Nice atmosphere in this game. And even though there was a lot of trial and error with the timed bombs, at least it was possible to make small changes to the plan. I really hate puzzle games where it boils down to expertly timing my own mouse clicks.

Though it was a bit easy, this was really, really fun! It was a very nice way to pass the time. Five stars from me as well.
Thanks :) Its really hard to judge difficulty in a puzzle game like this and I tended towards making the levels easier as I refined them. I'll be sure to include some more challenging ones in a potential sequel ;)

Awesome puzzle game with great graphics and really fun. There Should be a medium badge for completing all levels. 5/5 :)

Good game, the puzzles were well put together. The trial and error on the timed bombs was the only frustrating part; other than that, very good work.

I liked the fact the bombs stayed where you put them so if some explosions worked and others didn't you were only concerned with moving the ones that didn't work 5/5 :)

A potential sequel you say? Well, why not bust out the Chemistry.
Elemental Balance 2: A Periodic Challenge.
You'd still have the basic goal of setting wood on fire. However, you have things like Magnesium that coat surfaces. Once you ignite them, they burn through metal. The metal can't get to the water and rust at that point, and so you've failed that puzzle. Then, you add rust-proof metals like gold that you have to melt to take out of the field, which means that you've got to use the Magnesium to take out those pieces. Also, you could use bombs of varying strengths. That way, you not only have a greater sense of control as to how your puzzle pieces are flying around, but you can make larger puzzles.
Gunpowder bombs you use in the beginning, but then you may also have things like thermite that can burn holes straight down the field for a good distance before stopping. That way, you're not only propelling objects around the field but changing the field itself.
I would play that.

Extremely fun game! I've but one criticism to make, and that's of the fact that pressing space at the end of a level causes you to replay it. I'd really very much love if it brought you to the next one instead, which would be very nice and flowing.

It is very frustrating that the "fail" message appears so soon - in the sky levels, my last block is sometimes no more than half a millimeter away from the fire, moving towards it, when I am told that the level has "failed" - grrr!

Really fun game, I really enjoyed how it's simple but still really fun. There was only minimal frustration on a couple of levels which is great for this sort of game. 5'd

Well done, i look forward to a sequel, very clever designs. i also agree with several saying that it was easy, however it is challenging enough to be fun. i reccomend that if/when you make an addition to this series, like you did your element sections, possibly have difficulty subsections. just something to think on, great game! 5/5 :D

Looking forward to a sequel. Well done. Would love to see more levels and more variations in it. I thought the addition of timed bombs was nice, but a little late in the game.

I really liked it... but by far the best part was the timed bombs levels.
I would really enjoy a game that focused more heavily on that aspect, with a better system for timing the bombs... and maybe a time bar that you can play with going forward and backward in the time of the level.

Very nice game, and I agree with pretty much of the positive comments below. Two small tweaks could make it better: When clicking on bombs/fuses to adjust their position, they should drag from where they were clicked, instead of snapping to the cursor. When trying to fine tune placements, if you don't click dead center, the bomb or fuse can jump a pretty good distance. Second: being able to delete individual bombs would be nice, so you could reduce the complexity of your attempt without clearing all bombs or scooting unwanted but already placed ones to the side.

Level 9 of the Earth set was oddly the hardest one for me. I could have 3 balls burning and by adjusting the timing on one bomb without doing anything else results in everything changing, 3 balls in turns into only 1.
But oddly enough it wasn't frustrating trying to figure out exactly how to beat it. It was oddly easy figuring out the right times to set off the bombs on the Earth level for all of the rest.
I have to thank you for not doing a difficulty on the last level that was needlessly complicated by slapping together all of the elements and physics where we have to get the metal into the water and stop the wood from floating into the sky while getting it towards a small fire surrounded by water. I rather dislike it when puzzle games do that.
I agree that a sandbox mode would be great.

Terrific puzzle game that kids can enjoy as well as adults. I found the Earth levels to be significantly more challenging than the others - but still very doable.

very fun puzzle game simple at the start but a good difficulty curve and very satisfying when you get the timing right first time on the later lvls lol

This was really good game, specially i liked that earth part on this game. nice idea man, i really give you respect for creativeness.

Excellent game! I really like the timed bomb element. My only complaint is that the game felt a bit too short! I'll take more content any day! =)
The original idea was that all bombs would be timed. I realized during early testing that it was overly fiddly, so instead the timed bombs are introduced later for variation and on levels that require accurate timing to solve.

That game was the best! The most challenging levels were Fire 10 (Bonfire), upper left, Air 12 (Tunnel), putting the right angle, and timing in Earth levels with more than 4 bombs. Like Rastille said, challenging, but not impossible.

best part of the game? no 5 second "checking....." at the end of the level to see if you did it or not, it knows instantly once it's been beaten

One of the best physics games I've seen. Not only is this simply a nice game with great graphics, the physics engine mimics real life trajectories, which makes it easy to plot out a cause/effect whereas a lot of physics games have nice a/v but really poor engines. The timed bombs add a bit more fun! Thanks!

My thoughts: 1. Space bar should advance the level when you win. 2. The "running out of time" circular gif shouldn't come up as soon, and it should be less noticeable, not covering up the screen: perhaps a small watch icon in the top right corner. It should give you more time too. 3. The levels are all very straight-forward; there should be multiple ways to beat a level (like Angry Birds) 4. You should get bonuses if you beat a level without using all your bombs. 5. The levels should ratchet up harder, much more quickly. 6. You could introduce other types of weapons, like a laser, or a missile. Overall good game, looking forward to the sequel. PS - You should publish on iPad / Android / iPhone. If the game had good level design it could sell well.

WOW!!! excellent game, the first 3 sets are easy enough, but the real fun is in the timed levels. I loved them. Just for giving the opportunity of fine-tuning to the tenth of a second when the bombs will blow is really fun and appreciated, and add to it the challenging enough levels, it becomes a masterpiece. It's a 5/5 very well deserved.
Thanks - I increased the timeouts on Sky levels where I thought this could happen. Let me know if there are any specific levels that you think still have a problem!

i really liked the game... what would make it even better.. would be i there were several different kind of bombs to use and mixing them up a bit:)
thought the earth levels was the BOMB! ;)

you have to be connected to chat to collect achievemtns
if that doesn't help you can report a missing achievemnt by first disconnecting from chat (open a second game in kong) and then clicking the link on missing achievemtn

I hate you and love you for the Earth levels. I had an absolute BLAST! (pun intended) Seriously timing everything down. I wouldn't mind some more of these puzzle games from you further down the line. Great job. Keep up the excellent work. 5/5

Nice game, not too hard, not too easy. That will be nice if the system would ask for confirmation before you actually reset all the bombs.

Earth was probably my favorite part. The game wasn't super challenging, but at least I'm not complaining that it was impossible.
