I wonder..... the story says that Orpheus can't look back until he reaches the upper world. Did anyone try to look back once you got out of the underworld and before you reached the grave?

wow. that's all i can say. and fcuk. i will tell you this. in the end of the game, when they both banish. it do gives me the goose bumps. i don't know why but maybe because i was suffering in loosing someone special on my life too right now. i wish that would not happen to me. lol.

Man the music is awesome !
I agree with remaai, i think it's what the creator wanted ( adapt the myth into a game )
It's a good idea to make this rule ( never look back )
5/5

Best sound of any game I've played. Game is based on the Orpheus and Eurydice myth:

this reminds me of a myth. where a man's wife died and he made a deal with someone that if he can go to hell and back and not look back to check if his wife was there with him. his wife couldnt make a sound. he was driven to madness and at the very end he couldnt take it and turns aroundto see his wife. he lost the deal and I think his wife was trapped forever... did I really type all of that.... huh... I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!

Anyway to fix the loading bug. The game enjoys loading each new area but will many times forget to load the character.
I've tried multiple reloads to fix this issue, but now I'm at an impasse to where reloads no longer work.

I almost defeated the big demon guy at near the end. He just found it fitting to unleash a fireball during hia death sequence.

I love the haunting atmosphere and music. Somehow after playing this game I feel sad and it makes me wanna treasure everything I have and be a good guy :)

I like the game, it's an addicting game, but kinda annoying! Every time I try to complete this game without dying even once, I end up dying 30 times while trying to defeat the final demon.

@Loseirdo
I fail to see your point. Unless you have a game on here, kindly shut up and just play. The idea behind videogames is to offer challenging gameplay and possibly a story. So what if it's based on Orpheus' adventure into the Underworld to save Eurydice? So what if it doesn't have the same charm that original story had? It was fun, it taught people something that they didn't already know and it did so with a "minimalist style." Sure, you may act high and mighty because this isn't THE REAL DEAL...but then that just makes you look like an asshole. Hell, I could also go around and start downrating the physics-based games because they aren't like "The REAL DEAL" but I don't because 1. They are fun and 2. I don't want to look like I'm trolling a flash game on a Tuesday afternoon.

Your think you could have made it less obvious the whole story was stolen i mean you can see pillars(hint hint greece or rome) the first fight is with a three headed firgur( WONDER WHO THAT COULD BE hint hint maby cerbereus?) and finally you kill Hades HADES yes i said it the whole thing is based off of greek mythology i wish you could have covered it up more please dont steal more stories make your own :[

I just realized this is based of the greek myth of Orpheus so im a bit pissed and gasman your wrong the whole point is he must save her without looking back unless they will die and at the end he realizes the second he went to rescue her he looked back killing his and his wives soul so the point is you can not rescue loved ones you must cope with it.

I really don't understand what people see in these games. It's just a vapid retelling of an old Greek myth with none of the charm. There's barely any semblance of a story. The gameplay is primitive at best. Downvote if you want, I honestly don't care. All the people commenting "5/5 genius best game ever it's so sad" make me cringe. And no, it's not that I "didn't get it", it's that there's nothing to get. It's a boring story with hardly any exposition and empty, lifeless characters. Ye gods, it's like Twilight.

if i had to guess... i would say this game is based off the old greek myth of the man who went to the underworld to find his deceased love, and made a deal with hades who said that he could only have her if he led her out without looking at her

So every time you look backwards your wife disappears? Okay...try not looking backwards when you walk backwards. Problem solved.

srry for double commenting - me down if you want i just had to agree with gasman86 but i think you left one key item out the whole mentality of dont look back was strongly represented by the girl losing her soul everytime you pressed the back key once again sorry for double commenting!
