haha, this game have pretty much all quest rewards in gold, and there are a few dozen things on sale in the shop, but here's the catch, there's only 1 thing in shop that you can buy with gold: the basic pack that gives just 1 card. the rest are bought with shards, which have 1:1 ratio with kreds, or with kreds itself. lol. not to say this game isn't fun to play for free, just giving you an idea why people say this is p2w. along with its energy system, yeah, you get the idea.

This game is very much P2W but with time, effort, and dedication F2P can get -decent- decks in this game, at least from what I have see so far that is.

To my honest opinion, this is P2W, but if you only spend time and wastin' time around, you can do the PVE without payin'

been playing 5 months, can't get anything done anymore cause I am Free to Play. I'll keep playing but they get 1 star because they are liars.

Great game if you're looking for something relaxing and simple, but avoid it if you're looking for a game with a lot of action. A P2W game, but you can still enjoy the game if you're a F2P player.

Gee talk about being the MOST SIMPLEST FORM OF CCG YET.In fact i think i can compare it to heartstone
Heartstone:
-Great graphic
-Rng is bull@#$^
-Sorta p2w but i love it without paying a single cent
-Awesome gameplay element
-NO ENERGY SYSTEM
Spellstone(Notice the stone in the title?):
-P2W
-Rng as f@%*
-Graphic came from the fridge
-Horrible gameplay(It so f$#(@* simple)
-ENERGY SYSTEM(Why such horrible monster do this)
Tl;DR
Just play heartstone or magic:the gathering

@PonceMcBeaty Give it time. Games like this are fun for few days/weeks, than you realise how p2w it is and without money you wont be able to compete.

if cards are to be bought, then not by gold but by dust, say 5 dust common, 40 dust rare, 100-200 epic and 1000-2000 legendary. But with Synapticon's monetizing attitude epics/legends will only be available to buy with crystals/kreds.

I was a leader of a guild and made an officer a leader. So I am now officer and want to leave for a 50% bonus guild as I only just started the game. How do I leave? game wont let me! X(

Great online ccg I love the artwork and storyline. Two things that would heavily benefit the game in my opinion would be live 1v1 duels and having a wider variety of cards available in the basic spellstone pack. + if you guys agree

Also the rate at which you gain dust over time is horrendous. Provided you employ your energy at its fullest, you gain 5 gold per energy point spent (and a common card for 4 battles, that's worth 1 dust), 100 gold are turned into 1 dust most of the time, and 2 dust on average. So, 5000 minutes (!!!) of waiting are worth 5 dust if you win your PvE battles, and 1 dust if you lose. Bounties are pretty capped by power level of your opponents, but they provide a 15m into 3 gold worst case time/gold conversion, which is about thrice better than energy/gold rate. So, another 3 dust per 5000m worst case, 15 dust best case. Great. So in three days I'd be able to afford a maxed dual common. ONE.

This game is not a CCG, it's a CUG (card upgrading game). In CCG you acquire a card and you plain don't need to do anything with that card anymore but put in a deck, play and have immediate profits. Here you first get the card (and it's nearly impossible to get a quad legend anyway, and almost impossible to get a *certain* legend - you'll get some random ones but nothing of certainty), then you upgrade, upgrade, upgrade, grind for more upgrading, and only past a certain level does that card bring you profits. Also being 2 days into the game I seem to have hit F2P cap, that is, some of the battles require luck to draw that OP card (one out of 15) in your first turn to have a *chance* to win that battle, and cost 4 or more energy, and bounties seem to be as loaded with power cards as do PvE enemies.

I'm a huge fan of TCG's or strategy card games, so naturally I'm enjoying the hell out of this game. Now before anyone yells at me, I know this game is a lot less strategical then most games, but its still fun.
Its a great little card game, fun, easy to get into. I can agree with some people that it is rather P2W, but please to let that be a turn off. Although it is possible to boost by paying money, with enough time and dedication, anyone can get the best cards. Besides, until you get to around bounty rank 8 or 9 you will rarely ever encounter a pay boosted player. So I can't stress this enough, don't let the P2W factor of this game be a turn off. If you get to a point were you can't stand it anymore, just stop. I've been playing for a good 3 weeks now, I haven't spent any money, and have only encountered 2 pay boosted players. There is still tons of free gameplay, so don't worry about it and just have fun and play at your own pace!

I'd just beaten my first batch of Rank 1 bounties, then came the first Rank 2. And the very first card he played: A fully-upgraded Epic Aether frog. :/ Also, this game feels far less strategic than other card games I've played (MtG, Hearthstone, and on this site - Card Hunter, HD myth). My main 'strategy' is to chuck out whichever card seems strongest. The abilities don't give more control (all rng targets) and cards can only be deployed in one place, which does not leave much room for tactics. Perhaps there is only deck building. (The cards are also unbalanced in power/cost) The shallow strategy makes me feel that all my wins are due to having superior cards or luck, which is not very satisfying. The graphics are nice, but otherwise this game has the depth of Little Alchemist, and is just as P2W. 3/5
