Meh. Scenery is too dark, causing the papers to be insanely bright. Was expecting more horror, and just got zodiac symbols. 3/5

REALLY ANNOYING having to click one word away at a time. Next time, just use the one word effect on the opening scene only, not the actual game. having to spend five minutes clicking away dialogue because I misclicked on something is not fun >:(

@willydude There isnt a single glitch in this game, and the confusing story wouldnt be an issue if you actually played the second season, and even if you dont want to pay for it just read the wiki https://thelastdoor.fandom.com/wiki/Summary

To end my criticism, the story. Its too confusing and honestly unintelligible to me. I havent played season 2, very much because i dont want to with everything ive seen so far. Sure this game is rly good in artstyle, theme, and even music, as low budget as some sound design is, but when i actually play it, there are way too many times that i need a break for a long exhale and to put my hands in my palms because... god.. no thank you. (To preface, this review will be split in two because it's too long) I feel like im the minority here, but i rly dislike this game. Alot of wierd choices exist, such as having to click, read the description, then click a second time to obtain, when it comes to obtainable objects. And then there are puzzles that i would have never ever gotten if it werent for a walkthrough; in chapter two, using the rock/net on the pipe?¿ using the teardrop on the mary statue? Good god. And then there are things that look like they would be puzzles/obtainable but arent, for instance, going further into father ernest's room, or needing the boiler/firewood in the basement for something in chapter 1. I could go on and on with these examples, mind you. Plus there are many bugs that make it seem unfinished in general. In chapter four, in the second basement area toward the end, theres a small picture type of thing at the upper left corner of the doorway, most likely left in from production. (1)

The whole "look first, then click again to take/interact" is a nightmare. It's so annoying to walk (so, so slowly) through the house, clicking on things to piece together the puzzle, be stuck, and then have to do it again because you didn't double click on something.

That was the most difficult chapter of them all. And the only one I had to use a walkthrough for. Albeit I was pretty close in figuring out the solution when I was stuck, but it kept swallowing tons of my time so I thought it's not worth it to go at it on my own.
Great game! Too bad season 2 isn't available freely. But I understand that the creators need to make a living out of their craft! I wish them the best of luck.

*Inspects the key that was inside the cuckoo* "It's a fencing sword. The blade is broken in half." Oh, well... if you say so, Devitt.

Is that a Doctor Who, or more specifically, Weeping Angels reference in the diary page for August 5th, 1887? Wretched Sculptures, stalking in the darkness, crunches, flapping wings, frozen paroxysms, and last but not least, an impossible struggleto get back the life they never had! Then the reference to putting them in the greenhouse (In Blink the one at the house was out in a greenhouse-ish garden.) Great game series btw :)

"He seems to be in some sort of trance, what could have happened to him?" Maybe it has something to do with the empty box of heroin on his dresser.

I wish I could play season 2. This game is amazing. The developers should consider making a real movie with their beautiful talent.

I get the feeling that its going to end in you being the bad guy and all of this is in your head....crazy in the head is what am getting at.

The game is too large for my screen, and when I resize the screen, the edges of the graphics get all jagged and ugly.

You know a series has messed you up when, upon seeing a dead deer, your first instinct is to use its blood to cover a light bulb for that nice red color.
Then it works. -_-
