I agree with a lot of the sentiments already expressed - likely the best flash-style sports manager ever made. That said I have a few suggestions/critiques.
I started in Chicago - I decided to go with the recommended mode of starting with a random/low ranked team and working my way up. Over 4 seasons I developed my team - eventually we made it to the retro bowl and lost by a score. Things were going very well. I went to Tampa Bay, since my goal (Baltimore) wasn't yet interested. It had 5 star offense and defense - seemed I was walking into a massive upgrade. When I arrive, all the established coaching staff is fired (and with it their experience) and I find a 2 star defense and 2.5 star offense. Basically, I abandoned hours of labor and investment for a dud - regardless of realism, this doesn't make for a fun or rewarding experience.
Teams you transfer into should reflect the stated ranking when they're offering to take you on, and not immediately hamstring you.

why are there so many fumbles now? after latest update my running back went from 1 to 2 fumbles per year to 4 per year. my TE never fumbled until now: twice in first four games. all are maxed on morale and rarely under 90 % stamina. please fix. frustrating to have at least one turnover per a game ... and that's just the fumbles

You Should Add All Time Records and In Season Stats like passing yd leaders rushing yd leaders and make it so we can suggest a trade to other teams

how is a 1 star defense and 2 star offense defeating my 5 star offense and 5 star defense when i click sim game...my team lost 21 to 7 when i clicked sim game and i have 5 star offense and defense and houston only had 1 star defense and 2 star offense

Amazing ofc its retro bowl, im not gonna waste time praising it cause at thispoint everybody knows about it, but please add replays to the browser version- theyre great on mobile

So I was able to play an entire season without a lockup, but after the Retrobowl, it locked on a player levelup screen. RIP season.

Quarterback should be able to throw a pass after starting the run. Maybe an attribute available to 3-star QBs+ that gets better as the QB gets better

There should definitely be a tweak on how much percent your fans go down by when you lose. (I loose 1 game pretty much all my fans are gone)

I'm suddenly having issues with the game locking up in the post-game wrap up. 47 seasons in, and I had to start over because it was locking up at the same point over and over in the same game, and now it's doing it again.

My QB threw for 370 yards and 4 TD's and my WR had 217 yards with 3 TD's in the retro bowl but my kicker got MVP. lol
