone equally as ancient as myself to ask on Steam! Apparently they DID advertise here a LOOONG time ago before actually uploading it, and I went and did the 2 dragon quest on THE WEBSITE for an offer wall reward. Explains why I remember doing it but not having the badge. ;Þ

At level 14 dragons it gets extremely difficult to win without premium. It is very frustrating to use all knowledge and skills but still unable to win. I think I will stop playing soon it just make me too frustrated.

@n000r did you die after killing the 8 dragons? The free premium pass only applies the the next battle after the red dragons die.

Killed 8 red dragons. Moved on to 9 white ones. Forgot about the bolt scrolls on the way to the lair. But when I got there I couldn't use the bolts - "Premium". The bolt scrolls can't be used on dragons, only on ordinary mobs? Or something went wrong?

As you get further you face more dragons at once, plus they are sometimes hunting targets, so it goes faster than it first appears. I am a little over halfway there already (585)

Turns out you can't call more than one worm to your help - a new call will just tell it to change place. Still, my dwarf and the wormy had a fun magic dragon-ball. XD Another thing I've noticed - after the mage dragon was killed (it was the last one) it was the end of the battle despite a summoned mob coming over. Seemed weird.

The BOTD takes like half an hour. Not much time. Although most of the time, badges that take half an hour are medium badges. But if you're gonna have an impossible badge for killing 1000 dragons that takes about 250 hours, you can't give a medium badge for killing 2 dragons in 30 minutes.

At least the botd is possible, I don't think to much of the rest of the game... especially annoying I can pick up lightning scrolls but have to pay to use them

@sporefreak: Greg left Kongregate about 4 years ago when ownership transferred to a new company. But I do agree, the achievements and BotDs being given out has been worse compared to 4+ years ago.

to correct myself, I didn't realise there were enemies between in those instances. Turns out it's just bull rushes and has nothing to do with exits.

idk how or why, but when hovering over an unoccupied tile next to an exit 2 tiles away, my screen (not the game or the browser, but the actual screen) goes completely dark from the cursor down and blinks from the cursor up.
I don't know how this game can do that to my computer, but I'm guessing there's something wrong with some code around the cursor.

@kiss_of_kill, you get access to all unlocked premium features for one career mode game after defeating Red Dragons, so it's actually possible to get the Shock and Awe badge.

devs only have one game, yet it looks SOOOOO familiar. Did they delete the other already badged one long ago to drop this one to milk more money, or did someone copy it? :?
I could swear I played one with the same hex style movement, inventory, battle system, somewhat similar graphics, etc YEARS ago, yet it was top-down 2d instead of isometric. The only big difference was the special attack bar was on the opposite corner

@nono, Wariat, Dan: Given that every White Dragon mission in Career mode is a free chance to try Premium, there are simply no pay-to-win badges on this game.

As I was shooting dragons which couldn't reach me because I was protected by a pit, a runestone and a patch of fire, it occurred to me how fortunate it is that dragons can't fly.
