This is, literally - I mean literally; it's voted so time and time again by different companies and polls - THE best online game EVER. Maybe the graphics and sounds aren't too great, but there's a reason: it's a browser game. I would rather have no graphics at all than have to download something. Also, compare it to WoW or any other MMORPG. Most are $15/month and have almost no free trials; this is $6/month, or can be played infinitely without spending a single cent. There are hundreds of millions of accounts on this game, they can't all be wrong. Give it a chance before you downrate it.

I've played runescape for ages, It's really good. But noobs say this game is... Etc. Just cos they find it damn hard. I'd say this is the best multiplayer type of game ive ever played. Rate 5, + if you afree.

I am a game designer and I have been playing this game for nigh 3 years now. I have been with it since Runescape classic. This game was one of the games that gave me inspiration to begin my career in gaming. This game has literally come from nothing to become an extremely entertaining and addictive game. This games has amazing depth and detail. With top notch (and slightly cheesy) humor as well. 5/5
**BTW I have quest point cape and taskmaster emote and all my lvls are above 70.

i love this game. Sure it's not all fancy like WoW or EVE, but the whole concept of how each skill benifits another like with logs from woodcuting can be used to make firses for firemaking or cooking or the logs can be used for fletching to make arrows and bows for ranged. It's what makes this game truly amazing. Because of all of this, i have been playing runescaoe scince pre-school and today I am a successful 8th-grader.

i have a lvl 98, been playing on and off since 2006. I would have to say that most ppl left this game (including me) because they had gotten rid of the PvP factor. BUT! now they are voting to bring it back and chances are looking good, so expect this game to skyrocket even farther once the pvp and wild are back.

free trade - 100 of my rs friends dump there membership the day it happens...and then also well im dumping it to if it happens...and im sure 25000+ more are gonna do the same thing so long about 1000$ to jagex a day...

Biggest problem I have is that f2p gets maybe 1/4 of the actual game. Probably less since I haven't played in so long and they've constantly been updating what members have and rarely what f2p get. Do you know how much you can play in a game w/ a cash shop? Damn near most of it.

@Bronimin Do you not know why they are bringing free trade and old wildy back? Jagex are shutting down all botting sites and all RWT sites

I know that 90% of players voted yes for free trade and old wildy, but atleast 20% of those (at LEAST) will be RWT (real world traders), as this free trade allowes for much easlier transfer of in game money, we will undoubtedly see a rise in popularity, due to the old players, and the RWTers coming back with the 'update'

@Suicider Of course they want you to pay. That's what they do for a living afterall. Also you get a discount if you buy 3-6-12 months of membership. BTW it's more like 10% and 90% IMO.

Most of the wildy&free trade lovers are pkers and RWT players. Both have a high tendency of having multiple accounts. It's really not that hard to increase the count that way.

Even though you guys say runescape is good about 60% is for member and 40% is for F2p they want us to pay them 5.95 pounds a month 5.95 times 12 you do the counting.

I know lots of you don't like that free trade might be coming back but most people are looking forward to it. How do I know? Because there's a poll on the website nearly 90% of people voted for having it back. If you don't want it then go and vote against it, not that it'll make much difference.

I tried RuneScape for weeks. It's a good game if you pick a good server. I always clicked the auto-select feature and it sent me to American servers. It was full of Hitler-fanatics etc which gave the game a bad name because this was everyone, not just a few.

i hate PVP, i cant get membership, I dont like combat.
Yet I still think this game is great, par from perfect, but closer than many games I have so far seen, this game caters to many peoples needs, and meets them sufficiently. If you give RS a chance, immerse yourself in the gameplay and enjoy yourself, you may well have found yourself hooked on it. Don't complain about the graphics, if runescape had better graphics, it would either require download, or take a much longer time to load, and take up a ton of bandwidth., and you will likely complain about that. If you dont like it, play something else, no one is forcing you to play, or leave hateful comments, so please don't. don't hate on runescape for being runescape.

Free Trade is most likely coming back, but with the old wilderness, meaning free PvP out there, my mining spots comprimised and several money making methods obsolete.
I am not looking forward to the free trade 'update'

This isn't such a bad game. For people that have never played this game; You should try it. It doesn't have much limitations, so you will have more fun besides just fighting monsters.

Oh yeah, runescape. I remember it, it sucks. Lemme just go look at it to make fun of it- HOLY CRAP what happened, this game is fun now? How?
