a new way to have fun. very addicting but I'm not so happy with the game interface at the top. Also add some power-upds or bonuses even though that's not to important.
Great idea and awesome game. I would also make the bouncy balls a little different in colour

_Really_ frustrating that a re-generated bouncy ball in the upper-right corner will kill an expanding filler ball; but fun game. Not so much replay value though, I'm afraid.

Nice game -- difficulty ramps well. Like that you get a little but more of each resource (time, lives, balls) each level. Had a blast earning the badges.

I'm not saying it's the perfect solution, but the ball-squashing isn't going anywhere. This game started out as a prototype around the APE physics engine, and one of its limitations is that collisions tend to break down at high speeds. The "squash" actually occurs when a filler ball lands perfectly in line with a bouncing ball. Because there's no tangential component, the collision can't squirt the ball out to one side or the other... it sort of hyperaccelerates it through the floor. I thought having balls disappear entirely was too easy, so I check for it and reintroduce them in the same place every time... meaning it's something you can learn to avoid. As for the memory leaks: I've never made it past Level 20, so I haven't run into them yet. =]. If lots of people are seeing this, I'll code myself some "jump to level 50" cheats so I can try to fix it a bit.

a _significant_ number of my lives were lost, simply due to the spawning of balls in the upper-right corner; right where I was growing my next bubble..
Other than that, a surprisingly fun game (if a bit easy; 37 lives? 45??). An ending level or something would be nice, too.

Oh yeah I decided I'd have dinner later xD.
Tass: Well I found out that it did that early (before the update to instructions), and simply made my strategy adding the fillers to the upper left corner as long as I can (if you do it right, you can practically make huge ones - comparatively - when on high levels even like 60 or 65). If you look at this screenshot: http://teh.nab.googlepages.com/filler64.PNG you can see that there's only a third of the balls there anyways, and the rest are trapped (unintentionally). I suppose trapping the balls all underneath would be a good strategy, but given the large quantity of balls (and lives) you get on later levels (probably need to be fixed), it would make it almost too easy. Anyways, wasn't the goal of the game to fill up the screen, not to trap the balls? ;)
Oh yeah, FFR is awesome.

Great work! Very creative and well done. And the people who complain about the balls reappearing... you don't have to punish him by giving him a 1 out of 5. It's still a great game.

Nabb: my main strategy was to continue to attach the upper left and upper right corners, making balls to knock the balls away, then repeating in the newly created empty space. But, it's REALLY helpful to be able to trap the balls. Makes it easy. And is, in fact, a strategy to intentionally trap the balls. But if you work to trap them, and they magically re-appear outside the trap... you are actually worse off than you were before trying to trap. Not to mention, it completely takes away the ability to produce balls in the upper right corner, because too often you try to make one, and a magic crushed ball appears out of nowhere, popping your ball-in-progress. I'm with Creed on this all the way. Either make it so the balls remain trapped when crushed (aka, pushed to one side or the other, but still in the same spot, basically) or have them disappear altogether when crushed, which would make sense as well.

Urg, how does it kill strategy or anything like that? I've just passed level 60. It hasn't affected me at all in the 60 levels.

In other words, rather than fix the code so the player isn't punished for strategically trapping his opponents, its now being claimed as a 'feature' with an edit to the instruction box. Still 1/5, thanks anyway.

This game is awesome, simple and lots of fun. The only thing i dont like is how you can crush the balls and they reappear in the top right.

great game.... except for the fact that 50% of the time that you trap balls, they get "crushed" and wind up re-spawning in the upper right corner. Which I have to assume is a major glitch, because it completely kills strategy throughout. Makes it rough to get huge percentages at lower levels, and makes it rough to pass leves beyond 20.

Dear CreedP,
Here is a quote from the instructions on this page: "If you squash a bouncing ball, it will reappear at the top right corner."

Thanks for the "help" SimianLogic, surely you're only trying to defend your game - but there's nothing in the instruction explaining why we trap a ball only to have it spit back out of the upper right corner. THAT, sir, is a bug. Sad, too, the game has a good feel and a great look, even if it gets repetitive after a dozen levels or so... Still - its bugged, bottom line.
