@Dhruv. Use rifles when possible. If you equip them with a scope, you'll be able to snipe their rocket launcher guys from across the map. Unless the map is bare, their rocket launchers will be the only threat. In addition, use rocket launchers against tightly packed individuals and pack animals, especially for Mad Dogs. If you can hit one of the horses, you'll deal damage to all the personnel around it.

@Iskandros .I tend to buy around 40 million worth of concrete and sell it in the Janubi zone. I can rack up around..... 60-70 million worth in one run. If I factor in the Gasoline I can buy from Twin rivers and the Cannabis I bring back, I can get up to 80 million (40 million profit). How much does your route bring in?
Btw, I've been taking your advice about Janubi industries. Its working quite well even though the money needed to start those industries is steep. Thanks for the advice.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Karod1Breaker What about secondary? Should I keep my akms/m16s or are there better secondary guns at qubba? Also, if rocket launchers are insufficient/low ammo/too heavy for olaf then what would be the second-?best main gun?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Qubba is all about rocket launchers. They deal massive AOE damage and cost $45000 in shops. A much better rocket launcher becomes available in the storyline when fighting enemies.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
what are the best janubi weapons to keep, or should any of them be kept in qubba region at all ? I am going to go start in qubba region storyline, and need to know the best weapons to buy (and sell) Budget is 4-5 million

@ChangW3 best route I've found so far is Hara (buy petroleum) -> Fort Gocks -> Sandstorm Basin -> valentingrad - sell petroleum, repeat. Every few weeks buy the lubricant from Tara'Koona and sell it also in Valentingrad. It's tedious but more certain than the cement trade.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ChangW3 right now i have a maximum capacity of 125 T. I don't know exactly how much of that is only for cargo. I just keep buying every young horse and camel I see, anywhere. Nature follows it's course and my capacity increases constantly.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Iskandros. Ah, I see. How much capacity do you have? I have around 52 tonnes with 12-14 dedicated to people, ammo, devices and such. It'd be good to know how my efficiency compares to others
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Yaddayada I've read that too but its never worked for me. I have 20,000 rep with Qubba, but trading in Grune Gang members only nets me 40k at most.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ChangW3 I grind a lot -_- I've been playing for about a month now. I also used the tips on the wiki. Super useful stuff. I constantly invest in new industries. (Shirts in Tobar especially). Also buy all the lubricant from Tara'koona and sell it in Valentingrad. I made about 200 mill in 3 trips from that one alone. Also I have about 400 horses and camels and sell their milk. It's enough to cover the expenses of my mercenaries (all 30 of them). I made my fortune in the Janubi region mostly. Tifk and Boxto seem to be able to handle 10-15 mill trade every few weeks, so I have industries there and keep upgrading them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ChangW3 I do not know if iskandros uses this method, but you can get ridiculously high amounts of money by turning in criminals if you have really high reputation with the faction, even from caravans. And by high, I mean by the thousands positive.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Iskandros I'm just curious, how are you making so much money? I make mine by shipping cement, but its kind of repetitive so I spend a lot of time going around fighting enemies. Do you use similar methods? Or do you have a better method?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I murdered the legendary chucknorris which happened to be undercover as a drekar warrior to deepen his understanding in how to use violence for the sake of violence O_o http://prntscr.com/jf1bdg
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Iskandros, I've bought it and honestly, its not worth it. Selling as much petroleum as possible to Valentingrad is probably the best way to earn cash in the late game

Tips & tricks: 1) Donkeys are amazing early game. Get every female donkey you can that isn't old/weak, and a male (for impregnation). 2) Make sure everyone walking in your caravan has at least 4 agility; this is 5 speed (donkey walking speed). Try to have 4+ physical too, since max HP is hard tied to it. 3) Loot liquid containers as much as possible. If you can't hold/use them all, store some in your room in the bunker for future use. 4) Build up a reserve of capital in the tribal region before leaving it. 5) Skill-boosting stuff, like Hammer, does not need to be equipped. 6) Discovered prices are linked under Cargo -> item -> See Prices. Don't bother to scroll the list in the Log -> Economy tab.

Is it worth buying the petroleum refinery in Qubba? I'm sitting on 140 mill now, so it wouldn't bankrupt me if it didn't work, but i'd rather ask first.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I know this game is old, but I want to play it again.. and I would love to have a game chat. So the few that still play that have something to talk ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
just for fun and curiosity, I have decided to morph map the caravaneer regions into today's world (I know, water bodies and distances make it invalid)
Tribal region - Asia/Africa
Alkubra region- Europe (Church headquarters)
Janubi region - USA (Donald Huffle)
Mikaze - Mexico
Ozebt - Northern US states ? (Oklahoma?)
Qubba - Canada
Federation - Russia (Di putin)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@iskandros i know right its very difficult, its better you evade the enemies than attack them (grune's gang have rocket launchers), but then the challenge is not to get lost on the way
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good lord how do I get to Qubba? I get attacked 50 times before I get anywhere close. I have 25 people in my caravan. Does that not intimidate groups of 10-15 that constantly attack me?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@iskandros Generators (and solar panels that you can get in the qubba region later) generate electricity. Some stat boosting equipment needs electricity to operate. http://caravaneer2.wikia.com/wiki/Devices Check out this page for more info on the matter.

Besides having escorted characters purchase and manage their own food and water separate from the caravan, another good addition would be the ability to adjust the food and water rations of livestock, which is not currently an option for some reason.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've always liked the Caravaneer games, but the one thing that really gets my goat (ha!) is that I'm actually allowing the person I'm escorting not to carry any of the supplies during our trek through the desert together. I gotta carry this guy's food and water for him? You gotta be kidding me!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am sorry but ruining the game for other people is just ignorant. Let other people figure that stuff out themselves.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i like the shinobi pillagers, if you catch one of em and give em the ultra crossbow and scope they will do around 100 damage each hit
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
once i was armed with all crossbows, went against drekar gang and did 0 damage. Next, had winchester shotguns against janubi police, again 0 damage. Why you do this to me caravaneer
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
just so you know what the stats do
physical- increases carrying capacity and health points
agility- increases walking speed and ap
accuracy- increases accuracy for both melee and ranged attacks (can be negligible with good training in later stages of the game)
intelligence- determines character dialogue (for you) and learning capacity at training centres for other characters (almost useless early game)
I am playing it with a 5555 build, maybe 6446 or 6545 is also good. Any allocation would work, but your play style will differ dramatically. There are no reset buttons, so allocate your points wisely.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Iskandros go to apis, take crossbow and cleaver mission, give him all the crossbows and cleavers (you might not have enough, thats why its not working) and he'll tell you to come in 24 hours (don't miss the apointment). If you don't have any crossbow bolts and cleavers, there is no dialogue option as you can only give something if you have it
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why doesn't Apis tell me how to meet Lois? I literally did the same things and made the same choices as I did during my first playthrough (which didn't save) and yet I don't have the option to convince him in any way.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
so basically it's a crapshoot if you can make all the right choices at specifically the right moment find lois and advance the plot or you have to restart the whole game. absolutely stupid
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
when gamers don't like the game because it has a detailed story (that's almost necessary to read) and story-inclined people don't like the game because it has active gameplay required;
