HOWEVER: for cave of trials 5 you need to use a special loadout. The trick is not in killing the super goblin, because he is unkillable and does 99999 damage a hit. Anyway, you need: witch, mermaid, goblin, dwarf engineer, phantom armour, centaur archers. Spells: athena's protection, freeze trap, hercules' strength, thunderbolt, phoenix, anything else if you want it. The stage is comprised solely of goblins and kamikaze bombers, so dont worry about the revenge wave. Dont use any spell that can aggro the super goblin until you are hitting the castle. Wait until you have all your units, send them all in (dont use phoenix) then when you get to the super goblin use athenas protection. Your mermaids should push him back, use thunderbolt to your advantage because it stuns. Use freeze trap to get rid of the counter waves if you will, use phoenix the same way as always, use hercules' strength when you are hitting the castle and you should win.

For campaign it is goblins, phantom armour, centaur archers, succubus, black riders and magic cannon, and comet shot, phoenix, Hercules' strength and athena's protection (you can use any other spell if you have the points). For Cave of trials, its the same loadout but with rain of arrows/ice trap and heal spell too (for convenience more than anything).

To conclude, eventually once you do the dark blue general you will get an invincibility spell, if you use that and the strength spell from viegraff you can destroy any titan that comes your way. After that you should wait until the strength and invincibility spells are available again and use them when attacking the castle (and also the phoenix spell). They should be maxed of course, and an easy grinding strategy is to do the last level of a campaign, press continue after it takes you back to the menu, save, do the level again and repeat. Each win nets you around 300 - 500 thousand, and its nowhere near as difficult as a cave of trials stage.

the strategy is to use phoenix as soon as you hear the horn that signals the arrival of the first revenge wave, then wait a bit for the phoenix to get to halfway across the map and use the strength spell on all your dudes at the front. The strength also buffs the phoenix, making it deal double the damage and your army should've triggered the second and third revenge waves by that point, so the phoenix obliterates everything and gives you an easy win. This is the basic structure for winning in the cave of trials stages, though you have to retreat/charge to dodge the titan's attacks and in the fourth cave of trials you HAVE to back off as soon as the horn sounds, since each revenge wave is accompanied by a titan. I made the mistake of triggering all three at the same time, and though i won in the end it was much harder than it had any right to be.

Also when playing as viegraff i recommend taking out gald, since his yeti's are lethal in the early stages of the game so you wouldn't really want to face off against them.

By the way, i highly recommend viegraff to be the first hero you play. His phoenix ability is very useful, since you can murder both of the revenge waves in one go. He also gets the succubus, which is also very good against the revenge waves. The dragon riders he gets aren't bad tanks either, so in all he is probably the best starter hero. After that i would play the orange general to get him over with (and for the centaur archers), and then you can play anyone you want really since (at that point) you should have everything you need to blitz past all the stages. Make sure you play as the green hero last, since he has the most mana, which lets you customise your loadout however you want.

Hardest game in this series is probs epic war 2, mostly because it's the only game i haven't completed yet. The level with the end is just so long, and that was on a site where i had hacks (._.).

Ok i change my mind. The dumbest thing in this game is how a succubus or a bomber can run up to your hero and just send him flying spinning up in the sky...

revenge waves are the dumbest thing in the world. whats the point of building up a massive rush just to have it murdered by like 50 enemies instantly? the enemies should have the same system as you. you cant have revenge waves can you?

to ruessir the 5 cave of trial you need lots of little creature that will hit the boss so that he does not have time to hit

At first this game seems absolutely impossible lol, but with the right tactics you can (and probably will) beat the game. Even the cave of trials stages can be beaten pretty easily, despite what the massive rush of monsters and occasional titan seem to suggest. The one problem i have with this franchise is that it hasn't continued lol, though the sixth one was pretty bad from what i remember.

Argh. Good game -- but really, really needs a "low quality" mode, to be kind to laptops and older computers. Lags hard in the bigger battles.
Just got to one battle shy of the first Hard achievement and it crashed -- website reloaded because it's using too much memory. And it lost my saves.

I figured it out - you have to add "cards" before going to fight. But don't waste your time. Levels are Excessively too long, gameplay is asininely slow, there's very little strategy and the enemy castle is ridiculously too strong. The graphics are not good and the upgrades are stupidly expensive. If I could give a negative rating, I would. 1/5

I have no idea what's happening. They have an ever-lasting supply of bad guys. I am limited to the one main character. Most games you send different, weaker units on a time basis. I have no other units to send.

okay THIS IS IMPORTANT ! ! ! ! once you JUST FINISHED A CAMPAIGN make sure you DON'T START A NEW GAME IMMEDIATELY but hit CONTINUE INSTEAD!! this way you get to spend that massive amount of money you made in the campaign's final battle which is ~500.000! hit + to let more people know

i played this like 8 years ago, and its still fun.... who needs Modern big Budget Steam games if you can play this lol

In order to obtain all the cards, you only need to level each hero to 20. Then you save and start another new game plus with the next hero. This saves a lot of time compared to beating the whole campaign with each other, since the last few cities have 3 revenge waves and take much longer to win. Do the green hero last if you want to end on the hero with the most mana. (Start with Viegraff, trevouz, Cald in that order for best units imo)

Can you please make Epic War 3 on iOS? Epic war saga was kind of pay to win and didn't work out that well, but with a game like this it's a lot more fun and for sure going to be played by many. If ya want, you should make it cost money too like 3-5 or idk.

This game is a classic for me. The graphics are great, the numerous strategies are fun to experiment with, the large number of levels allow you to indulge, and above all, the nostalgia is strong. This was one of the first online games I've ever played and it was a heck of a start (the very first games were the Bionicle Marhi and Phantoka campaigns; RIP Bionicle). This game is must play! :{)

why but why do you have to press a button to save your game? I have a button on my mouse that opens the previous google page. I accidentally press that and the game closies, and I lose all my progress.
Why does the game not save automaticly?
