It would be nice if the computer didn't base its next move on the gems that were aboout to come down from the top of the screen. It's fair that way.

How could a game so heavily influenced by Puzzle Quest (a game series I love) be so goddamn awful? Let's see. (1) The AI is such that it's a constant scramble to collect the Skull tiles, rather than formulating any sort of strategy. (2) It takes FOREVER to learn spells and, again, because of the AI, you never really use them. (3) There's such a preponderance of skull tiles on the board, that if you try and do anything OTHER than damage your opponent with them, you get clobbered. A truly great game style, brought to utter crap by bad programming. 2/5

It would be fun to start with something to do with all the mana we collect. Having no spell for the first battles and then a spell that just uses 2 types of mana means all gem swaps are pointless attempts to make more skulls appear.
I enjoy it, but still just 3/5 because of the issue I mentioned above and because it's too much of a Puzzle Quest Lite. -.-;;

Yeah, what gives with the crappy "You Lost" when you finally beat the last guy? He has such an advantage over the player that it's kinda pissy to see that after you do manage to win.

to burningwings136: Hi man, thanks for comment. Yeah you are right, this is my mistake I forgot about :(. However there shouldnt be so many of meduzas in a game. And soon coming Dark legion 2 with totally new gameplay and AI!:-)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
One thing about the AI: it always goes for the extra turn... which means that the AI likes getting four medusa gems in a row (and thus dealing 8 damage to itself) every chance it gets.

Battle ratio after attempted restart less than zero :P I daresay the game needs polishing, but it's really amazing, and AI gives a challenge. 5/5

i think it would be cool if you could pick your power-ups. Also, it should get progressively harder. I'm on level 35 and it's still the same difficulty.

to Tomsense76 and PsychoFrentik1: hi, thanks for suggestions, as my last game was quite hard, I didnt do this one so hard :). But I also think its too easy, so will increase difficulty soon!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'll agree that the difficulty needs to be increased. Seems the only time I lose is when the computer lucks out and hits a bunch of combos when the blocks refill....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I really like this game! I have a suggestion however. I would reduce the number of red skull buttons. First of all, having too many skull buttons makes the game about luck more than strategic choices. Secondly, battles are nearly over by the time I'm able to start using spells.

70-10. Great game for playing at work because there is no time and I can leave my desk and come back and pick up where I left off. Need more games like that.

to beric: that thing about healing should be fixed since yesterday, did it happen after? Maybe there stayed old version in cache :/. Hmm its really mistery for me about that last monster, I have tested that like 100x times and beaten him everytime without any problem :(..

To Shajby: I wasn't joking. I wish I was. I kept killing him and kept losing. I finally won this morning. Hit him with medusa and then just skulled him out. And it worked. Don't know what the difference was, but there you go. I also had a crash early on when one of the opponents tried to heal itself. It just locked up. But fortunately the autosave worked just fine.

quiet often the ai will miss 4-5 match moves. it seems like the ai thinks from top left to bottom right and whatever move is available first is the one they make. difficulty should be increased

Thanks all for comments! Game again freezed? Was it freeze caused by flash or just game freeze (you could go to menu then and play it again)? Thanks for info!

Good presentation. I like the look of it. I would like to have more of a story to it. Also, the AI should be better. I saw several times when the monster passed up 4 and 5 matches, or colors for its spells.

good concept on the match 3 games, maybe it should be set with the ability for 2 players to play and not one against the computer. maybe even add in some achievements and cards

Killed lvl 70 first try. Not any harder than any others. They key to winning is getting as many >4 matches as you can.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, just to note, I had over 100 life when I killed him the last time (and still lost) If there's a trick... let me know.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
That's the last time. I really liked this game, but I can't seem to kill him. I've hit him with skulls again, but lost. I'll check back later to see if anyone else has had this issue.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Two more times. (Three, but one I actually did lose) One time I killed him off with skulls. One time I killed him off with the Devil Laugh spell. Each time "You Lost - You were beaten to death!" I'll give it one more go.

I was able to finish the game without any problems aside from the dark rain spell but I didn't try all the spells on lv 70. I think the only explanation needed is that red gems deal damage while all other gems only add to your mana counter which you need to cast spells. The white orb is called the medusa gem used for the last spell you acquire.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
to Beric: Hey man, thats really strange. I have tested that few times and also many people finished that without any problem :///.Maybe he killed you before you killed him?:-) Thats for bug report anyway!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Can someone tell me how to win level 70? I've killed him five times now, and each time I've lost.
"You were beaten to the death" is the end statement. Is this a clue and not just bad grammer?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hey, it should not be predictable. Maybe there were just few rounds that looked like its every time searching for the same, but it could be just an accident :--).
