"Did you know you can sell cakes for money?" "Why, yes. I believe that's the premise used by most bakeries. ... Oh, you mean within the game. Right. Good to know."

This is a very promising game that I think just needs a few improvements.
There needs to be an in-game tutorial that explains things like Cakes = Life & when & how ingredients are used. Is there a reason you can't get additional cakes after so many waves? I also didn't notice any notification when I had received skill points; I just clicked on the Update Skill button to see what was there & saw I had points.

Overall a fun game, but there was one thing bugging me. When I try to take points out of any skill I have to click Minus a few times then click plus to get my points back, and it appears impossible to reduce the skill to 0 after I put 1 point in it. Its not too gamebreaking, but I thought you should know. 4/5 from me.

How to win - build towers with Red Purple White combo. Build many of these. Upgrade as necessary, or don't. Three stars every time. For the last level build an even mix of air and water towers.

Yes, this is indeed named cake pirates 2; however it bears heavily the mark of actually being made first since everything from game balance to interface workflow is clumsier. So I gave "cake pirates 2" two stars instead of the four I gave "cake pirate"...

:( Cake Pirate 1 was good. Cake Pirate is really a "discount-version" with annoyances beyond what I tolerate. Playfield is too small 'start' button is moved to the left, which is "unreachable", one cannot see the ingredient names in the list. Explanations that I can't buy an item pops over the playfield - not acceptable. Suddenly your "character" to the left starts shaking like those idiotic "You've won a million" window-popup-ads. That's where I close the game and never return.
If you haven't tried Cake Pirate 1, you really should.

skb1983 this isn't the first tower defence and tower defence is a game genre so its mode is allowed in more then 1 game

Good game. Took a while until I realised that it is best to just upgrade the towers without any elements or recipes. Only add an element when a boss is too strong. And yellow (3x in one tower) helps against crowds.

Quite a nice game. I would suggest upgrading the shooting bullets graphics - maybe mini waves and gusts of wind shooting out of specialised towers for example.

1/5 because you can not turn off the crappy music without also disabling the sound effects. Developers need to start learning how to make two separate sound controls.

just wondering, the person on the right is a woman or man? too girly for a man but she has a man's laugh. Overall, it's a unique theme for tower defense game, but pls tell me what those recipe effect.

Weird combination (pirates + cakes), but it's an interesting game. An explanation about ingredient's efects would be nice.

BROKEN! On mac safari and mac Google Chrome, the new game buttone doesnt work when you click it. It makes the noise but nothing happens.

It's really good, albeit a bit unclear what's going on. the fact that recipes aren't recorded anywhere means that most of the time i would just flail around creating random recipes.
