Dude you totally owe me a new laptop, or at least the keyboard.
Jumping and Walljumping feel highly unresponsive sometimes, makes it hard. I wonder if I get the 1000-deaths-achievement.
Pretty nice concept.

I like the game, it's really nice....overall, but when it doesnt jump arrrrgh i think the pig's death is what he deserves! LOL

@luqui01 Its like making an fps with a trigger that worked half the time. Any time you make a game thats flawed at the most basic level, its not a great game. This game could be really good with just a little listening and tweaking. It could be a 5/5 game but now its at most a 3/5.

I hate Mr. Bree so much. Controlling him is like driving a cow. I actually enjoy watching him die now. Screw you, you porky bastard.

I really enjoyed this game. People are just upset cause they are terrible at this I imagine they would say the same with super meatboy. I thought it was a very good game enjoyed it thoroughly and it was not too difficult.

Dear developer: Just ignore those noobs saying that the game sucks just because of the jump controls. I LOVED this game! I LOVED how, most of times, your save point is not a safe spot, as there are traps at the save point. I LOVED also the part with the Bad Memory Piece (I think it is something like Level 4 ou 5). I spent 5 minutes trying to retrieve it, and when i did, i loved the game saying "Man, you have to be a ninja to retrieve this memory piece!". This game is AWESOME. Favorited. 5/5.

one of the worst games ever. This disappoints me but the wall jump controls are horrible + to keep this comment alive

So much games with only a correct gameplay but no story nor graphic originality, and this one has the more uncommon qualities but not the basic ones... I have a real disappointment, this could be awesome.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not much criticism to add other than what everyone else has said, I think the failing is the game engine, and would take too much to correct. Looks nice, doesnt play nice.

Space bar is factually the worst button on the keyboard and forcing the player to use it is a design failing on a fundamental level.
I also found it visually, very hard to take in what was actually going on when in instances where you had to run.
There are some good things going though.
But space bar. wtf.

Really disappointing. Looked like it was going to be a great game, but the controls are unforgivable. Even turning the quality down and sound off, you cannot get the controls to respond in the way you want them to. Could so easily have been a great game. Now its just frustrating and needs work. 2 stars as it stands.

I liked the game and the wall jumping is fine. But for some reason the controls got "sticky" later and I would jump farther then I wanted to and jumping would delay sometimes. This messed up the wall jumping and everything else which is why I think people complain about the wall jumping controls, but really it's a memory leak issue or something.

Thank you very much good game until you get near the end. Then you have to start wall jumping, witch is a complete pain in this game. Ill play it again when you fix that big problem.

Could be a great game... The play control was horrible. I can't count how many times I pressed jump and nothing happened. The wall jump mechanic was also horribly broken. This is not forgivable in a platformer.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heh, the wall jumping mechanic isn't THAT bad (it's more forgiving than Super Metroid's, actually closer on par to Mega Man X...), but I would prefer to be able to remap the keys.

A lot of effort went into this game. Unfortunately, a lot of it is wasted due to inordinately difficult level design and wall-jump controls. 3/5 primarily for the music and art; 2/5 otherwise.

You're not the only one, Socran. I really, really want to like this game -- the storyline is intriguing as hell, but it's so frustrating battling the controls. They call for precision jumps and half the time it won't even jump at all when I press the button.

Sorry to see such a potentially good game to be pretty much unplayable because of the sloppy keys. I would have given it a 5, has a nice feel to it, but come on, every so often the keys stop working, or, literally, the pig goes left, when I press right (happened twice so far). I would give it 3 now, but going to wait, maybe the developer will fix it. And it really looks like a lot of effort has been given into it, so let's hope they make it better.

over all nice the level of precision required is tiresome and ruin nice game like these for me, add an accessibility option that slows down the rate of fire pls. as is 3/5 with the accessibility option 4/5

Is anyone else experiencing an issue where the controls will suddenly stop responding for half a second as if they've "lost connection", or is it on my end? When it happens, not only will buttons not work, but taking my finger off a button won't register either. (i.e. I'll keep moving when I try to stop.)

remap keys, or at least allow arrows for crouch and jump. Hate games that force you to spread your hands forcible across the left hand side reaching for awkward keys and usually end up hitting the wrong key on top of that.

For those that are trying to get every achievement, once you complete the game, you should go back to complete each level without dying. On some levels it is much easier to accomplish this by doing reverse mode. I have only three achievements left: Clear all bricks on level 17, die 250 times, and get every achievement. I kinda wished that the creator did not put in the 'clear the brick' challenge for level 17, as it is actually harder than trying to clear that level in one life. (I got by the buzz saw section by pure luck, making a mad dash-jump, barely clearing the area. I think there is another way, but I am to impatient for that :) ) The rest of the game was great. 5/5

Man is the jump button slow. In the second butcher level, I literally sat at the first jump and must have died about 50 ish times...at least, since I got the 'die 100 times' achievement and there's no way I died 50 times up to that point. Maybe 25 at the most, so probably more like 75 times I died on the first jump on the second butch level...and it wasn't because I couldn't figure it out or something, it's because I couldn't count the number of times that I tried to sprint and jump and my guy didn't jump; he just ran straight off the ledge like I had pressed nothing. Hell, the one time he actually jumped AFTER I RESPAWNED. That's how slow the jump is. Then again, the sprint button was sticking pretty badly too. And yes, I had it on low quality. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to complete an already hard level and having technical difficulties make everything worse.

I, for some reason, get the feeling that if all livestock ran around wearing funny little outfits that PETA would have significantly more success recruiting members. Actually, that's not even true; PETA wouldn't even need to exist because nobody would be a threat to something that rocks a cape as awesome as that.

good game, but i wish i could press up for jump and those status messages of him remembering things are in the way, need a way to remove them from play field. also the brown blocks need to reappear after say 5 seconds, cause having to die to get them back sucks

A couple suggestions: 1. Remappable keys. I found straddling space shift and R to be pretty darn awkward. 2. Recap all text bubbles the player activated at the end of the level. I can't dodge, plan my next jump and speed read at the same time.

Tags: Metroidvania. Seriously? That was for a Castlevania game that played like Metroid, not a type of game. It would be like calling a sandwich made with bagels a "bagelwich," then calling anything with meat and bread a "bagelwich meal."
