Easy overall. Needs speed up option for battles, and animation should start as off (or remember my last choice). Defending General should be more powerful,and have ranged attack.
Impassable terrain would also allow more strategy. Along with blind battles, or not being able to see behind their front line. Game has got room to grow, but very good start.

Looking at the guide, resources are awarded per hit, so you are way better off to create a mass of smaller stacks and get far more resources by prolonging the battle. I don't see why it should be that way, but it solves one big problem I was having in advancing.

I found myself trying in vain to grind for resources. I had very upgraded units, but not enough resources to make several lines. The enemy had 3x the troops I had. Going back to earlier levels to build resources was minimally effective.

Very fun, The way its set out is awsome, Needs achivements, Maybe a button that allows a choice of manualy controlling certain units and you get to set other units to AI controlled. 5/5

lamest strategy of the year: make a huge wall of 1 men units(melee at front, archers at back), except for one row where the units will be least likely to get attacked or have any units in the way. that row put a lot of pro units

If you make a second version, there should also be a defensive bonus for certain units vs, other units like Pikemen Vs, Knights for example. And/or even units who choose to move forward don't get to attack all in the same move. Adding these concepts would improve the game and make it even better.

Developer or anyone else who might know; Why cannot I get past Level 18 even AFTER I've WON????? Or, perhaps its "To be continued" for the sequel?????? Now THAT would be nice!

Good game but you should be able to sell troops if you want to restructure your army to a specific level and you don't have the troops you want and want to get to get rid of some for a specific strategy,

enjoyed the game, 4/5, but I won the battle for money early using small troops as diversion so my bigger troops could get the first strike. The desert was a nice touch, but luckily I had a huge army by then. I got so strong, I was able to fill every square even in the desert. Needless to say, I didn't have to worry about formations...just marched for the most part. It would be better if your existing army used resources or maybe went awol at the end of the battle? Anything to force a strategic advance.

Amazing game. Probably the only RTS I have ever seen, including paid for games, that formation and tactics matter in. Interface could be better, and you could have made a "save formation" button, so that if the battle didn't work you could use the old one, rather than starting from scratch.

it frickin erased my data halfway through. like the game, but it's way memory intensive. needs the option of turning off the animation before even entering battle mode. needs better mouse over on unit stats as well. might need some kind of difficulty level where it caps the # of units you can have. otherwise you just replay a level or two and spam units to win blindly.

Well, you don't need to press x after you pick your troops, it is only click on the tile again, and the window will be closed. After that, if you want to repeat the unit and quantity, it is only click again on the tile, and so on.

Thanks for making troop placement easier! One more streamlining request, then this game will really play well: Don't make me click the X every time to close the troop placement window. Just let me click the next square to place a troop. Then you can set up your line nice and quick.

Very nice game. If there is ever a second version, fine tune the graphic, make characters slightly smaller, larger map/more tiles and selectable diffuculty. Let us use the Defender unit sooner, by level 6 for example. Increase crossbow range a few tiles even if they have a weaker attack. Have an optional speed up game to move characters faster. Otherwise 3.5/5 overall.
