this is interesting
i played with my bother (pasca46) and... well... now I know why chess has turns.
without turns, you can just capture all the pieces with your rook or queen and the game lasts all of 30 seconds.
ok

I didn't realize castling was useless. I wonder what other rules the dev thought were useless....guess I'll never know.

Castleing is a very important and powerful strategic move... to call it useless just displays a lack of knowledge about the game.

I had an amazing 2 vs 2 game (I think it was 2 vs 2) where people just used Knights and pawns to win. it was beautiful.

"also no turns to win take out your queen and own everyody as fast as u can the game sucks"
If someone does this to you, kill their queen with yours. Then counter-attack. If your queen is killed, your king and your rooks are your next strongest pieces. There's actually a lot of strategy here.

What is needed is a SHORT delay timer on a piece you just moved. You should be keeping up with at least 3 pieces, not just rocketing your queen around.

this game blows. I've been annihilated every time for the last five games without a chance to move one thing before it gets taken. Once an opponent starts to win, there's no hope unless their mouse suddenly comes unplugged. Is there a rating lower than one?

Excellent idea but you should bring the "useless" stuff back to the game: castling, en passant, pawn promotion etc…There's no sense in respecting the piece's normal moves and simply discarding other traditional chess rules because people who play this game knows chess. And the ultimate goal should still be to kill the king. Since it's multiplayer, create a ranking system so people can come back to raise their stats. I could even tolerate some non-chess power-ups like bombs, extra kings or traps you gain after some killings.

It's pretty fail when I can take my king off the board and snipe the pieces as they try to get to me. Fail, but hilarious at the thought of how mad my opponent must be.
