When I upgrade to Earthworks, it'll upgrade my bastions, but still won't unlock the earthworks for building, and when I click on it again, it deducts the unlock price all over again :(

Good game with some nice ideas, however, the game is too easy overall, and there is no real difference in difficulty between the Easy, Medium, and Hard levels. Your starting position is slightly less defensible in the harder levels, but there is no change in the difficulty of the waves from the easier levels. Part of the problem is also the fact that the enemies always enter the field from the same position. Once you have your defenses set there, there's pretty much nothing they can do... and I managed to have my defenses secured on the Hard levels by the 5 or 6 wave... Also, I beat the Red Dawn level on my first play, never building any cannons or upgrading from Palisade walls. I'm of the mind that diversifying units and upgrading basic defenses should be ESSENTIAL in a harder level; the player should be forced into putting to use everything he's learned from previous levels.

Ghurkal the difference is the grand cannon fires faster than the demi cannon and the demi faster than the first cannon

Love this game a lot. I love this time period, and the visual appearance, and the game mechanics. It would be nice if the text and some of the interface could be polished a bit more, just to make it nicer. Definetly needs work on the cannons and the ranges. They all have exactly the same stats... More units would be awesome.

Just realized why I like this game so much -- it's the first defense game I've played that actually felt like there was an actual *point* to what was happening. Maybe it's the pseudo-historical aspect; maybe it's the part where you're building fortifications rather than simply 'towers', but it really feels interesting.

I'd like to see a way to drag across squares to build a lot of units at once. Speed up should definitely be faster and toggle, not hold. Also, counters for the achievements. Finally, please fix all those bugs.

Day 21 of unlimited mode: Half the attacking army stops just out of range of my defenses and waits, while the other half proceeds to absolutely rape my earthworks walls with what look like oneshots, while ignoring a massive hailstorm of bullets. What.

I have all achievements, but it looks like their bonuses do not work.
For example, Gardes Francais should cost 900 for unlock, but it is still 1800 and they shoud cost 72 but it is still 95.
Any ideas?

Great game but the enemies move too slow even with the "speed up button" held down, and it's annoying to have to hold it; it should just be a toggle on/off button. Also, the units seem to move very slowly as they come onto the screen and then pick up to normal speed. Has anyone else experienced this or is my computer just running a little slow (entirely possible, but I thought I'd ask).

The little glitches are really getting irritating. One little french infantry guy on the first level somehow managed to shoot at one corner of my defenses and keep shooting from the same spot all the way down the line...about three times the range of my guys. I could only sit there and watch it happen without being able to stop it. LAME. Now, I'm in the middle of my second campaign and one of the engineers seems to be stuck behind a barricade doing a little dance to taunt me. The level won't progress and I'm going to have to start over. The little Frenchie is farting in my gen-er-aul die-rexion!

This game is indeed way too easy. Never losing a unit or part of your building, and main base never being touched means there is a serious problem with troop damage/life weighting. There really aren't any major differences between the different countries you pick either. The traps could be more extensive or unique to each group like the infantry are. I really enjoyed the over all idea of the game and played all the way through with the British. I gave it a 4/5 and faved it, but it could use some tweaking.

I think there's something wrong with the cannons. When you are the English, the Culverin (Small primitive cannon) and the Grand cannon (Massive long range cannon) both have EXACTLY the same range and EXACTLY the same damage, the only diference of the attack speed which is only a bit more. Not sure but this seems extremely un-cost effective since it costs 1200 to upgrade to and 800 to get a Grand cannon while the Culverin is only 200?

General: "Here's the tactics men, only ever go a few at a time so that you are completely outnumbered. Don't shoot at those walls or the snipers on them, walk around them. Walk in nice straight lines so that cannon balls will mow you all down"... I hope he gets a nice bonus from us after each battle :)!

Great game. If you want to survive without loosing a single unit (For the In Game achivement) use the english, upgrade the infantery to Tier 2 (When you had won one battle, so you start with 1500 gold) and DONT ever block completely the way to your BlockHouse. That will make them keep going almost without shooting, but really slow when they get to the walls. If they come by 3 different places, leave 3 "roads" open. You will massacre them, without almost any effort.

First level freezes on me before I can finish it. Last time it happened on wave 20! and the last few enemies just stood out of range and there was no way I could kill them!

there is a bug in the achievements "build X cannons as the french" you can get them by building the needed number of cannons with any nation

Wave 33 of the endless mode seems to have enough enemies (~40) so my infantry (~200) fire gets so CPU-requiring that the game freezes.

I love the game and look forward to seeing a second. I think a second game could open up a world of possibilities. making user levels, cavalry, more effective cannons, less effective greenjackets, more nations, more maps, speed toggle, barricade upgrades and unit strategy like go for closest/farthest/fastest. the idea of the game is great though.

France is bugged tier 3 units don't decrease in price with the achievements, the price on the screen changes but the price it deducts doesn't reduce either for the unlock or for the unit cost

Bug: After Garde-Price drops to 85 via achievements it still is 95 when u actually build them -.- (it shows 85 in the garrison-menu though...)

If the enemy is out of range and the game becomes endless because you have a high wall regeneration, "click the CALENDAR beside the WAVE COUNTER." It's all in the update information.

How am I supposed to get the unit repair achievements when my enemies don't even manage to damage them in the first place?

after the first couple of waves, the repair wall, repair barricade, and repair bastions does not indicate the amount needed to repair. this is very annoying and needs to be fixed. i need to know how much to spend for the repairs. this happens in the first easy round, but i dont know about the others tho.

Enemies disappeared, firing sounds continue. I put my mouse over something and i see its firing range, but when i move my mouse away, the green firing range doesn't disappear... now i have lots of those green firing ranges... lots of sound, but nothing else is happening...

cool game only I wish the font was more legible. My eyes have trouble with it. I have a form of dislexia and it's a bugger to read the text like this. still a nice game

This has happened to me twice now, I am playing a game and it will freeze, the noise of shots still plays, but if i pass my cursor over anything, it's health/range comes up and wont go away.
It doesn't unfreeze. It would be good if this could be fixed.
