More of this sort of thing! Your Mission in Space is still one of the finest things on the site and the prospect of more clever card games is very appealing.

IMO the best way one can start is with thieves and then countering witches with warrior. This is actually fun for its simplicity.

Balanced in difficulty.
Fun, short, and a pixelated game. Not to mention it's got cards. I love card games. I think my first battle was too easy cause I won it. :P
4/5

I'm loving the mechanic in this game, simple yet complex. My only request for an update, and I'd be willing to pay for it, is multiple scenarios and a storyline to go with it. Changing the number of squares, adding traps/treasure to certain squares, and so on, would really enhance the game, as would being able to have your cards attack opponents cards once on the field. Something interesting to think about at least. I've change my 4 to a 5/5 ;)

You can see the job describtions of the card in the opponents hand, meaning you can effectively know what cards he is holding.

Wow @ the music, just so relaxing. Gameplay ok, could be expanded a fair bit. 4/5. On another note, a few ideas to help make a multiplayer (if you do, and I think you'd do well with it): 1. Multiple types of each class. For example, you could use a normal wizard for the witch slot, which would do what warrior does now. 2. custom deck builder. 3. drawing seems very, very underpowered in this game.

Great funny and simple game!
It would be great to reproduce this game as a board one (btw could you tell if there is a card limit per role or not?)

i love how simple and fun it is. i actually got three decks of cards and used them to play with my friends.
witch-queen
warrior-king
ace-ranger
thief-jack
necromancer-joker
there would be 6 jokers(necromancers) apposed to the 12 card for the rest but that just makes a longer game.

an absolutely poor move by the ai: with the thief, warrior and witch slots full, the ai played the necromancer and got the witch from the past which made me think the only other card in his hand was the ranger (correct assumption btw). i didnt have a witch in play or in my hand or a warrior to save the day. knowing i was in for an inevitable defeat i played the thief, to which the ai responded by discarding the ranger from his hand, thereby forfeting certain victory. apparently the ai favor the witches way too much.

wonderful, simple, lean game design. one thing tho: if you play a thief while the opponent has no cards, but does have a witch, i think that the opponent should still have to make the decision as to whether or not to use the counter. that way, your thief can still be used as a bluff, and not just a wasted turn.

The AI needs improvement. It sometimes lets me play a winning move even when it has a witch out and a card in its hand; there's no reason that I can see why it should ever do that.

Fun, small game. Feels slow -- you have to wait for text to advance, when really you could play 2-3x as fast. Could be better with a deck builder.

I'm going to start playing this with a pinocle deck. A = Thief, K = Necro, Q = Witch, J = Warrior, 10 = Ranger but for the sack of naming I'll probably just call them Thief, King, Queen, Jack, and Commoner.
The kong API integration is already done, there should be highscores. But apparently there must be some action from the Kong admins to activate them, and as the game doesn't have a lot of plays...
