In the sequel it would be good to have a full map editor, with skirmish. So we can set our own rules, from firefight with waves of tons of monsters to a nice neverse, assault on enemy base.

Really good game. But it is too easy and character development is too limited. When I started level 10, I had 8 lvl squad with 2 snipers, 2 bayonet and heavy marine with granades. No more leveling, new weapons etc. I have no motivation to continue playing...

The game might be slow, but for some reason i just cant get past Level 3 (or Level 2 if you dont count the tutorial). Those damn enemies keep on up on me, i dont have many hit points and the damn weapons keep on jamming up! Plus, upgrading those stats doesnt seem to help me either.

Defensive seems a little overpowered... once you upgrade all your dudes heat tolerance and ammo a bit (or get bayonets), they can just butcher all day.

Awesome game and graphics! Well-done! The only thing i kinda dislike is the lack of things to buy. I can live without but maybe they can be added into a sequal perhaps? =P

Am I missing something, or is there really no way to see the distance an enemy can travel and the range of it's attack? That kind of info would really help, instead of having to replay a level once or twice just to figure it out. I wouldn't mind, but the game goes SO SLOW.

Surprisingly cool little game, but it could really use some difficulty. Especially the last level is ridiculously easy, perhaps the easiest level in the game.

So I guess it is possible, but I had to sacrafice guys to stand right next to the explosives a lot of times. For some reason the AIs keep just wandering off, even with a semi-near enemy in plain sight when my guys are just out of reach of being killed. (In other words either I have to kill one of my own guys for no real reason, or allow the enemy to wander away from where I need them)

It says you can use the barrels to kill the final boss. Problem is the AI is crap (unfairly smart) and the monsters walk AWAY from the barrels, even when I'm trying to be close to the barrel and commit suicide to take them out. The game was kind of neat, but this was REAAALY frustrating, especially since I was ONE LEVEL away from a medal. I'm not playing again, please fix to the game is actually POSSIBLE to win w/o the grenade launcher since the game says it is .

I love the fact that the last level says to survive 20 turns, while i killed everything on the map and closed all the sewers but 2, without taking a single hit of damage to anyone :p Great game though!

Nasty little surprise: for level 10 you need $400 to buy that weapon without which you cannot win the game. So if you, like me, don't have that $400, you have to start all over again as there is no level select.
The first 9 levels were fun though.

an absolutely fantastic game.
Could we NOT have the spinning during the mission briefing? I know you want to point out where stuff is but the spinning makes me nauseated. 5/5

Oh, you might put some sort of way to speed up the AI movement. Sometimes waiting for all the little things to move got tedious.

game mechanics and graphics excellent, but far far too easy. The characters level up powerfully but are still largely fighting the same creatures as on level 1, and you can stand a guy by each grate and he will automatically take down anything that comes through it. Game balance therefore needs a big overhaul. More creature variety would also enhance gameplay.

hit that x-com fix I've been yearning for, at least for a little while. This has a ton of promise. I'd love to see the complexity bumped up just a bit, as well as the difficulty, as I breezed through it no problem (once again, x-com fanatic). Great job, can't wait to see the sequel.

Have some way of viewing the mission objective during the mission. I have no clue what to do on this level but I don't want to start again

Love it! I played incubation back in the day and this may even become better if it wasnt so easy. Awesome game! Want more...

I won't play this game until you can Fast Forward through enemy turns. I'm only at level 4 and the enemy turns take too long for the game to be fun.

i apoligize for one thing i said i did not know that other people joined your team later in the game im still on number3

Excellent game! maybe need a few things like a undo button for the movements, but still great game. 5/5
I'll be waiting the sequel =3

Seeing some of the comments, it surprises me how much difficulty some people have had with this game. I found the strategy pretty simple, personally. For the first couple of missions, play as defensively as possible, moving up two spaces then stopping in defensive stance pretty much permanently, grabbing ammo whenever someone hits zero. On the mission where Daedalus joins your group, push him up against the wall and have him maintain defensive stance, push the barrel across the gap on the far right, and use the same tactic as before. Then start kitting everyone out with bayonets, and have them camp the spawns in defensive position. Once Magnus joins your team, max out his AP as quickly as possible, and just use him to destroy spawns and invulnerable monsters, while everyone else maintains the same strategy. Hope this helps people who are having difficulty.

At first I thought it was just another turn-based game, then I saw it was 3D and thought it was made with Unity. But then it wasn't. What?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd like a hard version of this added. Game gets easy once you understand patience is key. The hard badge is more of a Medium badge. Anyone else feel that way?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's a very good game but at times it feels less like a strategy and more like a test to see if you will wait through animations and slow turns when you know the solution.

Indeed I have Incubus yet... even in its original box. And yes, I can say this 3D flash game is a superb adaptation of Incubus. Rated 4/5, but it could be 5/5 if you review these details: 1) I miss harder enemies. Do you remember... i.e. what about that giant boss with its tentacles? 2) I miss longer battles, with longer shootouts. 3) I miss rotate the soldier. In Incubus, suffering an attack from behind is lethal, so it is important to rotate properly the soldier at the end of their movement. That gives more tactical depth. 4) I miss weapons with 2 shooting modes. 5) Why I can not see the statistics of a soldier without AP? 6) Why do I have to pay again every time I choose a weapon previously paid? (this is minor problem because the game is full of credits). 7) Too easy to gain experience (all my soldiers reached level 8 during 8th mission. 8) I miss some other small details, but so far would be sufficient to achieve 5 stars. I must congratulate you, but there is still work to do.

I think they should make a game like this but in a command style where its 3 person control units RTS make buildings for units, getting all the hero characters with special abilities like demolition, sniper, scout, maybe some air or naval command with some of your own artillery.

very good love the animations of turns and idle animations one of the best games on kong.
Plus this if you want MORE WEAPONS ARMOR CLASSES ETC.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, i can't understand why it's so easy. No challenge at all, the later missions become totally monotonous...
But the concept itself is enjoyable, the game might be much more fun if the process was more challenging...

Great game, love every aspect of it, but i think the level cap should be higher as well as maybe special upgrades if that character uses a certain type of gun. perhaps a story if you have time :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
3/5 This game could been longer with a variety of weapons, enemies, armor, and letting you choose your mission. I'd love to have a light armor troop that's fast on his feet with a sniper rifle, and a heavy troop that has a good close range weapon. Also, it could allow sidearms such as a pistol or knife when you run out of main gun bullets. Sequel anyone?
