follow up AI just completed 44 matches in a row (one round), it was a rat and then skull cast on me, 4 rounds 66% of match item replacements were skulls and there was almost no magic sphere in the entire game, never the less to say he skulled me a second time and that resulted in death. This is shear madness. drop me a whisper if you ever fix it.

hmm I see what they mean in that it is weight way too much in favor of the AI, played 3 time in 1st round I got killed after taking my first and only turn. that needs to be fixed, until then 1/5

I've noticed that the lightning power [whatever is its name] is very useful - collecting needed, separated gems and dealing damage to the enemy. Yet I have never seen an enemy using it. Although it is the very first power.

You'd think that a game with this kind of random element would be fair and equal but nope.... it's just too biased towards the computers favor. Played it for 3 days now and I'm giving up. Call me old-fashioned, but I like my games to be enjoyable albeit challenging. This is frustrating, not enjoyable. The CPU never makes any kind of a mistake and unless you are prepared to carefully consider every possible outcome of your move, like a grandmaster chess game, then you'll just be wasting your time. Even then, the random factor makes one or two unlucky drops a scenario where the computer will eat you for dinner and you've got no chance at all. For another update of this game, the player needs to be more empowered. Much more empowered.

A fun game, but it is very tilted towards the CPU. the CPU gets way too many lucky drops, and everything just 'luckily' falls into place for them.

I love the idea behind the game. Strategy games like this are always great. However there are some flaws:
a) Book of Magic is way overpowered. You always kill in the same turn you get to use it.
b) The game is too easy to beat. As soon as I learned "destroy all skulls" I didn't lose a single match (and I think with what I learned by now, I shouldn't have lost a single one). The AI is just to bad at playing that game. Now they do see all possible extra turns, but they don't consider follow-up movement at all.
c) I think there should be a limit to extra turns. That would make the game more balanced.

To the developer of this game, for the love of god, please start making these games with a level playing field so the gamer can actually beat the bloody computer, for instance when you are fighting the rats, they have a skull spell that can instantly take off 30-40ph per everytime the computer uses that spell, well what about the gamer, give us a spell too, I am like on my 5th battle & the only spell I have is lightning, when the heck do I learn other more destructive spells.

nice game, played it all the way through (which I rarely do with flashgames). The Book Of Magic spell is far to powerfull, though. Once you have enough mana to invoce it once the enemy is practically done. Maybe you should'nt allow an extra turn after casting Book of magic?

This game is actually fun [rare!]. I love the horror theme, and the music/BGM is so good I'll be using it to lull me to sleep for days to come. I do not care if it is a "copycat"; that just makes me want to try the original. I badly want to give it five stars, but: there is little point in learning skills gradually when the outcomes are identical. Choice would change that. Also the no-enemies-left bug is annoying. 4/5, and an urgent request for another sequel with [slightly] more dynamic gameplay.

Finally got past the glitch and then didn't lose another round. Good game, but the final round is maybe too easy. I've re-played it about a dozen times and have yet to loose.
And there's a glitch with the "magic book" spell - it lets you use it before you have all the needed white stones.

Major glitch - has locked up twice now and just shows my guy. I can't keep playing just to get back to where I left off.

Great game. I've really enjoyed playing this these past couple of weeks in my spare time. I hope to see more of this style of gameplay in the future.. lots of fun!

Better graphics, gameplay, and a nice idea to choose enemies (who by the way are well balanced in areas). Its really tough to build momentum, and an eye for 4 in a row and anticipated moves/results of moved is definitely needed. Tread carefully in each turn, cowboy style will cost you!
Enemy AI is smart but you can learn anticipate their moves as you play, and you can find out ways to get around them, even set up 'traps'.
The end boss is easy, just 'throw the book' at him!

Hey! I beat it and wanted to start another game. but it just reset all my stats and heath and put me against the final boss! why cant i start over?!

hmm weird, submitting score doesn't work here on kong, it shows the chat light as red :( I want my 7 monsters to be submitted!

gee, legion-2! Cool! So far zero bugs. But, since you updated skull/mace damage, you might review the spell 'Skull Blast' to deal 3 damage per skull destroyed. Also AI might try to first destroy skulls then maces, however, this thing is arguable.

zoidfrybennib: you need to have #100, then the spell is enabled and you can use it. In each battle you can see in the top bar what you can win..(i.e. 15% Skulls dust = 15% experience, once you have 100 =>spell is enabled)

I have 4 locks with actual #s next to the, no zeros, do I just keep killing enemies until I can use them? I can't stop playing this game even though I barley know what's going on.

to uzii: thanks for bug report. I think it can be caused because of explosion effects (they are quite heavy on CPU). Could you try to turn it off (button next to the Mute button), could help. Thanks
