that's it I'm not playing this idiotic game anymore, you say your random roll generator works well i say it's a piece of crap when i lose 12 rolls in a row to die twice in two straight games.

Great game overall. Though I did notice repeatable a bug in the "Undo Move" mechanic.
1) If you click a scroll
2) Cancel scroll
3) Use "Undo" button -> Nothing happens but your single "undo" gets used and is unavailable
It seems like it's treating the selection of a scroll as if it was a move.

I think I encountered a few glitches regarding, well, guarding. Though some of these may be intentional. First you don't receive a parry bonus from ranged attacks, and you don't counterattack ropers, even if you're right next to them.
That's right. The ability to defend with your sword when parrying is only against melee attacks. And the Roper's attack is considered a ranged attack, even if you are next to it.

played 7 games so far and seemed to roll mostly 1-4 while enemies seemed to roll 5 and higher all the time. doesn't seem the rolls are evenly balanced.

Bug: When auto-opening multiple equipment after clearing the room, sometimes you don't get the equipment if you spin too quickly.
Whenever a spinner gets skipped like that, you still do get the item, if it was of any improvement. But we need help tracking down the bug because it is still disconcerting. If it ever happens, please immediately leave a message about it using the Feedback button on the bottom right of the room screen. Thanks!

nameless minion: once you have all three chars unlocked and know how to use them, its quite rare to loose to the early rooms since there is almost allways one that can be gotten through unlocking more. though sometimes it requires switching heroes several times. I have not lost in the first six rooms since I unlocked the dwarf and elf and thats 3 times around 13-15 red dragons tournament score+ 45 campaign score (from 6 to 50) sofar. sometimes its a bit of a puzzle though.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The dragons are rarely the difficulty in campaign/tournament modes. It's the fact that even the earliest rooms can spawn so many enemies, leaving little to no room to move around and find a position. It feels real bad losing just due to the lack of balance.

Imjachary1 : Is the dwarf supposed to be able to kill slimes with an uppercut?
according to the dev that was an oversight, but hes not planning to change it anytime soon. Also the dwarf is not the best char for the tunnels anyways, even with uppercut kills

These villagers are either very brave or extremely stupid to not abandon the village after being repeated attacked by thousands of dragons.

you need to check the roll randomizer, I just got 5 1's in a row and 80% of my rolls are 1-4 and if I do get anything over a 5 it's because he rolls a 8,9, or 10. I'm 5th lvl and died to a pack of rats in the first room.
The roller is random. Quoting a player from our chat room 30 minutes ago: "Randomness can be clumpy (i.e. it's not unusual to get long sequences of the same number). People don't usually expect that. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP-Ipsat90c "

there is a bug if you get a 2nd weapon and there are some scrolls aswell, the 2nd weapon will not be rolled but just discarded
We just released a possible fix. If it happens again, please report it right away using the Feedback button on the bottom right of a room screen. That will let us see exactly where in the log it happened.

I love this game. It makes me think and stuff. but I suck at it, so I hate it, lol. I've unlocked the campaign but I can't get more than 2 rounds in before dying and resetting... Keep up the good work guys

hmmm. perhaps you could add specters (1drag and 3 spec 2 drag and 2 spec and so on)? or take out the items in the second room to add an attrition element.
There is a dip in difficulty when the second lair room is added, which is where you are now. But it shouldn't take long for you to reach enough dragons that it is difficult. But we are going to look at ways to reduce the difficulty dip when the second room is added.

Noticed that after 5 dragons the artificial difficulty kicks in. Enemies that I used to be able to wreck with worse weapons, I can barely hit with better ones. Not only that, evidently the laws of math are different in this world. I never knew that 9 was greater than 11. Funny how this doesn't happen in the lower levels. Had this game at 4 stars. Updated it to 1.
Why ruin this game with an rigged die rolling system? Just having more dragons increases the challenge. /smh.
The "artificial difficulty" you are describing does not exist. You are probably just experiencing a run of bad luck. As for 9 being more than 11, you probably just missed one of the attack modifiers. It would be crazy for us to rig the dice against the player - we absolutely do not do that. As you said, it is the increase in dragons that make the game harder - there is nothing else making the game more difficult.

I must revise my previous not so positive sounding comment here where I was concerned that the game would require lots of grinding.
TIP: The game should inform the player at the start about it's dynamic cause that would explain most of the down-comments here that they simply do not know what is in store later on.
The game gets a lot easier after some 10+ games due to grasping it's mechanics and character xp skills as well as that you start with better equipment after a while.
The forum community as well as the developer are also real helpful.
New additions as one progresses keep it interesting.
I hope that more content will get added over time.
Good work Roguesword.

