I think you have to be very careful and quick when you play this game. Read the lines that come, fast. Me, on the other hand, can't read fast on demand. But other than that. 5/5

Good game but I think the Project Eden looks for a game that utilizes the use of music for the actual gameplay. The gameplay only relies on sight and reflex.

has very little to do with music, nothing to do with the symbolism that you're trying to imbue, and the visual style can make things confusing.

This is not so good for a red-green color blind person like me. Perhaps, you could differentiate the bad / good by giving them different shapes?

Yeah. It's music catch. We know it, the devs know it. The problem with using an engine from a flash game is that it's not that complex and just comes across as the same thing.

Does anyone understand how to resurrect the orchids?
Honestly, I don't. Though I do have a theory...it's definitely not simple.

fuuuuuu i was playing and then one of the orchids bloomed and this wierd pic flashed on screen and i fell out of my chair and my dad laughed so hard he had to lie down XD

carlituc made a good point about comparing this game to Music Catch. They are similar, but only because they are the same style of game. Personally, I like idea behind this game more so than I do in Music Catch. In Orchid, there is a goal. It's not only about scoring as high as you can; there is a story, a plot, and you are able to see yourself progress through this story and it made me want to continue playing. There are, of course, some things that could use some work, but I think the main idea behind the game is excellent. I, for one, rated this 5/5.

I hate to be so harsh, especially given that the creator does have genuine ability in both coding and artistic areas, but this is just Music Catch without the balance, playability and beauty.
Use your skills to make your own game. You have what's needed to make something great.
"Inspired by" does not excuse copying and degredation.

It's a good start. I like the concept - the way the story progresses so it's not just a pixel catching game. Unfortunately it's much too similar to Music Catch to make it feel like an original game to me. Also for some reason, the timing of the "opportunities" don't seem to match well with the music. Love the music!

Pretty nice game, Like the fact that it used pixels, and the ''fear'' effect that you feel when you get to finish a lvl if u are sleepy I will rate it as 3/5. If you improve it I will give a 4/5 or even a 5/5.
I do belive that the music need to be improved, also It would be great to lower the ratio of green and yellow pixels drop, I feel that its kinda HIGH.
P.S: Please, stop sayin MUSIC CATCH THIS OR MUSIC CATCH THAT, They are just the same game style, like we can say that every lunch game is jsut a copy of Toss the Turtle, when they aren't. They ARE THE SAME STYLE, so dont downvote it without giving this game a try.

It's not overly bad, as some reviews say. Yes, the Opportunities can use a bit of work, like how multiple blue oppotunities can be caught only if a green one is caught first. Other than that, I didn't do so bad. My score was decent, and I only hit a few yellows the first time. But really, it's not that hard. The pixelated background is different than that of Music Catch, which makes it different. There is some originality, though most of it is the basis of Music Catch. You can work on that, right stigmawall? I have a question. Besides the colors, where can the Orchid petals be found? If that is the object of the game, where are they? And can you make it clearer so they CAN be found as to just the opportunities?

I just want to know why it looks like I am playing this game through my screen door?
Not a bad game but not great 2/5 with some polishing a solid 3/5

take that back, what is wrong with all of you, rating down because it is SIMILAR to another game this is just simply wrong. -.- 5/5 and i havn't even played it. all to balance it out.

@le1337et well bro, don't ever rate a game based on it's appearance to another unless it's an EXACT copy. i don't see you inventing anything, in fact EVERY game has been created before. your idea of giving this a 1/5 due to that is just wrong. that's like giving bloons tower defence, or even the portal game on the site a 1/5 due to lack of originality.

Hate to agree with the majority of the comments, but this isn't original by far. It is.... an inferior game compared to Music Catch in all fields. The graphics are worse. The "opportunities" (You may as well call them musical notes) are way too quick and sporadic to actually avoid all of the yellow/red "opportunities". And the music is... meant for Beethoven's time and age to say the least. Really, a (SAD) copy of an original game, entered primarily for the prize. Honestly, Honestly? Music Jockey at this point is better than this rip-off. 1/5, 0/5 if possible.

this was a really nice game! until i got the first petal/enough opportunities.. That almost made me shit my pants!! Maybe a smooth change from the main BG to the other BG?

2 entrants so far in a contest to create an original music game. Both are blatant ripoffs of other music games. As a fan of rhythm games I'm offended.

people who say its shit havent played it with volume, the musioc is for people who are tired as it clearly says at the begining

the circles bounce up and down too fast, and not to the beat at all. kind of spastic. not as fun or pretty as music catch, even though the music was. also, the guy shooting himself partway through totally ruined the mood.

Nice first try, but this game lacks in terms of graphics and gameplay. There is just one song and no customizable options or stats besides score and score multiplier. The graphics are poor and almost a little sad to see tbh. The thing about music based games is that the experience is delivered not necessarily by the gameplay itself, but by the combination of the music and the graphics. The music ends abruptly and it sort of kills the mood and the gameplay is basic and you could say it depends on some luck.

This is just an easy version of Music Catch. Someone needs to create an original music game, learn to read the rules of the contest.
