i love this game! plus it has the PSG-1 as the best semi-automatic rifle, my favorite sniper rifle since I played metal gear solid. heckler and koch ftw.

For those confused about mission 10: you have to shoot the box, then when the guard comes out, shoot him in the leg. The door will open and when it does, shoot the box inside; this will prevent the door from closing. Hope this helps.

i HIGHLY agree with fliqs comment of the assassin twitching, to the point where simply +ing it wasnt enough. If you are going to put that type of effect ,it has to be constantly moving slightly, not jumping. i would suggest having a slight movement of the scope, and then being able to hold a button to take a 3 second breathe. other than that very unpleasing flaw, i can give a 4/5. if that is fixed, a 5/5 is in order!

this is stupid... if you lose a mission, you lose money, missions where it isn't inherently obvious what you are trying to do, and no replay money. and on top of that, for winning, if you ever miss you get $750, every time you lose, you lose $500, so unless you're great at the game, there is little opportunity to buy anything, and if you are, you probably don't need it.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous, no sniper is this bad, and the reloading animation is annoying as hell. If you ever make a 4th game, fire your sniper and get a new one, this one has parkinson's or something.

Okay, so on mission 10 you need to:
1- shoot the small rectangle at the bottom of the wall on the right to make a guard come out
2- shoot the guard who steps out in the legs and the bunker door will open for a moment
3- shoot the generator (that powers the door) inside the bunker (it is on the right inside the bunker when the door opens).
I must have repeated this mission 10 times before finally completing it, so I thought I would help ease other people's frustration as well.

1) The default gun CAN be used through every mission, even on realistic, and yes even level 7. 2) The twitching isn't THAT hard to compensate for. Just wait it, adjust, fire. 3) If you can't handle the default bolt action rifle: Do the tutorial achievements! You can buy any gun you want quickly. 4) Use arcade mode to practice if you need to. 5) If you still fail, vote this down and post yet another "omg game sux" comment.

Guys. Sooo I wanna buy the second rifle right? So I have BARELY enough money to sell my old one to buy a new one. And I barely buy it with 50 moneys left. Then it says i can't play another round because I don't have a scope.

It is a nice game, though as it's been said fix the scope in realistic mode. Really it should not jerk when you steady to take the shot( perhaps after a while, when aim at something too long, you then swing widely) Also the hit detection needs improvement, I shot five shots all perfectly near the head. Doesn't do nothing. I like the money system, the game then requires skill.

Cool concept, but I gave it up after a few random twitches into -$500 mission fails. A penalty for failing in a game where random factors matter alot is not a good idea.

I'm gonna agree with everyone else and say that "random reticule jerking" is in no way realistic. Having enjoyed the previous games in the series, I was looking forward to playing this, but the godawful "aiming" made this game well nigh unplayable. Shame, really ... hopefully an amended version can be released.

Work out the bugs and this would be a solid game. The -500 for failing a mission but not being able to re-earn money from old missions was an odd choice.

why does failing a mission take away money?!, it's an eh concept shoe horned in and makes it so you get punished for not being perfect and then can't further retry after because no money is given anyway

If your on casual mode, you can still get the "hardcore" guns. Just sell all of your existing guns and buy a really great gun.

yeah... the game IS good, the aiming isn't as bad as people say, once I realised you can zoom in with a decent scope AND diazepam helps you out, you can combine those and get your steady shots as you want '-'

ok, realistic mode is NOT realistic. Anyone here I'm pretty sure could not go out into the world and find a trained sniper that jiggles that much

Reallistic my ass. The matrix was more reallistic than this and at least I enjoyed that. Why the hell would a gun that's slow firing, a pain in the ass to reload and most likely has a bent barrell cost 2200 "money". Worst game of the series

Don't call it realism, call it Frustration mode. It's not realistic if you cannot hit sh*t because the "professional" sniper you are twitches every time you line up a shot.

For help in realism mode - Don't buy anything when you start, complete the first two training "achievements", go to the buy screen and sell your gun. Then you'll have enough money to buy the best bolt action sniper (with $600 leftover) definitely makes the missions much easier.

if you fired a real gun or used a real rifle with a scope shooting targets beyond 200 yrds you will realize that the realistic mode isn't realistic at all

I agree with Flig, if, in this game, you were playing the role of a professional killer, the crosshairs would twitch an almost incomprehensibly small amount. When you kill for a living, that little T moves when you want it to. xD Otherwise it's a great game. 4/5 I very much enjoyed blowing those powerless little stickmen away with my trust PSG-1!

I have really enjoyed the TA series, but i must admit and agree with the top comments, the twitching, replay value, and the problem i immediatly encountered was the hit detection in the first mission ------ * Lines up crosshair so that targets head is blurred red* ..... * takes shot* * Misses *
...... I think you need to make afew fixes and changes, but in the meantime, 3/5 sorry

i would expect at least 2 trophies maybe 3. considering the difficulty of the game i would expect an easy and a medium trophy or possibly easy and 2 mediums.
