Ok, killed the orc and reached rank 13, I hoped that the pace would increase and maybe I could get some fun abilities or something to play, but nope: same boring little task with zero story progression. At this point I think I gave a fair try to the game and can honestly advice people not to waste any more time with it.

@onlythefakest Only thing I've seen Luck do so far is a multiplier to Dark Ritual effectiveness and the achievements from x number of max luck minions.
@killcon456 My Norn was able to easily 1-shot wolves, just set her to using Slash and have her in front line, not sure if devil familiar helps but I had it on.
@Catrys I used Devil Familiar and, Tackle for Fairy, Slash on my MC, default moves on my other pets with this line-up 1. Goblin 2. Snake 3. Flower Fairy 4. You(Or me, whatever) 5. Wolf. Though all my pets were max level and seed stats, it only took like 20 hours of leaving it idle to gather all the needed research and seeds(with auto-summon and auto-level on).

@mutevampire I've done tests, if the snake isn't set to tackle 2 of my allies die while chargeing attacks. with tackle 1 does. what saves me about 20 damage, not "hundreds." And as I've already said, my allies ARE ordered from lowest to highest, but just for kicks, I reveresed it, and only lost about 40 damage, because the difference in damage from my worst ally to best isn't that big, but I don't know why you think it makes a difference in the orc fight, most of my allies only get one hit off before he kills them. And as for my familiar, it is set to only demon, with out it I lose about 100 damage. And setting up for more stamina woun't do anything, I don't get enough attacks off to run out of it. I've looked at every sugestion you have given and I'm still only doing 400 dmg over the course of the whole fight. The only way I have to up my damage is familiar levels and ritual levels, both of which are going to take days to increase, and longer to *triple* my damage.

I finished all the tea party people quest, but i can't make an anchovy sandwich, because the farm work mission is gone!

What are the benefits and downsides to the three schools? There's nothing listed but the name and the fact that entering one locks you out of the other two.
From guesswork, I'd say Warrior boosts physical stats and gives skills that consume stamina, Sorcerer should boost magic stats and give skills that consume mp and the element resources, then Tamer should...boost the pets? Does it raise the number of party members you can bring to battle, their stats, level caps?

I want to save some inspiration to get the book of magic right away when taking rank 10, so I think I'll kill this pumped-up Orc by November... (so far, I have only started the 4th day of the game, but judging by the increase in the duration of pumping the familiar and ranks...)
Nize contend (NOPE) .

Why on earth would talent not be cumulative? Or at least have a warning prompt that you're about to lose massive plies of it if you ritual? You've got little enough descriptions as to what's going on as is, no need to make it easy to hose things.

Killed Orc at Sacred Ritual 8, Lesser Devil 8.
Party Order: Goblin, Snake, Flower Fairy, You, Wolf.
All maxed. Flower Fairy lvl 73 (I don't think this matters)
Snake and Flower Fairy skill set to Tackle.
Durable Leather 10 (I also don't think this matters)

I Finally killed the orc, enrolled in swordsman school, and started my journey towards the big city. Now there seems to be a tea party back in the village, and I need to get my hands on an anchovy sandwich, but the ability to do farm work in exchange for anchovy sandwiches seems to have vanished into thin air.

@Catrys - Flower Fairy is a rare spawn at Waterfall. Kinda weak, but it works. Check that you have Tackle set as Snake's skill. The default attack he uses is a little too fast, leading to a lot of wasted time as the Orc kills units that are charging attacks, causing hundreds of lost damage in that fight. Check your Familiar, that much difference doesn't sound wrong for forgetting to set it up. As for making a mistake in order not changing things, it changes EVERYTHING. Set it up with your heaviest attackers at the top, and you'll get a strong alpha strike with no follow-through, as your DPS drops with every death. Set it up with your strongest attackers at the bottom, and your DPS goes up after each Orc attack, while still doing a fair bit of damage between each. You're on pace if it's Orc at sub-300 health vs solo wolf after you die. I don't know what else might help, if you're still having trouble, maybe set your Habit towards regenerating stamina so you can go ham with Stab?

The game seems to open up after you get past the orc hurdle and your first Dark Ritual, I don't mind the pace. I think the biggest issue is the lack of explanations for things. Talent and Ritual can be confusing, and if you Dark Ritual too soon you could really slow down your progress.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's really messed up that you don't give a warning that talent is not accumulative when you do the dark ritual, so now I'm back at 26 talent because I thought it would stack with my 75 talent.

Some very weird design choices. Minor upgrades like pouch expansions are very expensive, grinding materials is slow and boring, losing out resources when your max storage decreases when you have to solo party for Dad fights, etc. Fun concept, but needs some work.

