Should be: wine, water, wine absinthe and absinthe in small glass.

*Opens door* Gaugin: Man, you are missing an ear....
Van Gogh: How about a hat and you do like you've seen nothing?
Gaugin: A HAT?!?!?!?! :D

Did anyone else spend a significant amount of time trying to see if anything would interact with the questions mark in the upper left corner of the second part of the ear canal?

Heres a theory of why the Cube Escape series are so... strange.
The protagonist of the cube escape is insane or having a mental breakdown. As the protagonist went insane or having a mental breakdown, he starts experiencing strange hallunciations. These hallunciations make up the place where the protagonist is distort, making the place the location we see in Cube Escape.

If you find the game to be unplayably laggy, you need to turn the quality down in the setting menu, then it merely becomes annoying laggy, but playable.

OK, so I cheated. I looked for spoilers in the comments, and found "Use the gun..." What gun? I looked everywhere for the dammit gun and couldn't find it. Finally I cheated even more by looking at the walkthrough and saw that the gun was lying in plain sight. Don't hurry too fast through the guy's ear.

I always play these because I love point and click and I've didn't really "get" these games. But this one... I love it. The actual painting won me over. That was outside the box.

only one part was hard to figure what to do and that was what to do with the palette... was trying to use the drinks as colors for most the game :P
