@misterkoala when you have the unit menu open if you click on the X1 square (left side of the upgrade box) it will change allowing you to upgrade by more than 1 level at a time (assuming you can afford the cost).
you can only do this when the full menu is open. if you minimize it to the shrunk version you can only upgrade to what it is set at

I've played 1hr 26mins and got all the badges except for the Impossible one. Probably won't ever get that one-- only can clear 244/1000 waves so far.

Almost everything in the store costs like $5-10. Way too expensive. Just buy a paid indie game at that point instead of spending the same amount of money on 2 microtransactions in a browser game.

@fretninjitsu: Depending on your browser, you may just have to change its settings so that tabs not in focus are always processed. Terminology varies, but basically to have the browser run more efficiently a lot of them will literally pause content on tabs that are not showing on your screen. If you disable that efficiency feature, that should allow the game to keep running. Alternatively, just have the game run overnight with the tab with the game showing on your monitor (you may need to disable screensaver/auto-lock.)

changed tab for 20 mins.
Game didn't collect ANY gold on purpose, because you have to pay for that.
That's NOT A F*CKING IDLE GAME.
I personally dislike the devs for making me waste a whole day actively playing this (then I started changing to idle after grinding) without making this absolutely clear before wasting a whole day of my damn weekend.

Took me about a month to get the impossible badge, although I played very suboptimally. Total playtime is 5 days and 15 hours, with 54 prestiges done.

10 days for the impossible badge for me. Bit of a boring game though and the prices for your paid stuff are so high, why would anyone buy anything? You would probably earn a lot more money if you halfed the prices and then halfed them again with 'deals'

@sillypirate I have seen similar and my suspicion is that using Boss Rush means that for the first set of waves you only get 1/5 of the levels because that's how many waves you have actually play consecutively, even though the "highest waves" achievement records the actual wave reached. Ideally the Consecutive Wave achievement should also record the highest level passed without letting an enemy through, as otherwise it just punishes the people who use a given mechanic.

This would have been a banger tower defense game, with start, progression path, and ending. But no, it had to be a by-the-dozen idle grindfest. Such a shame

i used to play this game on my phone back when it released, have to admit i'm kind of happy to see it here :o) i like fryangle a lot

Stuck at wave 11,810. Towers aren't getting any damage increase post level 60,000 (level ups say +0). Trying to get into the top 100 :( any advice appreciated, DM me if need be if you have advice!

Update route: Focus on gold generation.
Since gems could easily trade into gold generation(1000 gem -> 250 tech scrolls == 83 gold drop + 1 tech scroll. earn 1 gold drop per 12 gems in average), focus on gems generation is the first important thing.
After gem yielding are maxed (Cargo gem in PvP; daily mission's gem in tech, Cargo ship hp (buying this allows you kill more ships, which earns more gems than it costs. You could buy it in case you have difficult spending gems or killing cargo ships)), you should focus on gold generation.
For gold generation, alchemy is the cheapest one (1 gold drop per 6 gems), but needs an acceptable exp earning rate.
Buying tech ship hp and kill more tech ship could be a cheaper choice (roughly 1 gold drop per 8.77 gems) than buying chests directly. Thus in case your gems are not enough, you could firstly buy tech ship hp.

For beginner who want to reach wave 7500 ASAP (~2 months):
a) Do NOT spend real money, gems are very cheap (~2000 per week). If you could wait for a whole month, you'll earn lots of gems.
b) Do NOT spawn tech ship or buy chests before you could earn 5 scrolls from them (unless you want to waste gems), and in case you could spawn tech ships, you basically needs to go through the rightmost line and going as deep as possible, until daily gems are maxed.
c) In case you want to buy chests with gems, do NOT buying chests that cost <1000 gems (unless you want to waste gems).

Took 3 weeks for the impossible badge, focusing fire and water at first and then spreading the wealth when you get into the second to last tier of monster cards. Focus damage and -elemental resistance. Fantastic game.

Here's a thought. Make the monster info window transparent when using the "range" slider. A lot of the time, I have to guess because the range is covered up by the info window.

Love the game but interactable things on the map (even just flavor text when clicking something) would be appreciated *but not a big deal.

Took me 9 months to get the impossible badge being very lazy about it. Spent 9k gems that I had saved up and pumped up the monster damage %. Reset every week or so to build up. Logged in almost daily to get the bonus. Could probably have done it in a couple months, but I'm glad to stop playing now. LOL

I made level 2341, got my new artifact, saved my game and when I came back I was at level 2334. They need to fix tha Save Button once and for all!!!!

If you're only just starting out, don't fall for the game speed trap. Later on, when you've unlocked the final tier of passive water monsters, one removes elemental shield(chance), and the other teleports the enemies back to the start. The chance to trigger resets each time you move them into that range, so you can retry say, 10 times or more, vs three or so times, via ab(using) the layout saves(upper right corner). Afaik, switching off the (x2 speed) under "options" WILL NOT revert you back to the absolute minimum speed.

@jojjannes Skipping waves(boss rush) will mess up the count. You need to go through every single wave for it to count.
