Excellent ! Thanks for your efforts. Some cavils: 1) it is really too easy 2) infinite blue "chickens" is a perfect freebie to level up (just put a soldier with the assault rifle near respawn) 3) in defense mode soldiers can attack infinite times, maybe reduce it to the remaining APs ? otherwise one soldier with the assault rifle can kill infinite number of "chickens", so say good bye to the complexity of the last level =) But anyway: it's awesome game.

Feels like Incubation... Would like to see Fog-of-War/Line of sight enemy to make the game more challenging (with moving sounds as hint and an added suspense!) More enemy types especially ones that can stealth to make the defensive stance even more useful, More skill range so you couldn't max out character and have to make a decision which member of your squad should be specialized as tank/marksman/fast attacker. The option to speed up animation and badge would be wonderful :). Otherwise very nice game and terrific effort!

I was just thinking about Incubation a few days ago for the first time in like 10 years, though for the life of me I couldn't remember the name of it. Amazing to see a tribute game posted here, and so well done!

This is a phenomenal game, but the barrels appear to not work, and there's a mission where you need to have 400 credits for the grenade launcher or else you have to use barrels for the mission, so... well, I had 300 credits, and I'm quitting the game on that mission because that's dumb.

If you want a challenge, try playing without assigning a single skill point. Turns the difficulty from the default easy into hard/expert, much more in line with original Incubation :) You can complete a level with marines down, they will revive in the next level. And remember: bayonets are your friend!

Also, the game doesn't need more ammo or a way to redo levels or buy your way through them. The economy of actions is what this game is all about. The ammunition is just right to make you think.

Giving 2 skill points per level rather than 3 would balance the easiness issue. There's no need for the team to be maxed in everything at the end of the game. Force a little specialization. Could explain medipack and accuracy a little better somewhere.

yep, the game is great fun. good graphics, brilliant RPG elements, very well balanced. if there is anything to critique, it would be to be able to give ammo and health to other team members

1 reason to you like 3D games and one to you dont like.
1 . If all games as 3D , it as to be very cool and u maybe never going to play more Xbox 360 and etc
2 . If all games as 3D , it as to cause a super lag

I've not heard of Incubation before but this game reminds me of Space Hulk. After looking up Incubation, I would say the two are very similar and I found this game to be quite enjoyable

good tactics game, really wish there was a speedup button.
Also if there were stronger monsters that spawned from the sewer drains (something with at least 4 hp so you can't camp a bayonet beside it and kill all spawns before your turn)

Great game.
Wish list: Cancel Orders button (without this the no auto-end option seems pointless) ; ability to select/look at unit stats that have received orders; undo move for touchpad people ; speed up enemy turn ; zoom in/zoom out ; bigger font or more eye-friendly stats ; more description of stats/abilities (i.e. medkits) ; hotkeys for: end turn, select unit, rotate map, defend, next unit, prev unit; increased difficulty or reward for finishing under a certain # of moves; and finally a sequel because this game ends on a wimper. "A lot of creatures? Cool! Wait... I only see one. Must be the next level. Oh, it's over."

Okay back after finishing the game and the difficulty ramp is a problem. The thing is most enemies don't test your statistics (the first two varieties are the only ones that do) so it just gets ridiculous when your stats keep improving and are only relevant for enemies you could kill (with difficulty I'll admit) at level 1.

Excellent! Different enemies which need different strategies to kill them. Different weapons that make you think if you HAVE to upgrade them all. Great balance in gameplay (although maybe a bit too easy)
Things i missed:
- Skip enemy move (especially last level)
- Show AP cost for in game actions (when hovering with mouse) for attack, defend, door open/close and stimgun/medipack so i can better plan ahead.
- Better visual difference between ammo and credit crates (may be my monitor though)
- View mission objectives while in game
That said: PLEASE make more games like these. I love the engine, gameplay and atmosphere!

There needs to be a way to get money more easily. In the level where you have to kill the big guys with grenade launcher, I have 350 and I need 400. Since there is no way to get that money so there is no way for me to be able to buy the grenade launcher. 4/5 :P

It's lacking variety. The enemy types are ok, but it would be nice to have a few extra types, such as quick ones, flying ones and more ranged foes. There's definitely a need for a few extra guns, to make the player actually have to choose rather than just going with assault rifles, nade launcher and maybe a sniper. Guns like suppressive machine guns, flamethrowers and a few other versions of the standard rifle would be much appreciated. Aside from this the game is great, just needs more work.

all it needs is a world map, research, aircraft, intercept and terror missions, and you can name this x-com 4 and charge people $50 for it

Darn, I was hoping that eliminated all enemies (and spawns) on the last level in under 20 turns would yield something different. Instead I just had to hit the end turn button two more times. Still, it was fun to do that as a personal challenge.

Great game concept and game-play, with superb graphics! Reminds me of Laser Squad Nemesis. No doubt other comments have covered this but improvements could be:
1) a level select function once you have completed a level
2) user generated levels
3) multiplayer (co-op and vs).

This is a fun enjoyable game. Great game with Great graphics. But the xeno's need a higher max level. Needs a save game button. Make a Xeno squad 2 with more levels, a story line enemy's and wepons. 4/5

The quality is unbelieveable, the consept is unique and the gameplay is neat, but... Oh, idk. Somehow I don't seem to enjoy it. Not gonna rate it down, ain't got no reason to do that. I'm just saying.
