only one part was hard to figure what to do and that was what to do with the palette... was trying to use the drinks as colors for most the game :P

Stupid game. On many occasions I had no idea what needs to be done. I had to progress by trial and error - trying out random items until something clicks in with the game's stupid logic.

If anyone is curious, the room is an interpolation of the Van Gogh painting "The Bedroom At Arles" and his friend Paul is Paul Gauguin, another Post-Impressionist painter.

good game; still don't get the order you fill the vials? yeah they are in the picture seems you just randomly fill them in... that's what the walkthrough does...

I think you should consider improving the colour fill-in part. I had to paint the ql section 5 times, before the colour was finally recognized as the correct one. Other than that, great game :)

Flower Pot isn't a puzzle you can just click it randomly 3 times once you have the flower for the pot next to it. What threw me off was the arrow pointing upwards.

This game was better than "The Lake" in that it was more in depth. I'm disappointed that it still does not compare to the original game in story, concept, and abstract ideals. It was still good in it's own ways however.

Correction to spoiler walkthrough part 3: The order of the liquids in the glasses is "wine, water, WINE", not "wine, water, water". The far right glass and the normal glass in front are still both absinthe.

Spoiler walkthrough (part 4) : Click on the metal door on the right and change the numbers to read 1 4 5 8. Back out and click on the door again to see the same room you were originally in, but the lights are flickering. Enter the room and click on the mirror, use the gun on the dark figure in the mirror and collect the white cube. Use the black and white cubes on the main door and open it to finish the game.

Spoiler walkthrough (part 3) : The sky is the light blue (color of the walls) on the middle-left of the palette, the circle (sun) is yellow, the moon is blue (top-left of palette), and the question mark hexagon is black. When everything is colored in, click on the paper hanging on the top-right of the picture and you'll receive a black cube. Click on the mirror next to the desk and select the knife, click on the mirror and you'll receive an ear. On the desk with the different glasses, fill them in this order (from left to right, starting in the back): wine, water, water, absinthe, (small glass in front) absinthe. The water in the bowl light up, from here you will place the ear in the bowl. Click on the ear, click on the yellow spots in the ears until you see a tunnel, click the tunnel and collect the gun that is laying on the ground in front of the second tunnel, then continue clicking the tunnel and yellow spots until you reach two doors and various items.

Spoiler walkthrough (part 2): Place the sunflower received from the painting into the vase next to the sunflower plant. Click the sunflowers in the this order (bottom left, middle right, top left), the sunflower in the vase will produce a key. Use the small key to open the right cabinet door and grab the knife. Use the golden key from the earlier painting and open the door, give the man the hat and he'll drop the palette. Place the palette on the bottom-left picture frame above the bed. The symbols on the picture refer to colors seen around the room that you need to paint in. The colors are as follows: The very bottom of the picture is the teal (blue-green) color on the middle right of the palette. The second line in the picture above that is the dark green color at the very bottom on the palette. The area just below the rocky mountain lines is white.

Spoiler walkthrough (part 1):
Find various picture pieces and items laying around the room (look behind picture frames, under pillows, in drawers, etc.). On the coat rack, click the middle coat a few times and you'll see a key fall, back out and pick it up. Open the left cabinet door with this. Use the spoon and place it on the glass that sits on the blue table, place a sugar cube on top, select the bottle of absinthe and continue clicking on the glass until a painting piece emerges. You should have all of the painting pieces to finish the paintings on the walls, put them all in place and click on the pictures several times until a key emerges from the left picture and a sunflower emerges from the right.

There are too many items need to be collected and they will stack downwards... you have to click the arrow buttons everytime you need to find them in your inventory. Hope you can make it that we can relocate the items into the empty space.

Wow, one of the deeper games I've ever played.. I literally had chills running down my spine when he killed himself. Amazing storyline if you know Van Goghs life. rated 5/5

i experienced a glitch where a painting piece that i had already collected and tried to drag onto the frame somehow ended up stuck below the other painting, and i could not move it. ended up having to restart my game :/

Van Gouh didn't cut off his own ear his friend paul did, during a friendly sword fight. Other than the historical inaccuracy this game is odd but quite fun.
