This is one of the worst video games I've ever played. Unresponsive controls - check. Horrific graphics - check. Mindless - check. Random and arbitrary - check. Overtly Repetitive - check. 1/5 and bailing on BOTD.

OK, I've figgered out how to get past the dog easily. Run underneath it as it jumps, turn and shoot. Do that a 2nd time. On the dog's 3rd attack, jump over it, turn and shoot.

Clunky is not strong enough word for this game. The slow motion action is horrible. And it is not well balanced. The difficulty is in the first half of the game and then it is like the developer decided to just toss some extra things in but was limited by the "don't look back" and none of those challenges are actually challenges. They just delay the end of the game which should have ended after the final boss.

I can't myself see why people find this badge so hard, but then I've played the game on another site before so I suppose I have an advantage.

This game is remarkably easy.
If you have played games like this for the most of your life.
Not a medium badge though. Too easy for that.

You guys know you only have to get 5 days out of the week to get the shiny badge, right? I've been seeing for a couple week snow people saying they won't get it because they can't/won't get one badge a week. And like, yes it's frustrating, but it won't ruin your shiny streak.

Nevermind I got it, the trick is to run at him when he jumps then shot him in the back until he is at a third health, then jump over him then shot in the back once more.

Might be the clunkiest boss I have ever fought. No clear indication of weak point(the head), the projectiles are bullet-hell close to each other, you shoot way to slow compared to the enemies spawning, can't jump onto the platforms from below like most platformers, platforms vanishing is just annoying and causes a ton of extra time since the only way to dodge some attacks is to abandon the platform, plus 1HP. really bad.

@Actoue i'm shit at platform games, but this one wasn't THAT hard. a bit frustrating at times, but doable. i had already gotten the easy badge a couple of years back, so i didn't play through the whole game now (i skipped the "escape the darkness" part), but i did get the medium badge in about 20 minutes or so. would probably have been something like half an hour if i would have had to redo the darkness part. my point is, if you want that shiny botd, you can do still do it. it's not that hard.

For people like germophile who experience continuing to go one direction, it often means that somehow you ended up selecting outside of the flash player while holding that button, if other buttons are working (like being able to jump), then press left (or whatever direction is stuck) again, and it should make it unstuck. If no other buttons are working, then click in the game again, then press left (or whatever direction is stuck) again, and it should make it unstuck.

ok apart from the chills that i got from just the ending scene alone i f*cking love how funny it is that somebody essentially went "orpheus with a gun" and proceeded to make a entire game about it thats most of the game

help, I lost control. I don't know what I pressed but now I keep going left and can't control the guy. He's just gone all the way from the cave with all the bats after the 3 jumping guys, back through several screens to a poison lake and keeps falling in. I was trying to shoot bats with the space bar, and somehow my hand was over to the left, and kept pressing buttons until this got stuck here. I don't want to start from the beginning. Does the game save?

The jump on this is so stinking buggy it's beyond irritating. You cannot hold down the arrow keys and get a consistent jump.

This game gets 1 star. Graphics suck. Controls suck. Falling into a room with one snake, two bats and the sucking jump and shoot controls while the bats aim for your head and a gun that won't shoot up or while jumping sucks.

i loved it, it was like art in a video game there was just this compelling force where you would die and die again but couldn't back down to quit and finishing it you realize how beautiful of a story it is
