Description
Rhythm Blade is an arena-based brawler. Your characters get assaulted from multiple angles by bad guys, and your job is to take them out before they'd do the same to you. You may be greatly outnumbered, BUT you have one important asset on your side: The soundtrack! By listening to the music playing and timing your attacks to the beat of the song, you will unleash powerful attacks to overcome your foes. Different attacks are tied to different notes, so timing and positioning plays an important role.
This is an early prototype, and the game is still pretty much in development. I'm releasing this early to receive early feedback from you, the players.
NOTE: All in-game assets are temporary. I do not intend this game to be a game about a ninja battling other ninja's.

How to Play
Arrows / WASD to move
Aim with the mouse and left-click to attack
Time your attacks to the colors that appear in the timeline to unleash special attacks.
A Green note is the most standard special attack. You'll instantly move to your target and kill him.
A Purple note is similar to green, except that you inflict more attacks on a single target.
A Blue note has you killing everyone in front of you with a single attack.
A Yellow note is a tornado attack. Hold down the left mouse button when you start this attack and move around to kill everyone near you.
Developer Updates
(04/01/11) Added suport for the Kongregate API. Your high scores are now stored. Letโs see how many points you can score.
(29/12/10) Made a few changes in response to feedbackโฆ
#1. You now have to actually click close to an enemy to attack them when you can do a special attack. If youโre within range, the enemy will be highlighted.
#2. Rudimentary implementation of the enemy AI. They will now attack, and youโll lose points if they hit.
#3. Score shown at the top. For a next update, I hope to add the kongregate API to keep track of everyoneโs high scores. Iโm curious about the results.

OK it's still a prototype, but I'm still going to comment some bad things about it. 1. No score counter? Why am I with killing ninja's on the beat if I don't get to see my score? 2. They don't attack me, so why would I kill them? 3. Seems much too easy, didn't have to use the arrow keys a single time to kill them all. 4. You can just keep on bashing left click, you don't have to click on the beat to kill them, then why is there a beat? I don't like the music anyway, so I'd rather have my own music while playing such a worthless game.
2/5 for the effort. Hope you'll keep on developing this game and at least get a V1.0
