Overall, I liked it. Sliding puzzles, however...I've hated them forever, and you know it's not a good thing when the walkthrough guy looks confused trying to solve it.

This slider puzzle is nothing compared to the one in Lufia 2. As for the last chapter, I wish it wouldn't be real time but action based. Removing all the planks quickly enough can be a pain. Regardless, loved playing through this for the third time to get the badge.

Seeing all these negative comments, I feel compelled to say that I found this one particularly efficient and well timed. A good scare!

Solution to sliding puzzle: If the tiles in the top row are numbered 1 2 3, middle 4 5 6, and bottom 7 8 9, click the tiles in this order: 3654 7852 1478 9652 3658 9632 5412. (Divided into groups of 4 just to make it easier to read.)

It would be nice if the timer didn't count down when it's lagging.... Staring at an hourglass symbol and dying over and over on the last level kind of sucks.

As always excellent cube escape game! Keep up the great, if disturbing, works! You somehow make it feasible for sane people to deduce insane puzzles.

OK i had fate on the paper and accidently said i don't know for the "word"... It made a weird noise. I'm guessing something scarier happens with the dead girl. Anyone want to check for me?

Having to do the slider twice because I completed the game before the badge was added is basically the worst thing ever.
Sorry! I actually talked to the developer about making this badge retroactive, since that's definitely my preference whenever possible, but unfortunately this game doesn't have any kind of internal save system between completing it and starting over, so it wasn't technically possible to have the badge award retroactively.

Luckily for me, I chickened out when this first came out, so all I had to do was the final piece for the badge. That tile puzzle is evil!

So I just watched the walkthrough of this, since I'm a wimp and don't really like being surprised (I made an exception for the other cube escape games, but this one's atmosphere has a little more horror than I can stand), but if you just input the code without going through all the steps, is there any difference? Like, a sudden jump scare or something as punishment? I tried it out, but I'm a little too worried to continue

Completion badge is live! Hard one this time, since this chapter is definitely more difficult than the others. If you already completed the game, you'll need to complete it again to earn the badge. Sorry! But at least this will give you a chance to play the tile sliding puzzle again!

Not trial and error. It's by color and shape. Start with the green one in the middle, then click the green and tan. The next color is always on the previous book. Also the shapes tell you which book to click next. If the previous one had a square on it and the next color is brown, then you next book will have brown and a square...

Good game, but there just isn't enough time in Chapter four to do it without it being needlessly frustrating and not fun.

bookcase was actually pretty easy for me, but different perspectives I guess. You just have to click the books that have either the same colour or symbol as the one before it, finishing with the black book. (there's still a right order to them)

Your games are so fantastic. They just draw you in and engage you. Nevermind that a few of the puzzles are farfetched or unfair. It's simply enthralling and slightly terrifying. You convey mood in your art style and thematic choices better than most. Kudos on another fine chapter.

Okay seriously, how are you suppose to solve the bookcase puzzle? I tried almost everything I could think of to try and solve it without cheating, eventually I did go to the walk through but I want to know how you actually know how to solve it? It cant be just trial-and-error

SPOILERS!
Wait but i thought she made it out alive when she changed her past (or if she denied the shadow man in the first place with the green gem but that is just a technicality haha) OR when the phone zapped the mirror hitting the shadow man, was that suppose to kill her?

This is the first time a Rusty Lake game has genuinely terrified me. Have they always been creepy? Yes. Have they been freaky? Oh HECK yes. But I wouldn't really call them terrifying...until the final episode of this game. There was a hint to the contrary in Episode 2, but up to that point, the shadow people had pretty much acted just as apparitions, fading in and out, leaving the player unsure of how much they are real and how much they're a product of the character's mind. But in the final episode, not only do multiple shadows surround you, but for the first time ever, THEY'RE ACTIVELY BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF YOU. Well done, I actually had trouble sleeping last night after seeing that.
