Also take note you can defend ALL attacks using D and you can also jump in the air twice (ie double jump) to gain the extra height you need

The first boss is really easy. Just defend most of the time as it prevents all damage. Learn his pattern and hit when you can. If you're careful to be standing under him while he breathes out golden rings you can just whack away at him.

I was at level 5 with 220hp and 12 power with maxed skills. The skills i mainly used was the Whirlwind Strike and Blasting Fire when i had the chance. The key was to be close to him but dodging his attacks as you wait for his echo attack. When he does that attack it gives you an opening for you to do anything to him which in my case i comboed him with a flurry of whirlwind strikes till he died.
