This game is so fun and creative. You have to be smart to win this. All the new parts I've never seen in a platform game before makes it innovative. Finally a good non-idle game in the hot new games section of kongregate. Great job!

Your Jump needs to be adjusted the amount of time to Hold for highest jump is to short. Making it way hard to do a SMALL jump
It's impossible to dodge them all, their main purpose is to serve as guidelines, but if you don't get enough coins for the pizza... well, you get the bad ending

I was on 29 minutes with probably a good 10 of those being on the last level, I'm happy to know all the effort of collecting every coin until the last level wasn't in vain. good game did enjoy just got really srustrated in my quest to collect every coin and didnt manage it but oh well

I had like 80 cents more than he wanted. Do you uh, do you get anything for collecting all coins? I kinda gave up on some of the coins in last level.
No don't sweat it for taking all the coins! there are only 2 endings right now. But probably in the future there will be an adequate reward for those who take them all (even tho this shouldn't be that hard to achieve)

Horribly hard for a casual player... repeating a level 80 times because of a precisely needed jump while using non-precise controls makes this game very frustrating. It had great potential, and i typically love games like this... but i have to give 1 star due to the difficulty straight out of the gate.
Thanks for your feedback, appreciate when people describes what exactly frustrates them.
I'm sorry, but have you tried different configurations?
Controls should be as precise as possible, they get computed at 60 frames per seconds... I couldn't do better than that :(

Very nice game with solid mechanics and balanced levels. I also really liked the humor in this one. I'll probably come back soon enough to chop some minutes off of my completion time :)

Last level, on the second conveyor belt, if you don't jump, I think, you go through the blocks. Then the ghost girl has a special dialogue for it?

Is this game supposed to be considered hard? Last level was a bit tricky but most levels was quite simple. I enjoyed it.
There seemed to be issues with either memory leaks or game is just very heavy, because it eventually started go very slow.
If I made the main mode harder, some people would literally want to kill me. I've reworked the levels a bunch of times and still lot of people perceive it as hard...
About the game being very slow, this hurts me right in my heart. I've coded this game from scratches, optimized it to the ground and made all the assets in pixel art so that it could be as light as possible and run 60 FPS.
Can you tell me via PM or by editing the comment, if you're playing on a laptop and if it was disconnected from the charger? battery mode kills the performance in my case, while when it's charging I can run multiple instance of my game at the same time, without the slighest effort from the CPU.
Please, I'd be glad to solve this issue and I want to know more about what causes it, anyway thanks for your report :)

Okay 196 deaths later i managed to get my pizza. Conclussion: Some check points would really, really have been appreciated. And the amount of times i died just because i pressed the dash button approximatly 1ms to early or too late was probably responsible for about half of those deaths...
Could it be that you were playing on a laptop and it was on battery saving mode? I've experienced that too, just today, the fps floats randomly when my laptop charger is disconnected.
I'm trying to work on a solution to make the game speed independent from the framerate, sorry about that :/

You know how to pierce my very core with fear. It's not from spikes, falling, or even never being able to get pizza again. It's being followed around by a teenage girl who laughs at me and makes sarcastic comments. *shudders*

Very, very similar to Celeste (in a good way) with the boost, mid-air boost recovery, bouncy things (that restore boost). At times it felt a bit "fast", mostly just the conveyors, their inertia and your movement on them. Great humour, story fit its length (had one, but not a lot of time to develop it or the characters).
Let's see, maybe I will make it unlockable...
For anyone reading this, the TAB mode doesn't have the pizza guy sprites if you reach the end swap back to the normal mode! Will include that sprite shortly

Like it but needs check points in the more difficult rooms. Repeating the entire room becomes too frustrating unfortunately.

