I can agree that "premium" items give an imbalance, as well as also using cash for instant upgrades, but what I'm trying to get across to people is that they judge a game too early to rate. This is one of the reasons why I don't follow any rating on Kongregate because there are always people who will load game, play 5 minutes, rate 1/5 or 0/5 then leave. That's not how a rating system should work, but there cannot be a system to resolve that, so it's difficult to get the point across.

I will agree that people should play the game a good while before judging. As for my rant, it was more talking about the balance issues when developers impose microtransactions in a way that gives those paying more power. Even if you can win, unbalanced gameplay is definitely a reason to give the game a lower rating. Saying that no one who doesn't pay has a chance of winning is definitely an exaggeration, but my point still stands. As for the game, you can buy most of the stuff from the store using money you earn from fighting others, or you can simply pay premium money and get it instantly, an example of convenience causing imbalance. You can also buy resources and speed up your buildings.

Red, did you even read all of my post? Most people, whether if it's a pay game or not, don't play the game as much in order to get a good judgement at it, that doesn't make them a good critic. If anything, you can still have a chance of winning players who pay for the game depending on the playing style. Of course, the chance is more limited, but doesn't make them impossible to defeat. Whether you're a developer or not, you should play the game a few more days before actually judging it, Assuming you're one of the players who saw it was a hot rated game, of course. Plus, recent updates have made the game more balanced when it comes to using money and such, I would know because I have played for months. I can see where you're coming from, but the fact that free players have "no chance at winning" is wrong. Don't believe me? Go ask some of the players who have played this game for months who haven't paid one dime on this.

At least put skyshards, like 1 in daily rewards. and ZBZZN there were games like this BEFORE BACKYARD monsters. Did backyard monsters have honour? no. But still. Add more towers and buff them slightly. Like add a Aura Of Defense, This defensive aura raises town health for all buildings by 10% and 5% defense boost. This aura should be buyable with 1000 hnr

lmao left this game about 1-2 months ago because of serious lack of updates and basically synap putting it on the back burner for a long time after release. oh btw the only reason this Pay-to-win shitfest is on the frontpage, is because it has synaps name on it

@Corrupt0 Most people aren't mad that the game requires money, it's that the game is heavily unbalanced in favor of people who pay money. This creates a game that advertises itself as free-to-play, but those who don't pay money have no chance at winning. This creates a terrible playing experience for those people. Developers should use microtransactions in a way that doesn't unbalance the game, but provides convenience for the paying customer. The trick is making sure the conveniences don't, in fact, unbalance the game as well.

Im getting sick of all these time based games kongregate is putting out. I don't hate them that much but when you release half a dozen of them in a month I start to get tired of waiting X minuets to play again

Jdmds, you do realise 10 buildings at the time would make the game too easy?
Plus, I love all the ignorance here, rating it 1/5 because it's a "Pay to win" game. Have any of you even tried it? Quit hating and actually play the game properly before you start judging. None of you would make a good game Critic, what about games on the Xbox? Do you want them free as well? How selfish.
Anyway, this game may look similar to Backyard Monsters, but it is not. Quit comparing and play the game.

ok look it takes way too long to build/upgrade your buildings and you can only do 1 at a time this is stupid this game would be a bit better if u can build/upgrade about 10 things at a time and slightly reducing on the time for building and upgrading things would make this game a bit better

there has to be the possibility to end the tutorial early.. the game crashes when i have to attack the syrelian outpost, because the tutorial-message doesnt come up and nothing happens before that -.- normal attacks work so its a problem with this tutorial.. nobody needs a tutorial at this game, there are 100 games out there which are exactily the same -.-

Have you checked out the Campaign, or the Codex? They give you quite a bit of background into the Skyshard world. Additionally, Conquest Season 2 starts tomorrow, which will introduce high level guild combat.

I really like the game, very easy to play and nothing out of the world, also I like the fact that you can move your buildings, but we really need several things... 1) Rate of Production, seriously, is like 1 minute of resourse per minute, that is SO slow, is like I have to wait 100 minutes (1 Hour 40 minutes) to full 1 production place... 2) More protection time, you have like 12 hours to make yourself a Pro and defend your little village for another Pros, so dude, seriously, prolonge that time!..... 3) A reward! Every multiplayer game has that, a reward for keep playing the game OR for meanwhile you are playing, you get some items or resourse, that could be awesome... 4) Optional, some flip option, that could be very good! Really enjoy the game! If you can take at least 1 of these tips I will be very grateful!

In reply to Debylas. I agree, like in Backyard Monsters, there is a limit as to how much you can attack a person each day or 2 days I think. That'd be better! Otherwise all your resources just keep getting stolen by the stronger ones and they keep growing stronger and you keep getting weaker. Ironically, that's kinda how the world works o.o
