This game had a perfect balance of depth and simplicity. The controls were limiting, but provided a way to interact with everything without a pixel hunt. The puzzles made enough sense and the length was perfect. Overall, great job!

I hear the phone's dialogue in my head as sounding kind of like Click and Clack (from Car Talk), or maybe Gilbert Gottfried (e.g. Iago from Aladdin) or Janine Melnitz (Ghostbusters) -- a brash New York City or Boston accent.

Excellent! It was charming, rewarding, not too easy nor too hard ... and humorous in just the right amount. Very enjoyable experience!

agh, I have the book that talks about stew and beef or whatever, but it doesn't do anything! I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. :(

LOL. I was gonna walk away from the ringing phone at the very end of the game but it wouldn't let me/yelled at me saying "I could see you, you know!" Hahaha!

So I'm stuck at just having gotten the lightbulb base, but judging by the comments I'm just an idiot. I like the way it looks like if Earthbound was on the Gameboy in the parallel world where the Gameboy was blue and gray.

This is the kind of game that only has one albeit massive drawback: there are only 2 installments... Otherwise perfectly enjoyable out there kinda game.

The only part I needed a walkthrough for was that room with all the lamps. I guess I just couldn't see the association between all those necessary actions. Good thing the dev linked to a walkthrough in the comments, I enjoyed the rest of the game.

Really... Z is the action key... It took me 5 minutes to find that out. I might play next one depending on the gameplay but... Why Z???

Idk if my computer is broken (for this game only) or this game is broken (which I definitely think is the problem). I hit enter, space bar, every key you would use to start the game and nothing. This game is the ONLY one that doesn't work using my computer. I would love to play but I cant...

TO: Developer response from solarVagrant
The controls are listed in the game description. O, RLY?! May be you can show me what from these are controls: "After an indefinite amount of falling you find yourself in a strange house. The only person who might know what is truly going on is a mysterious individual who contacts you over the phone. Only by solving puzzles and overcoming barriers can you hope to escape."?
Look below that section:
"Controls are listed by mousing over the controller symbol on the top right corner of the game. They can also be configured from the main menu (under Options)."

The controls are awkward, a better description, e.g. how items in the inventory can be selected, would be good. And y and z is switched on my QWERTZ keyboard

You should mention the controls somehow... I was very disappointed when I got stuck with the lightbulb, went to walkthrough to see what am I doing wrong.... and VIOLA! game has an inventory on SPACE.
