Tip: in character creation, let the player choose the stats, random is just frustrating. Also, enemies are too hard for the cleric...

I can't train my clerics anywhere, and my wizard's int only goes up to 8... Makes me sad when I discard all the Heal Party and Shield Party scrolls :( Also, I found it easier to lvl up with a fighter leader (nice to know the enemy is waay to big before you fight them ;) ) although now that I'm like level 8, the wizards do a lot more damage, and can have a lot more hit points (since they're the only ones who can cast the +5 hp scrolls).

i had 4 fighters, 2 of them could level up in the hut till strength 20, 1 of them they said they didnt trained that type of monster (or something like that) and at the other one, with strength 15, they said he couldnt be trained anyfurther, i dont know if that are bugs but i post them anyway

The knight cannot level up in the hut, sorry. Weapons are automatically equiped at all times. No that actually isn't a bug with the walls around the castle in the NE. Hopefully people are running into few if any bugs now. Yes, this is 2.0

was working ok but went to get pots and wont let me buy any says i cant carry anymore equipment screen shows i have 4294967295 pots but i have none in pot screen

Madgod, you're still playing under the original version I posted. You just need to refresh the screen load the new version with all the fixes. I believe I found the problem with creatures getting too many attacks. Of course those of you playing now, will have to refresh to the new version I just posted...still listed as 2.0 though, but with all the previous mentioned bugs removed. Keep posting any found bugs, as I want a bug free game as much as you guys do.

party died and i reloaded, looks like i get to keep some of the bounty i found after i last saved, and my party is full of hirelings i bought after the last save ... but they're dead!

Yes CluelessWonder, that's definately a bug, shoudln't do that...I'm trying to track that one down...it's being difficult. Btw, I know how to get into the castle in the NE :)

starting a new game (cleric), solo vs 1st enemy, a bat, is hitting 4x per round. As this did not happen when starting the fighter, solo vs 1st enemies, I assume this is a BUG.
1 that makes the game too hard to be fun.

Odd Thing (probably BUG): As a Fighter, had 2 Troll companions, and in fights everyone had 1 turn each. 1 Troll died, so I booted them, and then every enemy had 2 attacks per round. Then the other Troll died and I booted them, too.
Now, my (newly) solo fighter is taking 4 hits for every 1 he can make.... this is making things *very* hard.

Nice job fixing the two I mentioned. Here's one more: when you disband a party member, it takes two tries. The first try results in something like a scroll reading question.

.... Not a bad idea I guess.. REALLY badly over-Balanced toward enemies in the begining. Fight a rat and need 2 or 3 healing pots to recover?
Death = gameover is silly for an RPG.
How about a inventory you can use for weapons and such.
But REALLY need a rest function for after fights if you can't/won't nerf the fights. Either that or give enough gold to buy 100 healing pots. I dont like running back to the town every 4 or 5 fights to restock.

I played the first one and it was less buggy but keep going. You are doing great most people just give up. Surprise attack is a little annoying and the increase in the cost of upgrades maybe a bit much. Keep up the good work.

Selling a Magician's Hat starts the game over. Discarding a scroll locks up movement. A save and a reload fixes that.
Good additions, but a bit buggy to get a good overall idea. Looking forward to 2.1

I'm not playing this any more, sorry. The enemies - even the rats - have too much strength and you can't BUY a weapon, plus there's no means of defence. Also, the stat increases either cost you 300 gold or happen when you level up - but only one stat and only one point. Sorry. *Rates 3/5 because I like RPGs.*

I liked it, I think there should still be a healer, since pots cost a lot in the beginning. Also, that surprise attack thing with the monsters? Uh, yeah...Lame. It shouldn't happen so often.

What I mean is that the rat attacks you three times in one attack, you only attack once. Couldn't you consolidate those attacks. All the text looks... Messy.

Hmm, sounds like the game is doing a few weird things to some people. A rat should always get 1 hit. I'll have to track down that bug. Keep posting comments so I can improve the game. Thanks.

Anyone else having problems with Save & Load? It works fine for me on my end. Also, I've never seen where the screen goes blank as ded banzai notes. Hope no one else is having problems.

save and load doesn't work as you can't overwrite a previous (it always reloads the first save)... and for some reason it drops everything in my inventory when I save.

Cool. Nice adaptation of the dungeon crawl/nethack genre. The design could do with some cleaningup but otherwise a fun game.
