Nice game. I'd change just two things. The items bar would be visible all the time, I found it irritating that it kept popping in and out as I scanned for things to click. The other thing I'd change is to have a different cursor for moving to a different screen to prevent accidentally leaving the screen you're on.

There are some plot holes here.
Plot Hole #1 On the dark hallway, on the room where there is a wooden horse. What is the meaning of the words written on the wall?
Plot Hole #2 On the dark tunnel. If you play with the direction of the flashlight, you will see a room. In there, you will see news articles saying about people who became different persons after they Woke Up. Whats that supposed to mean?
Plot Hole #3 Whats the purpose of the golden statue?

guys
i just experienced the creepiest experience while playing this game
I was playing for a while and reached a certain point. Then all of a sudden my internet stopped working and a lamp post outside went out! At this point I was trippin the **** out! I was like "am I really hallucinating?!" Then I kept playing the game for a while. Then I was such a coward and was like "Im not playing this game anymore TOO SCARY!" I then closed the game down... guess what happened RIGHT afterwards....
THe internet started working again and the lampost went back on.....
ok was I REALLY hallucinating?!

One part of my dream started with an inert little ball on the floor, that would move very slightly as soon as I stopped looking at it, or when it was in the corner of my eye. After that, we (someone was with me) decided to experiment with the ball and we went on from there.

I just had a dream/nightmare before playing this. I actually had an idea for a horror game while still inside the dream, based on the some of the dream I was having. The only similarity with this one is the staircase, except the one in last nights was darker, and always pointed downwards even if you went up (you couldn't go back). I've been dreaming about staircases since I read about SCP-087 and played that game.

And the hallway with the flashlight... Walk down, look around with the flashlight... And a skull-like head peeking out from a doorway! Lol Awesome. Then, open the code-locked door, step by step down the hall, grab the pickaxe, open the door HOLY SHIT A WRAITH-LIKE THING! And finally, up the lighthouse, put in the gem, back down OH SHIT THERE'S MORE OF THEM! Son of a bitch, it's chasing me! Oh, oh good, I made it. Lol awesome. 5/5.

Wake up... You have to wake up... Wake up... You have to wake up... Stayed in that room for about 5 minutes, listening to that.

Great game! I don't think the graphics are bad. On the contrary - the 8bit graphics work very well in your game. With the added filters you've successfully created a creepy-looking effect that most 8bit games are incapable of. This game made me feel... uneasy? Disturbed maybe? More than once. It's surprising, has moments where you have to think things through, and some where you have to hurry, yet it doesn't punish you cruely for failing (like start all over again). This game is both interesting to seasoned and casual players, with it's incredibly creepy atmosphere and original idea, and some not-so-obvious puzzles, yet at the same time being forgiving for the player's mistakes and being relatively short. Sir, you've definitely earned that 1st prize!

Very creepy game. Just a suggestion, though - I think some of the objects need bigger hitboxes, at least for their descriptions. There was one case where even with the hint from the walkthrough it took me awhile to figure out what was the object in question

Did not peek at the walkthrough at all. Didnt use some of the items. Waiting for a sequel to explain everything about the storyline.

I never used the golden statue. Are you planning on continuing where you left off in this game in your next installment if there is to be one?

Solid atmosphere and creepiness. Difficult, but not impossible (net and hook was a bit of a stretch, but otherwise it was all fairly logical), honestly... it's very good. 4/5.

This game was outstanding, I loved every bit of it. the creator did a really good job of making it creepy. I confess I peeked at the walkthrough a few times.

Graphics need to be tidied up some. Pixels are so large that some objects are hardly noticeable, which isn't something that works well for a game which focuses on finding all the items. And I guess it made the experience a bit less suspenseful. Nonetheless, excellent concept and a solid title that kept me going despite the over-pixelation. 5/5

I don't know that I've ever gotten tensed up playing a point and click before now... great game, spooky music and atmosphere.
