I come back to this game year after year and it never fails to amaze, touch and unsettle me. Especially those sighs. Love the atmosphere of this game, thank you!

ln Greek myth, there were two lovers: Orpheus and Eurydice. When Eurydice died, Orpheus sought out Hades, the god of the underworld. The dog you fight
represents the guardian of the gate, Cerberus the three-headed dog. Upon meeting Hades, Orpheus convinced the god by singing and playing the lyre. Moved, Hades allowed. There was one condition: Eurydice was to travel behind Orpheus and if he were to look back before exiting the gates, she would be lost. Orpheus took the offer, suppressing every urge to turn. Just before the gates, he made sure she was behind him, thus breaking the condition. Eurydice faded before him and returned to the underworld. Grief-stricken Orpheus never sang nor played the lyre again. Refusing to play for the Maenad, female followers of Dionysus, mainly known as the god of wine, he suffered the fate that every victim did: he was ripped apart. Painful as that might be, he was reunited with Eurydice once again.

Too much of this seems to be spray and pray after the first boss. The big demon thing can aim its shots and shoot enough that it's impossible to dodge. Sure it's possibly to eventually beat them, but it should be possible to do it on the first attempt without luck or explanation of what they are. Just seems like you're meant to fail. I don't like actually wasting time.

Wow, a badge acquired all the way back in march 2009. No wonder why I didn't remember playing that game until I was halfway through.

Played it long enough to get the first badge (today's badge of the day). Then got hacked off with the dog. Stuff it. 1/5

Played it again to understand why I gave it a 1/5 rating and had only got the easy badge. The controls are laggy and some enemies are faster than you. I'll keep the 1/5 rating.

I really enjoyed this game. The bosses were easy enough to find their weaknesses, and there were rather interesting puzzles (as well as a fake-out). There was only one room I struggled with, and it was with the bats and disappearing platform.

@bananana: That's because your definition of a "philisophical" (sic) game is a pixel game. Other than being pixelated, there is nothing about this game that would qualify as philosophical. There aren't even any words.
