The complexity is not a problem. The best games are those you do not fully understand but can play anyway. This means, as you get bored of the basics, you can start exploring the other options at your own pace. If you are confused, just buy water and food and follow Cricket's advice. Ignore the other stuff until you are comfortable enough to explore it.

Voted 5/5 before I even loaded the game because it was so good.
But, I have played it 5 times already (i.e. started game 5 times) because the game would not save.
Please fix this.
But overall I would not complain because of the effort you put in it, as it is still fun even though the game would not save.

The game is really way too complicated and cluttered. Yes it might be a great game once you spent many many hours figuring it all out. But a Good Game should be easy to understand and not require you to read an entire book to understand everything. This is just poor gamedesign. You tried too hard to make it a huge game and ended up with a huge mess that's hard to understand.

I may just be dumb, but i can't understand this game at first. I may be fun, it may not. I made it through the tutorial but i still don't get what im supposed to be doing. Oh well, looks like a good game but my short attention span wont let me enjoy it.

I'm sorry but this game is too complicated at first. You should be given instructions step by step ingame, I don't like to study before playing a game, that may not be so good. It's a pity, but I won't play any longer.

A good game, but still needs a little work. The controls can be a little irritating at times, and it is super annoying not having a clear indicator as to what is sandbox and what is plotline. All stuff others have already commented on

Everyone who is complaining about too big Enemy groups. At the very beginning of the game you are tought about a magical key. It's "M". to stop in your tracks one you see enemies around. 90% of the time you can avoid any fight if hitting M early enough, hitting M again to keep moving in initial direction once enemy is out of sight. THIS is the reason for the "Vision" skill.

does anybody have a good strategy guide for sandbox? The only thing i've been able to do is sell medicines from orth. everything else is so close in price that i'd lose money supplying a pack animal.

I agree with lolkittens that it lacks a general overview. My suggestion would be an X (space-economy sumulator) approach: Have a "Standart" price (Let's say 25 for wool) which is shown along the "price you paid", so that you know what a good price is when you stumble across a new item. This, of course, would only be possible if a "standart" price is already coded but not shown in the game. Otherwise it'd probably take too much time.

could we be able to go out and find animal herds that are represented by roaming squares and says what they are ie;sheep herd, and you could hunt/capture them, please could this be implemented in an update???

@lolkitten get donkeys early or horses later and u will be able to carry a lot more.. and sir woofy when I got olaf I had 4 horses with large carts already

Having to sit there and stare at slaves running away is a real waste of time, especially when I've got a dozen slaves to only two fighters","to much of a learning curve, you need to add notes for us to look back on.","could you orginize the log better, let us have a list of sell prices", also it would be nice if the distances beetween some of the towns where so immense. the way it is makes it so its imposible to bring animals becouse they burn so much food and i cant carry enough to feed them through the seven day journey

So I am walking around with Spencer Rice, Olaf, and my main guy. I haven't been using any animals because of the price. I just went to Qubba to try to make 500k to pay off the chick in Tifik. I killed a group and got 2 horses and 2 carts. Everything is so much better now. Those horses help immensely.

Well, this game really needs more balancing. And some actual logic in combat, the cover mechanic (if there is any) doesn't work at all. Wank less and get some more beta-testing, SugarFree.

I really like the new system here, Janubi bandits now avoid me for a reason, I think it's because I was farming battle experience by killing them. In other words, "FEAR ME BANDITS" QUBBA is next

This game is incredibly unforgiving when it comes to missing story points. It doesn't indicate when something would just end the storyline and make it impossible to continue, and when you miss it, you're screwed and have to restart - but you don't actually know that until you realize there's nothing to do in the world anymore. Then you have to wade through your massive log of save files and find the one that is before that - or if you don't have one, since you tried to clean up that log, you'll just have to start the game entirely over. That is ridiculously punishing. Please, put warnings on things when you're about to cut off players. Something like "If you don't do ____ before moving on, you will not be able to proceed in this storyline.", or "Warning, you probably want to save now". Seriously, why would you screw players over like that?

The finished product is much better than the beta I've been playing for a few months smoother and a lot less glitches. Great work!

@Candle14 i did it with 5 other crew members 2 slaves and an assorted amount of donkeys and goats not sure on the number but you can use the goats milk to help with the food problem so you only have to focus on water and forage. When i crossed i needed 886 water and 395 forage. It may actually be easier to cross without animals because the donkeys dont really carry much more then they can will consume in 5 days it took me to cross to the towns. Slaves and crew memebers are the better option just make sure you have members that are atleast 40+ for capacity @mjeat you kinda can just dump a sheep in a town once you setup a sheep breeding industry. With that you will have to provide it with water forage and cash and in return you will get wool lamb sheep milk skin and tallow i think
