How do I get a human "archangel"? The story mentions this in lvl 13 that the angel soldiers give me a human archangel - how do I get that? Complete achievement 6?

OK done it:
Achievement List : Epic War 2 * Hobbits : View instructions and credits * Dwarves : Load the game 3 times * Bomberman : Lose 3 games * Red Dragon : Beat level 17 * Devil : Beat level 18 * Angel Soldier : Max out the research tree for all races.
And (thanks Scrapcat) the Lord of Hell is useless pathetic against flyers.

it's not that hard to get hobbits and dwarves. I was letting myself lose and decided to see how powerful the dwarves were on level 6. I sent forth an army of dwarves and when the dwarves got near the castle I spamed hobbits to assist them.

DHirshman, the beast riders are paladins; there's nothing really magic about them, except that they're faster. I slow down advances with a hobbit every 2-3 seconds, stalling the beast-rider wave under the arrows.
It depends a *lot* on what you have already. At level 9, I hope that your tower is at level 4, your barracks at 4 or 5. The arrows and paladins, with support from spamming hobbits, should be enough. If you're doing something else, whisper at me, and I'll try to answer you tonight. Break is over -- back to work.

Thanks to help from all of you, I played level 16 (elves against the Frog King) for the first time over lunch today ... and WON!
The opposing boss got about 1 body length from my arrow tower, but I got him without taking any castle damage. It took 2 forest guardians, 5 angels, 3 sets of holy swords, 2 meteor showers, and 4 arrow showers, but it *can* be done!

I went overboard on the first level. after farming mana till i had 900 or so i spawned 41 squires. completly unnessesary

rofl, at lvl 4 i used one knight alone after farming some mana, he fighted a bit then i sent another knight when he had around 300 HP and he did reach the castle crushing like 5 sec before it was crushed and my 4 catapults didnt even start firing
