I have got the hard badge on July, 2018.. Yet, I come from time to time to play this game only because of the awesome music..

Thanks to pldl for letting me know which levels I needed to keep raging on and which ones to just forget about. Level 30 was the one that took me the most times, just because of the number of times I had to be pixel perfect.

Level 51 - "Meatwad make the money see, Meatwad get the honeys G,
Drivin' in my car, livin’ like a star, Ice on my fingers and my toes and I'm a taurus"...<3

Yeesh. 42 and 47 were my hardest levels. Moving enemies are easier because there are distinct patterns - and once you've got the energy already for that level, going without dying does become much easier.

You should reset the death counter when we die without having touched a checkpoint. There's no point in forcing us to reset the level again if we're starting out in the exact same position anyway.

I think any level can be doable with a little patience after getting used to the controls as long as there is no moving enemies. Level 42 is not that hard, there is no moving enemies; on the other hand level 30 is diabolic because of the moving enemies.

There's a shortcut on 78: Fall down the pit to grab the two lightning bolts. On the ledge you land on, edge off slowly. As soon as you fall, tap left to land on the edge of the fire ledge. Then jump and go left all the way past on top. Nice! Upvote so other can see!

I had to reload the page and load my save to receive the badge for the BotD. Don't know if it's specific to me or not, but just a general heads up.

0 deaths takes WAY too long for most levels because of constant lag fluctuation. By the time one finally does it, they've died so many times that they shouldn't have, it becomes too frustrating to want to continue, knowing there are dozens more levels that will be like that. One moment I ease short, hitting a killing obstacle, the next I slingshot into it, both from pressing the direction key with the same amount of force. 2.5/5 until such issue is fixed because flawed movement like that ruins half of what is normally an excellent platformer game.

Don't go for hard, some levels are milimetrical. Why bother? Let play his game himself. Since we can't choose difficulty level. At least in console games, people can choose between easy, medium and hard levels. In kong, everything is at the desire of the creator. I do not understand why they are not adapting those difficulty because Hard badges should be based on time spend.

I really enjoy the game, but one nitpick I have is how hard it is to read the number of deaths on the game stats page. Single digit numbers especially seem to be missing chunks, and it's not even consistent for a given number. This makes it annoying difficult to tell whether I'm at 0 deaths for a given level or not.

ok is it just me that the game will randomly decide to speed up in levels then lag, and lead to WAY too many deaths to even think about the hard badge?

If you're going for the hard badge, of course follow pldl, but instead of playing the game twice back to back, I recommend replaying a level as soon as you finish it if you died on it. And when you're doing the no death run, you can press R to restart, which I don't think was mentioned anywhere? Very well designed simple platformer, would probably be a 5/5 if not for some nitpicks. Some things are more frustrating than they should be- like getting into 1-block vertical shafts. Your slime (or "jelly") is pretty fast, and that makes it hard to line up with one exact grid spot. This probably wouldn't be a problem with a controller? And you can land on the very edge of block that has something on it- a spring, a gravity switch, or occasionally even fire!- and you will stand on the block itself instead of activating the thing.

Good but... For the sake of gaming frustration, don't do 1-tile-height 3-tile-distance jumps, especially if there are multiple in a row mid-level. They aren't fun, they aren't clever, they are pretty much luck based.

I found it easier to beat level 53 than level 30 - with 0 deaths, I mean. Pldl's advice is invaluable though, so thank you.

i love it. It's challenging and rage-inducing, yet not so rage-inducing that I want to give up on it. I love the way the jellies leave marks on whichever surfaces it touches, and that some levels give you a choice of making it harder to get lightning bolts or making it easier by skipping them. It's a very tempting challenge. Those moving jellies of different speeds really made things interesting. I can't even put the rest of it into words. I just love this game so much. It really stands out from other platformer games. I wish Kongregate had a 10 star system instead of a 5 star system, because I would totally give this game a 10/10. Amazing job!
