Rations at 100% are what you need to maintain your weight at its current rating . You can go over that, like 110%, 200%, whatever. If you're starving you need to eat a lot!

Escorts not helping carry sucks! No way around it short of letting them loose to die of dehydration. I suppose you could make them slaves, then free them at the next town - that would make them carry and survive, but would hurt your rep.

I'd try extra rations (Caravan/Supplies) until the character is back to near normal weight (Crew, bottom of the stats) to deal with emaciation.
The initial trip to New Serino is rough, but it can be done. Gotta min/mx the equipment.

Wandering the wastelands in search of a town that sells any food. Insects at least. Pretty sure it's a bug, but if not, then what the hell? How am I supposed to progress if I have to go both ways from tribes to New Serino and back on a single cargo of food? Donkyes don't seem to help much....

The background premise of the game treats nature like a paradise. In reality nature is just as destructive as it is creative, including humans, which are part of nature. What so many artists call the apocalypse is just what our ancestors lived through. To scorn progress in technology and its results is foolish. But the fact that this game exists refutes that premise and is better for it. Obviously people aren't all bad, or even mostly. Neither are they mostly good. Just my input.

If you buy slaves and leave them after you exit the town, your slave rep increases. However, if you buy slaves and free them INSIDE of town your slave rep does not increase.

SOme tips: 1) NEVER buy slaves free them - this wastes your money and increases your slaver reputation. Either keep them or leave them alone. 2) Keep all of your animals in good health if taking them to Sigurd's hut. I would recommend selling each one if I were you. 3) Pay some mercenaries to come with you when travelling to dangerous places. 4) If you give up Lois/Alice, you will find that Pullid hates you and your trustworthy rating plummets. If I remember, there is another way to New Serino, just ask Sigurd in the Kivi Camp. 5) Do not tell Emelia what Orion says. It will ruin your relationship entirely, especially if you follow through to the end. 6) Build up lots of money (100K/1M) before travelling out of the tribal region.
7) Sandbox mode is MUCH harder than you think. Always use a random character first to identify the nuances / Trade systems in the cities. These may apply in story mode too.

To figure out how much water you get from food, go to the supplies tab in your caravan menu, look under "Foodstuffs". Multiply the number in the middle column with the water % of the food, add together, and multiply by the length in days of your trip. This is assuming none of any food type runs out during the trip.
The reason it can't be shown on the map screen is because it all depends on how much you eat. If you don't eat it, you won't get the water from it.

A sound plan I've found for playing is to fatten up in the tribal region by oversizing your rations so that you don't starve to death when you run out of food out in the country.

I find it funny that even when I buy a large amount of slaves to free them, people still hate me for doing it. Lol they were eating cow beef and drinking sheep milk w/ me but i'm still a monster

the 3-d battles happen to frequently t not have an option to auto aculate the battle. its fun to tart but gets annoying. has ptential to be a great game if they would add some small quality of life updates.

One of the best things about this game, is the need for food and water while traveling, instead of most other games, where you never eat or drink, you just travle (most other games, not everyone else)

We should have a Stock Market in every town to invest in other Industries. So that instead of waiting and wasting millions to buy one Industry we can own a small part of the Industry. If we are going to buy Then the stock will fluctuate depending on the local town's economy. Would certainly bring trading to a whole new level.

caravan trading is super stupid and super useless..we sell at 10%price and buy at 400% price who the hell would trade with them..same as the trade button in caravan never existed

just realised i would need 300million to upgrade oil refinery so that i could support 5 umi alphas..that is if i can find 1650petrolium per day..patrolton produces 680..what a big route to get petroleum around the globe every few days so that 5 umi alphas can keep running..iits caravan killing time!sorry for posting too much but i see noone yet at korriban to talk.

my industries consume 700forage and town only produce 200 lol is there a way i could buy the town forage industry?i guess i will have to expand inventory a lot and but forage from other towns..btw im in milloshigrad with sheep and goat wanted cow too xD

a cow could be sold for 13k and had 300kg...slaughter would give 100kg and its worth at least i found at a place its 183$... 183x100=18.3k so cows would be worth more if slaughter when you get them trough fights and you have horses that are 4x faster just slaughter them in the moment and lose no speed and no money

if i turn prisioners to qubba prision will they overtime increase value with rep? or is it just with the slaves that the value increases? if its the slaves only i would finish story and slave them all

An item with skill bonuses adds to your caravan's overall skill rating. Noone in particular "has" the tool, unless you've assigned it as a weapon. A small knife adds 5 to your doctor skill whether it is just you or if you're with dozen mercs and it doesn't matter if someone has it equipped or not. Also, bonuses stack with different items. Two small knives don't give you a 10 point bonus, but a small knife and a large knife does.

the other option we could have would be to use the comment section as a chat lol but it would be worse...also dragonaste you can click barter when you have more stuff to sell the vendos has in money to see the difference you have to reduce.yeah vincentvonruss i dont think the tools are being used... i bought a tool for mechanic and saw no difference... if i buy one they go to the char with the higherst of that skill right??
