lol Exort its not a you are dead screen, its part of the ground. that final level is exactly what it is, a final level for the final boss, no other zombies are they, nor should they be. just do what the book tells you to, and you'll unlock the final boss. thats where you'll kill him.

Why would you tell us to "conserve ammo" and not give us the option to swap weapons? Isn't that standard, to swap to less powerful weapon with infinite ammo, and save your good weapon for tough guys?
All in all, though, great game.

It's a terrible game. Lower the 'awesome' level and make it more playable. the crappy instructions at the beginning sure don't help either. 1/5

BUG: as soon as I enter Level 30, I get the "you are dead screen" and teleport back to the last checkpoint. In the stat I still have 0 death, and when I get back to level 30 it give me "you are dead" again. Im stucked :(

This game would be fun if it weren't so confusing at the start. After a day or two you start to get it, but at the beginning it's like "here are the controls you are a guy or two survive unlock stuff save people GO GO GO"

I was giving this game a 5/5 until I got stuck on Day 09. Mama's Boy apparently has been released, but doesn't feel like coming out. 4/5 for this horrendous glitch.

how come only the base level weapon counts for unlocking the level 3 weapon? I mean why would you want to pick the weaker weapon if you have the cash for one you probably have the cash for the 2nd.

To bad the story cant be deciphered from the microscopic comic page. im not going to play it again on your page. And I cant be arsed to find the savegame and copy it to your page's savelocation.

I like the mix of oldschool graphics and gameplay and quirky humor/personality. Definitely a start to something great. My biggest complaint is I want more of everything: a longer 'item tree' of purchasables to unlock including permanent gun upgrades, more characters to choose between (or just unlockable alternative action/specials for the existing ones), more enemies, harder bosses, difficulty modes... Basically, this feels like a game that begs to become a major timesink for a while, but there's not enough content to support that much replay. I probably spent a good hour at first grinding, trying out the different guns/actions/specials, restarting the first couple days to build a bankroll... Then I breezed through the game. I honestly think all it would take is adding more content to make this an action RPG-type game that I could play for hours. 4/5 for now, it'll 5/5 and a favorite for sure if we see a major content update.

@Blazzen I agree, the game is pretty easy, but the main problem is that it is very time consuming, and accumulating money takes long, yet the shop items kinda suck.

it's nice that new weapon pickups stay on the same level as the one previous so that i was able to kill mama's boy in like 5 seconds with my H. MG

Good game, though the last boss was a bit.... uh.... to easy? Didn't expect it to be pretty much easier then anything else in the game, possibly including the zombies.

Its slightly harsh when you go to pick up an 8th person. I just left a little girl crying for her dad because apparently my guy can't lead more than 6 other people.

so your gun upgrades disappear, everything costs more than you can make, and your standard weapon that you always go back to completely blows. oh yeah toss in super slow reloads that never really gets upgraded. not a lot of thought went into this.

First day map has a 'sticking' point just to the left of the exit. I figured out to only get the box (m.gun) from the steps. The unlock of many zombies occurs too quick if you are trying to level up. I like grinding the maps to level up, but only three levels? Buying the H.gun, only to have it replaced with the shotgun on the first box you search, sucks. It's very difficult to see what the contents of the box are while shooting and running. Gun boxes could be perminent unlockables for the various weapons - this would work best with a larger set of weapons, much fewer weapon boxes, and all the unlocked weapons could be selectable throughout the game (or even select one at map start for that day). It'd be great if the survivors gave you a power-up while they are with you. Overall - very enjoyable gameplay, if difficult. Sound FX and music are good, LOVE the 16-bit look and sound. B&W gameplay is a nice touch. 4/5

Awkward gameplay, very slow going, simplistic, very basic upgrades. Nothing new or interesting. Not terrible, but not fantastic. 3/5

Finally beat it, wasnt easy, I love a challenge though. And seeing I got the top score rightaway must mean not many people have managed to complete it so far :)
Some comments:
The wepons could need some polishing, I especially think the level3 weapons are too weak: the laser still takes 2 shots to kill a normal zombie, it is hardly an upgrade from the other piercing guns (if at all). Rocket launcher is slower and seems to do less damage than the lvl2 shotgun, I preferred to stay at lvl2 which seems weird. And the lvl3 machine does great damage, but runs out of ammo way too quick. Anthony's special drops all the survivors, its not a big deal , but seemed odd. Biggest annoyance was getting stuck near small corridors, I had to wiggle for a while at some places to get through, while survivors were dying :(. The bosses were a bit on the easy side, they all died in less than 10secs with the heavy machinegun, was a bit of an anti climax. Other than those small things, great game!
