To those displeased about the fetus in the toilet being a little too grim. While it is disturbing, I believe it follows the theme of artists. While less obvious than the Van Gogh references, I believe there are references to Frida Kahlo. If you look at her painting 'Henry Ford Hospital' (http://f.tqn.com/y/arthistory/1/S/Q/1/1/Frida-Kahlo-Henry-Ford-Hospital-1932.jpg) you will see some familiar objects! The shell, the fetus, and the flower you get once you finish balancing things in the game. Hope this helps

If you're stuck on the windmill, just look at what information in the room you haven't used yet, it's pretty straightforward. If you're still stuck, there's always the walkthrough...

Am I the only one who has performance problems? There is the old-timey movie reel effect for a few seconds at the beginning, and then it disappears and afterwards my CPU usage gets permanently stuck at 100% and each click take about two seconds to register.

With this game's release, I finally feel like I understand what's going on in this plot. The lake seems to be some sort of in-between place. The woman in the first few games died, and was taken to the lake, where Mr. Crow processed her. Her good memories were made into white cubes, bad ones into black. Then she got the chance to fix her bad memories and make turn them into good ones. Same thing happened to Mr. Detective. But there are shadows in the inbetween place that are unhappy ghosts, and they'll kill anyone they come into contact with, possibly to try to steal life from them, or just for revenge. I think most people start as shadows, and return to themselves after successfully changing their old memories.

Thank you, Rusty lake, for breathing new life into the "point and click" genre! I love the narrative, the visual style, the puzzles... All of it! And I'm super excited about the way you're linking things (say, a secret code, for instance) across games and even breaching the bounds of the game world (I hope to be among the 100!). I can't wait to see what you'll do next!

My only complaint is that you have no idea you're supposed to drag stuff in this game... at least at first, for the slider puzzle. Later in the game you're on to the idea that its required so its less of a stretch. Otherwise its the lovely weird, creepy stuff I've come to associate with this series. :P

I know Cube games are always dark but I thought what was in the toilet was a bit much. Not sure it was intentional or not but considering there are people who DO have to see that, and it doesn't seem to have served any specific plot point, it could have been pretty much anything else

First time I was able to play most of it without using the walkthrough. Perhaps I'm just getting more comfortable with the oddness of these puzzles. But I thoroughly enjoyed it! :)