Why do you die when you touch the non-sharp side of spikes? If the spikes face upwards and I touch them on the left that's not actually lethal you're just making cheap deaths.
I'm sorry, I never meant to trick anyone into dying, I would like people to be able to tell "yeah that was my fault" (except for the first ghost-related death). I've already reworked the spikes hitboxes a couple times... by non-lethal you mean the stone part of the spikes? because I thought I fixed that last patch. Or the light grey parts? if so, I will rework the spikes sprites to be a bunch of Katanas, so that people will know that it will hurt you from the sides too

It was fun and short enough that it wasn't awful 4/5 but in the future please make the text things less annoying (yes we all get the bird person joke. . . but don't make me fall off the slime) and maybe allow for slightly more error. Most of my deaths involved him bumping his head off the roof mid dash
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i smell celeste here :) anyhow nice i like it, it just that the hit box need to be polish alittle bit, i hit the upper wall at the last level many time when dashing. very sure i didn't hit it, 2nd so anoying that i die 2 time when i already got perfect score when floating thing star to talk and i need to finish the game with 2c missed :(
Yeah I loved celeste so much! and I admire its artist a lot, he inspired me to get into pixel art with his awesome tutorials :)
I'll polish the hitboxes even more then! If you want a perfect run in terms of time and deaths you need to disable dialogues. I wanted to tell people that dying was fine in this game, by killing them first spike level. Apperently I just got everyone pissed hahah
Thanks for reporting this issue!
I'd suggest you to try on another browser, but I may have and idea on how to solve it regardless. please look forward for the next updates :)
I would have liked to hear what you didn't like, I'm willing to constantly improve my game to make sure people (yourself included) can get the best experience possible out of it, remember that I'm working for free, fueled by my passion for making games. Just saying

Fun and short. I managed to get $9.40 trying to get all the coins, then did another run to see how few Ic ould get and managed $5.85. My... Pizza...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love it! Challenging, but levels are just short enough to not be frustrating and the dialogue is a cute touch. I also like how the placement of the coins makes it so you don't have to go out of your way to collect enough for the pizza.
Thanks a lot :D
Yeah, actually it's very rare to get the bad ending. Everyone is just obsessed with coins!
And frustration varies a lot among the players apparently...

Tested and confirmed. The first time I tried with cpukiller, I beat the last level, which had taken at least ten minutes of trying.
Thanks for your testing!
The game runs 60 fps, and I want those or nothing.
I've optimized it a lot to be sure that it goes smooth on any device (i'm developing this game on a crappy pc myself, and I made sure it could run even on my old smartphone).
You can check the FPS by pressing F1. Also people would notice if it goes slower because if it really does there would be major differences in the game speed by entering bigger maps, but as expected I had no reports of that happening.
Can this at least be appreciated? I mean, try launching any game with cpukiller... or search for other browser games running at this framerate.
Sorry if I sound arrogant, but I did put lot of effort by coding this game from scratch (no engines) so that it wouldn't be just another bloated software. In the future I could implement the delta time to make sure it runs at the same speed despite different framerates, but that's lot of work so be patient please :c
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Actually, that could be the solution to why reviews on difficulty vary. If the game is running slower due to lag, it would be much, much, MUCH easier.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I feel like it's not that tricky, it just runs far too quickly for the level of precision maneuvering that the game requires.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It seems fun and well-build, but if the precision required for moving around were as high in real life, the human race would have long since gone extinct. :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Got some kind of glitch that maybe inverted the colors or something? I mean, most things were orange and some things like bricks and overlord were like blue-green. Also, I thought it was plenty difficult but I've never really been one to enjoy difficult platformers.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pretty fun game. could use a bit of polish with the dialogue death bug but besides that it handled nicely. I noticed you could skip the intentional dialogue death with a dash, so i was wondering if there was a reward for a no death run? I'm looking forward to see what that "extra" button does too. Keep up the good work =)
Thanks! yeah you could skip the first death by dashing, but if you really care about not dying, and if you don't care about dialogues you can disable them entirely :)
I'm working on new levels/gamemodes. But I'm delaying because of bugfixes. People keep finding bugs, or browser compatibility issues. Glad you enjoyed, be patient please
I will add extra levels, you were already good at platformers right? Some people took 2 hours and more than 500 deaths just for those 14 levels. Balancing is not a joke... and BTW I'm not in charge of the tags, other players decided this was challenging.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just completed the game, it wasn't *that* hard, because I am used to those types of platformers. But it was enjoyable
