The previous Ring Pass Not was the first game I really became addicted to on Kongregate, and one that I still play even now, years later. This second version lacks the simple charm of the first, despite a huge difference in graphics and aesthetics. And now you want me to pay to Download the "Premium Version"? No thank you.

I like the fact that you get warned before pressing ok this time. In the prequel, sometimes you could make a small mistake and ruin hours of gameplay.

i'm a big disappointed that you don't get to see the dragon breathe fire at the end of the level like the first one, but at least it explains the bonus combinations better!

I'm not seeing any improvement over the last game except the ability to restart in the middle and not have to play the early levels over again. However, there's a noticable lack in the UI ("a blue thing with a T...what the hell does that do?" "Oh, ok." "OH, so THERE'S the tooltip list I've been lacking." "Now how many of these 'Change to Earth' things do I have? Two? Please be two...DAMN")
The game is still as luck based as ever.

This game is GREAT! I can't believe the rating is so low:( People come on, do something!!! It deserves AT LEAST 4 stars!

just won the game... u can continue to play for a high score but trust me i used my last transformator on the last tile so i had no tiles to continue... i have to note that the pieces definetly arent random, u just have to choose wisely before doing anything, sure sometimes u depend on luck but on lvl 40 i had only a switch and a blue transformator... i needed 2 tiles and there were 2 tiles... 1 fitted if i switched it.. then i pushed my last deal and it fitted exactly on the limiters but the colour was not right so i used blue transofmator... intense :D but now im dizzy so im going for a walk XD

Dayvit the point of the game is to be careful and concentrate on what you are doing and if you mess up just re arrange them if you can if you can't you are probably done

it gets nearly imopossible to keep playing after restarting from the save point, since the bonus tools are not saved (you start just with a BB, a S and a couple of ED) and it's really hard to keep going without any transform bonuses (cuz yeah, on the advanced levels it's also pretty hard to get them all again from the synergy thing, because of the number of limiters)
Besides, even if you get to Cloud Dragon levels you can't restart from level 31. WHY? pretty frustrating...
Good game, though, and awesome improvements - specially visually!

I feel certain that the piece generation is NOT evenly distributed random. There is a definite tendency for the piece you need to NOT show up until about four pieces later.

the concrete level cap would work fine if this were a more skill-based game, but a good deal of this is dice rolls. That and the ever-shrinking pool of draws have me giving up right around level 2-4.
Fun concept, but needs a little bit of balance and accounting for randomness.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A nice game otherwise, but considering the amount of randomness involved and the ease of a full game over, it fails miserably at entertaining the player. 3/5 for the nice concept and graphics, 0/5 for the entertainment value.

torren, you didnt play color blind mode. In color blind mode lines are arranged in specific patterns on the wings of a piece, different patterns depending on the color. the symbol is then visible on top of that.

I don't know if I'm simply not doing something right, or what...but I've saved my game three times now...and when I come back, I have to start at the beginning again, it's not saved.
???

I just played colour blind mode, and matched both symbols and colours, so don't get this comment - it is however a bummer that you can't start again from level 31 to fight the last dragon. I feel sure this will be fixed before the game is finally completed? It's a great game, better than the first visually for sure. I would also appreciate clearer explanation of ring combo bonuses (separately from in-play) and more reward for observation and re-shuffling; less luck.

not my kind of game but i get that other people like it in a way color blind mode looks better then orginal witch is a bad thing.

Indeed the visual is so much better...however, pity that there isn't badge like the old time and U cannot restart from level 31 to continue fighting the cloud dragon.... !!!(o_O)!

Wait!--nevermind. It was actually the 1st game that I recognized the music from, and they're just similar. Please disregard the previous comment.

Was hoping to give it a good rating (since I loved the 1st), then realized the music was stolen from Mardek, so--1/5.

Although visually pleasing, the game is quite boring. Complete rings with random pieces, which you can change with spells which you can't really earn. Be honest, has any player started a level with thoughts like : I'm gonna create a harmony-ring now, because i need this particular powerful spell? All the levels are basicly the same, only with more limiters. Lost interest halfway through the dessert. 2/5

It is addictive at first, but ultimately frustrating. If you are going to have limited continues, you have to reduce the luck element. I think it's a simple tweak: Let me discard a tile and get a new one, instead of making me redraw the entire set. Limit the number of discards I can make to keep it challenging. This lets me work with potential matches in my hand, and should add a bit more strategy without altering basic game play.
