Ok, so AI team stats mean next to nothing. I have a 5 star defense and offense with a 5 star offensive coordinator and a 3 star defensive coordinator, yet my defense is getting scored on every single drive by a one and a half star offense and my running back and wide receivers are not faster than anyone and they consistently juggle the ball, usually netting the other team an interception. I mean, I'm just playing catch the opposing team's DBs and my running back can't make it through the line. What am I even doing in this game?

Not being able to have backup players when your "star" players get injured is a nightmare, especially for QB. It seems if your QB is injured, you're just going to lose.

nightfighter: every 3rd run is a lot, how OLD is that running back(if he loses too much energy during a match he may get too tired wich greatly increases fumble chances that i've noticed) or if he is an inexperienced youngster that might happen too, though not that often

great game i love it, but now after 6 winning bowls in the row, what now? as i said be4, a carrier mode whit unlock plays and a personal playbock, or something like that anything for long term motivation case if it stay like that after a few seassions it become boring, sry to say this

Can we have the pass interference back in lieu of the cheap interceptions? Still love the game but it's now unnecessarily frustrating.

I had a 1.5 star running back that didn't fumble a single time. I saved up to get a 4 star rb that has better stats in every category and he literally fumbles every 3rd run...

I just noticed that the xp gain for defense players seems to be LOWER if they make an intercept. now for the QB being intercepted makes sense to cost him but for a defensive player it should be a major xp boost not a penalty(I had a game where all defensive player got 20+5 x tackle for xp except the intercepting player he got 3 less than that)

I'm learning to take this game on its own terms. Yeah, it's totally unrealistic but I really shouldn't expect a Flash game to have expert AI. Some of the quirks are necessary to make the game interesting while keeping system demands and development effort reasonable, and it fits with the "retro" theme. More patience in passing helps a lot and you'll notice the game giving you breaks; just need to capitalize on them so it's more fair than I initially thought. I'm going to raise my rating to 4/5.

I don't so much mind the rubber-banding after a pass is caught, but for a 2 star defense (in year 4) to be covering super-tight against first round picks with capped speed, and then have them pick the ball off after it bounces out of his capped-catching hands?
Yeah, that one bugs me.

Oh look, an new account to troll with "myasstyrf". So keyboard warrior, did my comment hurt your feelings? LOL You must be just another 30 year old simpleminded loser stuck in your parents basement. Bring some logic next time and if you look at most of the comments you'll find that the bouncing INT is a common problem with this game. Get a real life!

hey jenn16, it could be your plays that you picked because I got intercepted because of the plays that I chose to play.

The drops really are silly. Even the ridiculous magnet hand interceptions are ok. But the guys drop like 1/3 the passes and then the defenders pick it.

I have the setting of always going right-to-left. I've noticed the wind doesn't change directions at the quarter changes

what i prefer is to play with 1 QB & Rb and 2 WR, no OL or TE they usualy get low ratings and so they get only few xp per game. and full pack in defence now i have 2 DL and 3 DB, focus on takle, 3 bowls won with a record of 56-1 that cant be wrong :D

also the clock should stop once you get tackled. Makes it fair for when your trying to score a last second touchdown. You get tackled with 5 sec. left and it runs down to zero. At least add timeouts.

There is no way to make a big play. You always get chased down. Yet if the opponent has a lead they never get chased down. Super frustrating.

Is anyone noticing how insane the BILLS are? Not to anger anyone but the Bills are not a 5-star team. This is my 4th season and so far the Bills have always been in the Retro Bowl. Also, my schedule is the exact same as 2019-2020 and the Bills were certainly not unbeatable last year.

I find it very frustrating to play because the fact opponent teams can catch the ball before it lands at the point I aimed it at though my team never does that no matter how easy
it would be
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i figured out a hack to passing . throw the ball too far in front of a guy so he runs to catch it and doesnt stop mid field to catch it

I'm in Y7, and I finally have a 5 star OC, 5 star DC, fully upgraded stadium/training/rehab, 100% fans and team, TEN players all at a minimum of 4 stars (full happiness), only 3 expiring contracts, and 4 first round picks next year (with $3m left in cap). I'm officially the 2000-2019 patriots.

I actually like this game but can't make it through one full season without rage quitting. The passing mechanics are just too vague and the game punishes you for success by sidelining your quarterback, etc... 3/5 stars could be 5/5 by giving the player a bit more consideration.

6 - You can lead your receivers away from defenders with passes - generally keeping your receiver between the ball and the defender will keep them from interceptions.
7 - Always go for 2 points. Generally a screen to your RB will score.
8 - When all is running well, this will generally get you 3-4 touchdowns a game (for a score of 22-32) which should be enough to compete for the top spot in your conference during a season - enough to take a shot at the Retro Bowl.
9 - Don't stay married to your players, especially QBs. They get expensive. Often after 3-5 seasons, you can get an equivalent player as a free-agent for $10-20 less than your current player, and that money can be spent on improving other positions.

1 - When starting, get your Fans hyped up quickly. The extra coach credits come in handy.
2 - In light of #1, build the stadium up to ~5, then build training and rehab facilities up to 10.
3 - Upgrade your coaches in 2 steps. Hire one with 1.5-3 stars, then hire a 5-star later.
4 - Your team is best with 6 players, in this order of importance: QB, RB with good receiving, WR, 3 Defensive players preferably spread across positions. No OL, TE, or K. I've found it easier to get QBs and RBs as free agents, and the remainder as draft picks.
5 - You should have 3 main plays. One is a "go" or "post" route to your WR when he is faster than the defenders. Two is a quick pass to the WR when the defender lines up ~6 yards off the line of scrimmage. Three is screen passes to the RB, especially when they blitz on defense. Change plays until you have an obvious advantage.

Now interceptions are wild. You can't trust your catchers anymore even when they ace the catching skill as of ver 1.1.83.
