Can't get past level 100. Couldnt press the "Buy lives" button fast enough. Suggest uncapping the max lives to 50 and make it 500 or even 5000 to ensure something stupid like that doesnt happen.

They need to update this version to the one that was used at www.gemtowerdefense.com. Should be able to select any gem to combine special. Also, should have a customizeable setting to increase game speed.

As far as i am aware, i was the very first and so far only person to ever record an actual Uber Stone!! If you search my name in youtube and look at my GTD videos you can see what one looks like. The likelihood of getting one is absolutely astronomical but it is still possible. Good luck all :)

So. i can special-combine the five random gems together, or combine from gems i've kept, but not both?
ah. THAT explains why I never seemed to get any special-combines after getting a silver or malachite from the first 5 gems.

if you have all of the gems needed in your select, you can make it, if you have all of them already selected (perm.) you can make it, if it's a combination of both, you cant make it yet.@PJ

If you want an in-game Special Combine list, I suggest you go to http://www.gemtowerdefense.com. That is the official site for the game. Under the game window is a list of Special Combines, and when you hover over all the gems in the recipes, it tells you their stats. You can also just keep that open in a separate window. You can also go to http://gemtowerdefense.com/sandbox/ to test out strategies, mazes, or just plain old mess around.

Bonus Hints: Get 2 same color Perfect stones in one set and you get a Great Stone of that color. Get 4 Perfect stones in any color in one set and you get an Uber Stone (although it's extremely rare).

This was the most popular game on a site i used to go on, it's so much fun! I wish their was a sequel so much...
And there is an end, it's just really hard to get to.

I think it's one of the best flash games ever made, considering the flash capabilities five years ago. I wish they'd make a Gem TD 2.0. =/

Thumbs up if you think they should make a beta version where:
1.There are bosses
2.You can combine like gems that you already have
3.Rocks give you 1 gold when sold (right now I think it is just annoying to have to waste time to sell them in order to free a good placement spot, when you get absolutely nothing)

Opal's increase speed effect, DOES NOT STACK. Just in case you haven't noticed, if you have two opal's (which increase the firing speed of towers in their firing radius) the opal that has the highest quality is the only effect that will be applied. When there are two of the same quality, only one will take effect.

yep, the words "mana" don't mean anything here, there probably was mana in the development stage, but the release doesn't contain any, and they forgot to clean up these words from the game.