I seem to encounter a glitch that skips the spinner, even when improvement is possible, many times even likely. I've had this happen a few times, many of which when my equipment is only a one or two. I don't even click anything, the chest opens, and then the spinner appears for half a second, then it's over. I think this has to do with the update that lets you skip the spinner I've never had this glitch happen before that. I hope it gets fixed because it basically makes the equipment disappear, and I don't get anything. It's very sad when I desperately need an improvement for my weak equipment, and finish a risky room, for nothing.
There is a bug where the spinner occasionally gets skipped. We need help figuring it out, so if this happens please leave feedback using the button on the bottom right of the screen. However, the skipping of the spinner is purely cosmetic - if there was a weapon that's better than what you had, you will still get it even though the spinner was skipped.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Could you add an option to completely disable the spin animation? I know you just add skip, however we still need to press spin and then once more to skip. I really like if I could completely disable the spin and just see an informative message of the result which I do not need to interact as in after skip. And maybe a celebration sound effect if there is an improvement :) even if I disable the spin.

after fame level 50, other 2 characters get unlocked. now i can switch out characters according to their strengths! Elf = good for magic casters who run from you + jumping over slimes in tunnel. Dwarf = good for when in a room full of enemies that surround you. Human = my go to for fighting dragons because of press and cleave. took a lot of persistence and screaming at rng but finally did it!

Seams that comments that are not praising this game get instantly nuked despite them just saying what they think and not being rude or anything.
Aside from the decent artwork the game play is not really interesting.
Dragon Lance did a lot better.
On such small fighting fields it's hard to employ any sort of tactics.
As terrain there are only pits or at least I have not seen more.
Simply avoiding any fight to pass a room is nearly impossible.
Past the first area the enemies become OP and progress seams pure luck.
Seams that grinding or buying is the way to go here.
Before I get nuked as well please someone answer me this question.
Once I have entered a room can I go to a previously cleared room?
It be tactically nice to be able to go out of a room/ combat and then enter it again through a different entrance.
Yes, you can do that. You can also use scrolls to get past difficult rooms if sneaking did not work. There are many tricks and tactics that you'll learn which make the game much less luck-dependent than it may originally seem.

In full screen, after you win the game, Kong disconnects you=\
Or when you start playing("send in the human" button), and press "Full screen", it warps you back to that screen again. Please fix.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's like an unbalanced tabletop game that forces you to get powerful by playing hours and hours to level up your starting character level/abilities...
And you have to pay if you want anything besides the base character.
Just awful, don't waste your time, a child could make a procedural-generated board game more complex and strategical than this.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Terrible RNG aspects in every inch of the game. Everything else would get a 4 but this is unplayable garbage with lazy RNG mechanics controlling EVERYTHING except your choice of where to move and WHAT to attack.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
In order to swap hero why should I go to the upper level (the caverns)? It should be possible whenever I am out of combat. It is just a waste of time.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Rasenshuriken3 Yep, that's intentional. The idea is that, since both of the character's hands are occupied with the bow, they couldn't swing up a shield to block attacks.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I understand that game is RNG but please make it adaptable one. (ie if I miss 1-2 times I will have higher chances to hit next time , or if I hit too many times ,I will have lower chances ) and I understand bad luck streaks but its unfun when you redo dungeon 4 times in the row cause of bad rng and just now on fifth try died to first monster cause im rolling 1 6 times in the row and monster is rolling pure 10s
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Please bring back the ability to skip the spinner animation. It's tedious to have to watch it every time when the result is already determined. Or give us a way to skip the screen entirely in settings.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Can we please get the choice NOT to charge on dwarf and use the bow instead? It's incredibly limiting to playing tactically.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think you should break the +9 limit and use a game mode (campaign) where the villagers add that boost on the chests clocks for the other game mode, where not just dragons are aded but other monsters get harder too. horizons would be huge, new parts on the map, new bosses...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's simply not fun to lose constantly to RNG. the whole point of tabletop rpg is to have a good time with friends, this doesn't even have a story. Why am I going to spend money on a game when you can't even balance the 1st map to be fair? It doesn't bode well for the game and I don't understand why this has such good reviews because it's a trash game devoid of any form of craftsmanship.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I tried playing with the dwarf (visiting), what I enjoyed, but when you are at 2 hexagons away from your enemy and the path is not blocked, you can only attack by charging at them, and I think you should be given the option of alternatively firing your bow (if for example they are an exploding enemy)