@khasper, In the main menu on the left, there is a button for "Routine," click that, then just to the right of the main menu will be a new sub-menu for Routine. The second option on the routine sub menu is "Energy." Asign some Habit to "Stamina Cap Extention" for max stamina. But you'll also want the regen stat just below that, and the "Energy recovery" option there gives current stamina to get the ball rolling.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What's the prerequisite for unlocking stamina? I unlocked a skill that required it a while ago (if I was following) but have yet to get any stamina. I feel like I missed something obvious...!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@mutevampire All my allies and myself are max level/luck/stats, I can't level them any more, the tool tips say "Complete." I've ordered them from lowest damage to highest, and even if I made a mistake there, it's not going to *triple* my damage.
That said, it seems I have missed something, because I haven't even seen the "Flower Fairy." But I also doubte that it alone will *triple* my damage, will it?
And if it does, it's then the only thing that matters, and I need to know how to get it. Is it the rare ????? enemy in the waterfall? Wow do you get it to spawn?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Catrys - It isn't all about the ritual level. Your best bet is a max level Goblin, Snake, Wolf, and a Flower Fairy that's as high as you can be bothered to grind it. Next, pay attention to how it targets your side... top down. Order your party from weakest attacker (Goblin or Flower Fairy, depending on your Fairy level. Personally I was at ~50, making it stronger than the Goblin) to your Strongest (Wolf should be below you, as it has a stronger attack than you before you beat the orc). Next, pay attention to the timing of your party's attacks. Snake should use Tackle because when it doesn't, you lose precious time to a party member charging an attack only to get killed midway through it. Fairy should also use Tackle, because she can waste her turn otherwise. Finally, remember to turn your Familiar to the Devil with no other options marked. Lost attacks and powerful party members getting killed first are what make the difference against the Orc.

OK, I must be missing something. I'm ritual level 8 and the only thing left for me to do is kill the ork, but when I fight him he still has over 800 hp when I lose. How do I tripple my damage?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@drinthap - mostly right, though in my experience you want to make a few changes... Goblin does slightly more damage than Bird, so run that in the top spot. Wolf should be your strongest attacker, and so should be in the bottom spot. Snake should run Tackle... it's slightly slower, but with that your attacks will line up so that the Orc never kills something partway through charging an attack. Flower Fairy should also run Tackle, so she doesn't stop to Pick Flowers, and should be fairly high in the party because unless she's like, max level, she won't have more Attack than even Snake.

Guide to beating Dim Cave:
Party Composition (in this order): Bird, Goblin, Snake, You(Equip Slash Skill), Wolf
Flower Fairy grinding takes too long, so I skipped it to make this team.
Needs Level 7 Lesser Devil Familiar level, and a few levels in stamina to use your slash (takes about 2-3 hours of afk?).
When you're fighting the orc, place your habit points into Energy Recovery.
This will just barely be able to beat the orc, but there's some rng involved with the damage and the first few times I fought the orc it ended with 2 hp remaining. Just immediately try to fight it again if you fail, and once you defeat the orc you can equip your new title and have 100% winrate vs the orc.

I really like the game but you can at least make the ogre a little easier or make it a lot less time consuming to get the stuff to beat the ogre

Orc fight is litterally impossible without actually paying money to add party slots I guess. 0/5, it's just a bait to make people pay...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Does the character get stronger by fighting? Nope, but they get seeds to raise their stats. Oh good, so I can get strogn... But there is a hard cap. Can I raise the hard cap? Only a little, really not much at all. Ok, so I am raising pets too... yeah, but they cap also. Oh look, an Ogre, a challenge. No, there is no way to beat this guy at all unless you rank up to at least 8. But I'm rank 6 and have completed everything? Sorry kid... grind grind grind

@CihangirAkkurt: Put a slime, or any other monster which can't one-short wolves, above Norm in the party order. It's still luck-based, but the slime sets up the wolves for Norm to kill.

What is the tactic to get Norn kill 10 wolves, I have no problem with grinding, but her quest is too much luck. I cleared the dungeon over 100+ but only 1 time she killed a wolf. She cannot be leveled so she cannot 1 hit them, so she has to get a lucky KS...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
some tips when you set started party line up should be weakest to strongest (to max damage). focus on leveling up (beat up your dad if you need extra stat/seed points if needed). Leave all habit points in routine -> praying (for quicker rank ups), but after ranking up you can jump between energy recovery and stamina cap for some stamina points and later focus on summon familiar (for extra stats the first boss you need all you can get). when you afk look at your teams passive skills to max offline gain.

The game is superb and I really enjoy it, but it's really hard to read with all the grammatical errors. It may not seem like it, but it makes a big difference in a game such as this.

ive got orc down to 400ish hp but thats as far as i can go without some more stats or the ability to make it so my highest attacker is the only one who attacks
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The Orc is beatable at Ritual 8 with about 7 Familiar levels. I got close with 6 and made the mistake of not going in with full stamina. Still though, that's 10 hours of semi-active play at least before the first real hurdle can be overcome. With Bully gated behind the Orc, you're 5 max destiny short of unlocking any of the schools, so the only option is grinding out Ritual levels and then Familiar levels, which feels like a poor design choice.

Since I can't edit my comment I wanted to add one more thing, how do you make norn kill wolves if all she does is mana charge? I tried setting skills to make her do something else but she can't do slash, kinda confused.
