Collision detection is bad in the butchery. I landed on platforms next to and above to spikes and still died. Also got hit with a blade on the wrong side of the emitter. If you're going to have an achievement for not dying, it would be good to prevent cheap deaths from errors.

1. Land on top of circular saw shooting block.
2. Block shoots circular saw.
3. I die even though I was not hit by it.

The lag on Firefox is killer, and changing the quality has all but zero effect on the amount of lag (not to mention it visibly does almost nothing). That sucks a lot, especially since the game has such great potential. I would love to play it enough to properly rate it, but until the lag issues are solved, I cannot.

The lag on this is kind of killer, a big issue for me since I'm not much good at platform games anyway. I will never finish this game, haha. I dont have the patience. However, its great looking and the story line is wonderful (from what I can tell so far). The music is really wonderful as well, a huge plus for me. 5/5

Great Game, spectacular music! (Also even though it's kinda not funny, kinda got a laugh at the ending credits cut scene where Frenchie got what was coming to him.) My only one complaint was the controls seemed a little unresponsive...at times I'd be speeding along and would hit space to jump...and the game would fail to react and I'd run right into a spike, or I'd push a direction key to move, and Mr. Bree would stand there for a second or two, though this could just be my keyboard too.
Overall though, great work!

I think the major problem is that there are so many times where you have to push more than 3 keys, and doing so usually makes one button (specifically jump) not work.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Okay so, great game. One problem I have though is that when I walk off a platform, I'm not able to jump. While this makes sense (I'm not an idiot, I know you need ground to jump,) It makes it an issue when I am running on one block platforms and I just fall and die because jump didn't work because I wasn't fast enough or something.

I honestly expected the Butchery levels to be harder - I waited until I had finished the main story to start the Butchery levels and I figured that they would be more of an homage to Super Meat Boy in terms of frustration! Mechanically, they are amazingly well made, but I guess the checkpoints were a bit too frequent for my tastes. Still, five stars! You have made yourself an amazing game good sir!

Wow! I've just checked your profile and you're not only brazilian but from Pinda! I spent some of my childhood there! I wonder how the city is after 20 years I left it! Good work guys!
I really REALLY like the artwork also. That 'european' style is really neat.
Hope to see more from you here on Kong :)

great game but the wall jumping gets in the way of playing, and also some of the weak dirt is way to low makeing you constantly hit it even when you sprint at the last mm of the jump youl still break some of it,anyways still good

Upgraded from 1 star to 5 stars, my controls are completely fixed and I'm as happy as a pig in mud. Thanks! I gouged my arm in rage from dying at the end of the final butchery level on hardcore mode, though. It's a good pain. :)
That is really good news! Do you know if it was the new version of the game, or did you change/upgrade something on your computer?
Thanks for the help! =)

Amazing game ! (especially the "near home" music) ; a couple suggestion though. 1) Make some kind of "highscore mode" which would desable checkpoints, thus enabling the player to win the levels with 0 death without having to restard it manually (which doesn't always work). 2) Make it impossible for a player to reduce his number of deaths whilst playing on "reverse" : on some levels, it's really a piece of cake. For example the last level of the butchery ! 3) Enable the player to deactivate wall-slide or whatever you call it, on certain levels/passages it's really annoying. 4) Fix the double-jump / wall-slide bug, i cannot describe it precisely, but sometimes it doesn't work properly.
Sorry for my english, and once again : congrats, keep up the good work !

Awesome game. And exactly the right amoung of difficulty imo. A good platformer should always have you on the edge of rage quitting, but not in a way that feels like "cheating". I love it!

I hate this frustratingly difficult game! This is how a true platformer is supposed to be. Thank you TawStudio. 5/5 with ease. P.S. the guy who said it isn't frustrating is lying, but it's the good kind of frustrating.

XP sp3; Pentium D 2.8GHz; Firefox 10.0.1; Flash 11.1.102.62;
Game ran great for first 3 levels. Tried out lvl 16, and movement/jumping is all badly lagged/desynched with keyboard.
Very disappointing because it seemed interesting, and I'm seeing great reviews from those not experiencing extreme lag. Also love a tough platformer, so hoping you can get the bugs worked out.

Love it! and also, BEST TWIST-ENDING EVER! The story alone with the ending needs 5/5. The gameplay and the control are very responsive and feel quite natural. Challenge is good enough, not too crazy, Reverse and Hardcore mode should suffice for those requiring higher difficulty! all in all, really good and solid game, keep it up!

The hardest part about this game is not the level design, nor the enemies. It's the controls. "Oh, that was a double jump? Sorry, I didn't know." *dead* About 80 percent of my deaths were due to the controls alone.

I couldn't get past the lvl where you get double jump. I tried for 10 minutes and kept hitting my head. I couldn't complete the game because of this. Nice try though.

To the Bree team, great game, good story, lovely art work, awesome music (loved the guitar), fantastic gameplay, it was difficult and a challenging... no lag, no problems.. Amazing game!! Keep up the good work, will look forward to more games from your team.. 5/5.

This is a good game 5/5. I beat it all the way (except reverse and hardcore). It's a very challenging game, and you did a great job designing the Butcher levels. It gives an ominous feel...and its very red. o.o

The controls do feel greatly improved in 1.0.2. Walljumping is still a bit awkward, but it didn't keep me from beating the game.
I'm disappointed (and mildly frustrated) that playing through all of the levels on hardcore didn't automatically qualify me for the "not dying" achievements. It's a pain in the ass that I have to quit out of the level and restart completely when it's, functionally, the exact same as playing through it once on hardcore.
A bit easier in fact.

Great music, story seemed like it might be decent. Everything seemed to be working great for first 3 levels. Tried the first butchery level (16) and the game was so unresponsive I had to call it quits.
Quite disappointing.

Thanks for updating the controls, they're much better. The later levels are too challenging for me, but I'm sure there are players that will enjoy them. Looking forward to your next game.
