about the winnable level, the player is supposed to be lose. it's anticipate with a lot of troops, but some player is very smart and know how to win. About dividing the ending in two scenario is very interesting and challenging to me. thank you for your suggest.

to rocskillah: the point is acccuracy. the further the archer, less accuracy the attack is. that's why the maximum damage is only at melee range.

the game keeps talking about formation strategy but i haven't found it yet. i just fill the map with elite archers fronted by an appropriately contoured row of pikemen, and my 600 troops storm through the pathetic enemy "formation" with minimal losses... too much money - and apparently you can replay levels for even more money if you want??

4/5, and its based on elite archers location to get to lvl 7... otherwise not impossible. Tactics are a must with formation usage

the game was fun.only a few things: a)i got too strong way before reaching desert area. b)less clicking to place units would be a nice feature.maybe something like set a troop profile and paste it to all the boxes you click on.

A lot of fun. Interface could really be streamlined though. To place a unit, you click the square, the right arrow until you find him, then the X. Since you always want to do a line of units, it winds up being a lot of clicks. Could you let us select a unit type, then just click every square we want them? Would be a lot easier to set up battles.

okay new ones. it blows that you cant buy the elite shield, it makes game super easy that u can just farm on village of defenders and gain tons of resources, and i shall continue i swear, but i am also still playing so its cool tho. wish i knew i couldnt use the elite thing before i lvld it to 4

mmm weird i just won level 18 where objectif says i can t beat the level...also after killing their general i get the losing flag and on top of that i can t hit the continue button, i have to restart.

I really liked how it begun, honestly. But why on earth would you innovate wargames so that an archer is more effective in close range than in long range? Have you seen an archer? they dont have armors as heavy, coz they couldn't shoot.

My only suggestion to this game would be to speed up the combat or allow the player to increase the speed via slide or whatever. I can start a battle and go make a sandwich in the time it takes to complete the first combat level!!

Some UI suggestions: The animation button should be sticky. If I turn it off for one scenario, leave it off for later scenarios unless I turn it back on myself. Similarly, when filling tiles, please default to "troops in this tile will be just like the troops in the tile I just built."

Excellent start to the game, but there is an obvious exploit that kills the challenge. On the second battle, go to the upgrade screen and spend your experience to upgrade your pikeman. After you win, instead of going on to the third battle, click replay. You will have all your original experience, plus all the upgrades you purchased. So, replay the second battle and spend experience until you have all pikeman upgrades. Rinse and repeat until you have all fully upgraded units.

In continuation to my previous comment: I have got to the cavalry part now. I wasn't surprised that the elites were blocked TOO. But the battle which you're not supposed to win is winnable, and if you win, you... fail the mission? I have seen this type of fight in Shining Force 2, but there, no matter if you win or not, you get past this battle and continue the storyline. Just make an alternative ending to this battle(when you kill the enemy general) and I'll be glad you did. I'll keep my rate at 4/5 for now.

this was a pretty good game ima give it 4/5 hated having to lose lvl 18, i failed after i had won it. oh well not bad get it to work on kongregate and throw on some badges.

Hate to just say the same thing over again but...comes up as site locked. Why the heck would the game come up as site locked if you ARE on Kongregate? I dont understand...

I have already came far and stopped by to comment. When I have got to the 1st level with the defenders, i asked myself: "What? Site-locked content?! And they have blocked the elite defenders which avoid damage?!?! This is not right, the game is for Kong and Ageofgames ONLY, and you can play this in full ONLY on Ageofgames! At least you could've blocked the elite upgrades for the defenders, i just wasted 750 exp!" Of course, this is just a great game, and the mechanics are simple, etc. etc. 5/5, but the sitelocked content without even a warning decreased this to 4/5. Sorry.

Very good basic idea. Can be improved in the UI department. Assigning units is too cumbersome. Units data should be available on battefield and upgrade screen. The resource system is a bit strange. If following the objectives and killing minimal enemies you end up with less resources because you have less kills?

1) Needs some key-shortcuts; placing the troops one by one when sacrificial tactics (tanking with a huge load of 1's and flanking with 10's) are mandatory is pretty tedious.
2) The general statistics of different troops (attack, defense, strong vs, weak vs, special abilities) need to be available in-game, preferably in tooltips instead of some other website (why didn't you put them in-game to begin with?!?).
Currently a 3/5 game at most, with the shortcuts and tooltips it could be a 4/5+ game.

The game is interesting and very clever. I was a bit lost in the story but 5/5.
And I found the way to make the game work! To "Play" the game, right-click the screen. Click on "Play" which is above "Loop". It works just fine and the game is interesting. Plus to keep this comment alive.
