Another thing, I think it's more appropriate to call this an incremental game and not an idle game. Bit too active to be an Idle game

I dislike how when you scroll back up to your previous commands you can't press down for a clean slate. I have to delete the command line every time I decide that I want to go to the store instead of injecting or scanning for networks.

what if you could buy bots that you could code like say you want a bot that breaks into networks with no security then you would do
scan
if network security=true then
move on
if network security=false then
inject {ip}
listdevices {ip}
mine {ip} {mac0}
if mac1=true then
mine {ip} {mac1}
if mac2=true then
yada yada yada

there is a need on some colour options! the green black puts such a strain on the eyes if you play for a little longer!

I love the blue-screen-of-death hacker terminal variant. Nice to know I'm not the only one who likes to do that to command prompts.
Also, @elvierde "status" (if you bothered to read help) will give you the exact information requested. I will admit checking the crack status before HUD would be nice.
Also, @SILVERFINISH 2 things. First, great job, and SSID suggestion: 1337__)-(4><0R. Second, Vollov has a valid point. This isn't exactly an idle game. Cash gen is too fast to be idle, but slowing it down would make it a pain to be active. Perhaps speed of mining devices decreases every 10s or so that a command hasn't been entered. Alternatively make it store a timestamp and use that to generate appropriate amounts of idle cash on sign-on then change "exit"'s help message to include the fact it will generate slower idle-cash

I dont understand how to pay the guy, he messages "send 5000 SFC to the address 'm5hds99jd3n2'' I then do "pay m5hds99jd3n2" and it does nothing, it doesn't even respond to my message, what do i do?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
would be nice to see the list of mining devices and how much they are producing per sec. Also, when in intermediate steps it would be great if "scan" showed the current status of the hacking. Great game!

Nice game, but the shortcut upgrade is a little bugged. for ex I used crk and din't worked but when i use crack work!!!

I didn't realize that the message implied a kidnapping. I thought the message was just from someone to whom I owed money XD.

upgrade allowing you to replace recent used IP with [IP] is useless, beacouse it's possible to just do "inject" click arrow up and replace inject with listdevices or mine (hope anyone will find it useful)

I forgot from the tutorial how to convert currency. The help menu doesn't tell me the exact command, just a vague description.

For those of you who don't understand why IP or MAC# doesn't work.
It uses something known as an Index. An Index uses Square brackets [].
So it is [MAC0], [MAC1], [MAC2], etc. And IP is [IP].

I'm not sure I'm using the MAC shortcut right. Some examples of what I was typing were "mine 94.40.48.35 MAC1", "mine 94.40.48.35 1", and "mine 94.40.48.35 MAC01" and none of those worked. I beat the game anyways but I think there could be a bug with that. Besides that, this is an extremely fun game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
To use the mac# shortcut you need to actually write "[mac#]" Just using "mac#" doesn't work. This means for index 0 you'd write "mine 12.34.56.78 [mac0]"

I didn't expect to have so much fun with this very minimalistic game. Greatly done! I wish it had more story content/a sequel...

People (#1 comment? really?) have noted concern about this actually hacking people. Its not. the ip's are all 2-digit base-10 numbers, true ips have 4 numbers ranging from 000-255, this would also be 2-digit base-16 number. If they were smart enough to make a game like this actually get through firewalls/antivirus software while using dummy ips ... well, frankly, the guy wouldn't be doing this, he would have the far less fluctuating aid of an AI program designed to do this for him.
The usage is 'probe {IP} {Guess}'. For the guess, you are told if the actual port is higher or lower so you can adjust the value and guess again. Hope this helps!

Really enjoyed playing the game, not sure if you have plans to expand upon the story mode , the game definitely has potential for expansion.

Eventually the help menu gets so long I can''t see all the commands on in the game screen. Scrolling the text would be nice for this as well as to look back up at things. That or being able to make the text smaller as it's fairly big

> mine [ip] [mac0]
where you already did input an IP previously . then i would do
> mine [ip] [mac1]
> mine [ip] [mac2]
if there was more devices to mine ..
